Driving on snowy slick roads isn't safe either but we all do it. Climbing ladders, crossing a busy street ect. Life is a crap shoot. Enjoy the time the good Lord has given us 🙏. Prayers for the man who passed away 🙏

Most ice fishermen take the risk because they are obsessed with it ( my son is one ,I’m not taking the chance myself )

Neither is texting and driving but everyone does it. Don't be a back seatxdriver to someone. People will do what they want to do. You don't blame anyone else for your own actions. All recreational activities have their own risks associated with them some minor some the ultimate price. The man did what he loved and went out doing it. Leave it be. Anyone can bet on a horse race after its done. You sound like the kind of person that drink Bud Lite. Always telling people what they should be doing.

It amazes me the amount of idiots that don’t get it when it comes to ice. The way this winter has been, why would you even think it would be safe. 🤦🏼‍♀️

@@user-gi8kg2yf1j There's no assuming anything. Seeing as how he's now dead, he obviously didn't know the risks--even after 30 years.

The Mississippi river is popular with snowmobiles. And here.... The Snake River. There always some open water....they like to skip across. Very exciting......unless something goes wrong. Then your screwed. Hypothermia kills in minutes...sometimes longer. A miserable way to die. Your outer extremitys quit working. Legs . .arms. the shaking is your body trying to get warm....but the body shuts to just the core systems... Heart...Lungs....Brain. Painful. And agony. I once....just hunting on a crisp winter day... Stepped through a small creek i was thinking was shallow..... I sunk onnly up to my knees. But i knew. Survival Instructor....Got to get back to my truck. I barely made it..... both legs had literally no feeling...i could barely walk. Got in the truck. Started up. Heater full blast.... And i stripped. The jeans were solid...took some effort. Man that was close......too close. Remember the old DNR warning. ICE is never safe. Not to be traveled on a whim.

  • @marksolarz3756

Im sure that side by side ride.. was hell. A windchill dont help.....rushing for help...or a warm fire. Very warm water can help....but not to hot. Rubbing gets some circulation going. Walking around if you can... remember your body will shut itself down......a life jacket? Well......at least they can find your corpse. Instead of putting divers at risk looking for you. Very dangerous work... ..even the recovery of that vehicle.

Man is it too much to do the extra work and stay out of your car? It seems so trivial. Falling through is in the back of my mind even when I'm alone on a foot of ice, I don't know how people have the courage to drive their death boxes out on the lake like that. I can't do it. I'm sorry to this man's family for the stupid mistake he made, stay safe yall.❤
