    Sorry for wind noise- filtered but still plenty remaining.

    My girlfriend just got me one of these you make some of the best videos on testing no long intro no needless bs just testing the product and making sure it works and what it does and what it looks like great videos 👍

    Notice at 2:04 - 2:08 where you are taking range measurements at the hay bale and small building. While it's hard to tell for sure in the video it appears that the hay bale is closer than the building, but it returns a range of 1088 to the bale and 788 - 790 to the building. The beam divergence on this range finder appears to be at least the size of the reticle if not larger, which is about 25 MOA and makes it very difficult to get reliable range readings on even something as large as a hay bale 1000 m or so away.
    It happens again at 3:04 - 3:17 where you take range readings on hay bales that are clearly closer than the buildings behind them, yet the rangefinder tells you that the buildings are closer by nearly 200m. This thing appears to have some serious problems.

    Well. I'd say that you measured in ELR Mode the wrong way. Product manual: "Continue to hold the Measure button while ranging in First, Last or ELR target mode."

      Tried it several ways before video. Our guess for such instruction is for situation where measurement is done free-hand or with other unstable support, to get continuous trigger while "shaking" beam over and around target. But we did it with tripod and also checked that beam center is aligned almost center of ring. Conclusion was that if 2-3 dead-on measurements didn't produce result, then next 10-20 pings did not work either. So basically done this way to avoid unnecessarily long video.

      Blatant disregard for the instructions... Here is a video that properly describes the problem th-cam.com/video/opjhTpMsWe8/w-d-xo.html

    I just got one and when it starts getting dark the whole lens is all most red. Are they supposed to be like that when it starts too get dark?

      Are you meaning image tone or reflection from lens? They are coated, so colored reflections are normal.

      Ranging distance for the buck- pretty much unbeatable. Works very well, as long as targets are not very small.

    The laser will NOT reflect back to the rangefinder when trying to range objects at an ANGLE. That is, the wind turbine "body" is at what appears to be a 45 degree angle. The laser is hitting it and reflecting at a 45 degree angle AWAY from the rangefinder. You need to be at a 90 degree angle.

    • @FinnAccuracycom
      @FinnAccuracycom  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Incorrect. There is always some reflection back, even if not in 90 deg angle.
