There’s an alternative in Mandarin for ‘it takes two to tango’: “一个巴掌拍不响”, literally meaning that one hand doesn’t slap out loud.

Very nicely done, Elliot, and I do enjoy listening to your cool British accent. I notice that you've made a point of saying that you do not use outdated expressions. However, I can tell you that here in America at any rate, every one of the idioms you discussed has been around for quite a long time. They were all used when I was a kid (in the 1950s) and used by my mom and dad much earlier. But never mind, I enjoyed listening to you, and I will look for more of your videos. And if it's not being too old fashioned, I congratulate you on "getting hitched", and all best wishes to your lovely "ball and chain".

Every time I see this guy on my homepage, I feel like I don't remember why, but I must watch this. I don't even remember what's so special about him, seems like something common. And then I turn it on, hear him speaking, and understand why I thought I had to. These speeches sound so intelligent, so sexy, spectacular. I think there should be a term for it, kind of BSMR British sensory meridian response.
