I’ve been noticing that deer have been seeing peoples setups going up the tree and it’s gotten a lot of hunters busted by the deer. I know to set up on the back side of the tree, but do you have any suggestions on color of straps for my sticks?
Honestly that’s a great question. Deer are so observant when it comes to things out of place in their woods. I was just talking with a group of hunters and why I try not to trim too much around my stand. Deer notice the tiniest limb clipped and deer notice things out of place in their “house” pretty easily. So, a new setup or straps around a tree will naturally grab their attention. Color I use is either brown, black or green. Thanks for watching!!
Yes we do. If we see someone up in a tree we just back out and go to another area. Always a good idea to be respectful to other hunters when hunting public land. Thanks for watching!
We usually don’t post where we are at, just out of respect for those who hunt there regularly. But if you wanted to DM us on our Instagram account, I would be happy to chat via that method. I assume you recognize the landscape and you may hunt or have hunted this one before?
