Self-Filmed 176" Missouri Giant!!!
2024 deer season finds us back in Missouri chasing that buck that has eluded Mike for over 15 years. This fall didn't start well after a health scare, this only allowed for a late work trip to prep stands, nothing seemed ready. Yet, things all came together on this particular November morning to create the hunt that will last forever in our hunting camp stories.

First Time DIY Euro Mount!
มุมมอง 15321 วันที่ผ่านมา
First time doing a Euro Mount myself. I watched a bunch of TH-cam videos and thought this was something I wanted to try on my own. I hope this video encourages others to try and do their own Euro Mounts. Thanks for watching and drop some comments if you have any tips or tricks for doing DIY Euro Mounts.
Self Filmed Buck Down!! Bowhunting Missouri Rut 2024

Snake is in Missouri for the annual rut hunt with the guys. Him and the whole crew had a crazy fun week with lots of good action. Snake connects with a nice 8 point on day 8 of their rut trip. Always a fun time in deer camp with the guys and its always better when connecting on a solid buck. Thanks for watching the video this week! Instagram: tinesandtrailsod
Early October Indiana Public Land Hunt 2024

Mike is in Indiana hunting public land early October. Hunting a new area always has its own set of challenges, but that is what makes hunting public land fun and keeps us coming back for more. Even when a deer isn't tagged the memories will always make these adventures worth it. Thanks for watching and following along with us as we hunt across the Midwest! Instagram: tinesandtrailsod

WHAT !! - another MORON !!
What was all over the deer? Ticks, dirt????
I wish I could identify their actual name but I think they are called “stick seed”. They are the devil if you ever run into one of the plants. Worst thing to try and get off basically any piece of clothing. I use a tool called the “Burr-Paw” to get them off. Works awesome.
Learn something new every day!
Congrats, heck of a hunt, not sure why you passed that double beam buck but hey congrats either way.
That double beam buck is for sure an awesome buck, but just one we agreed as a group to pass and see what he could do if he makes it through. Definitely a tough pass though! Thanks for watching the video!!
Man I miss hunting in Missouri , northwest Missouri to be exact . It was such a great time being in the woods and also seeing the people we met over the years . Thanks for the video . awesome awesome bringing back the memories of great hunts with family and friends
Thank you for watching the video and channel. We have hunted all over Northern Missouri through the years, both public and private land. Both offered some awesome times with friends and family.
Can you shoot a compound bow from a sitting position? Its the best way to hunt in my opinion.
Yes and that’s another reason I really liked this stand. I like shooting from the sitting position, a lot less movement.
HOA exited about that smell. lol
As long as I don’t get an HOA fine in the mail all is good 👍
What county you hunt in. We got some property in Gentry and Albany .
Might wanna blur the blood out yt could take down the video
Wow, great shot!
Just picked one up for $125 off an older guy that only used it for 2 hunting trips. Hard to say if I like it more than my gunslinger stand. Will likely use this one for short sits & the slinger for all day sits. Summit 180’s getting listed for sale.
Always good to try new gear to see if there is something better out there. Everyone has their preferences, but this stand is great to use when I hunt Missouri public. Trees down here pretty tough to get in with any old climber. This stand I could get into practically any tree. Had guys in my group with Summit, Old Man, API and many of the trees I got into, they could not. Good luck and thanks for watching and offering input!
@ a well thought out design. Was planning on trying out a combow stand next season (made by the same company that makes slingers) but I think this equalizer will fill that void. I like how you can easily change the seating position while in the stand. Question though, I’m trying to put the stand together for backpacking & the lever on the bottom platform blocks the top portion. Should that lever be in the inside of the foot platform or sticking out off the side?
I’ve been noticing that deer have been seeing peoples setups going up the tree and it’s gotten a lot of hunters busted by the deer. I know to set up on the back side of the tree, but do you have any suggestions on color of straps for my sticks?
Honestly that’s a great question. Deer are so observant when it comes to things out of place in their woods. I was just talking with a group of hunters and why I try not to trim too much around my stand. Deer notice the tiniest limb clipped and deer notice things out of place in their “house” pretty easily. So, a new setup or straps around a tree will naturally grab their attention. Color I use is either brown, black or green. Thanks for watching!!
What fwa is this?
We usually don’t post where we are at, just out of respect for those who hunt there regularly. But if you wanted to DM us on our Instagram account, I would be happy to chat via that method. I assume you recognize the landscape and you may hunt or have hunted this one before?
Do you ever see other hunters while walking to your stand on public land?
Yes we do. If we see someone up in a tree we just back out and go to another area. Always a good idea to be respectful to other hunters when hunting public land. Thanks for watching!
Nothing comes close to the lone wolf climbing tree stand.
Hate all the lone wolfs I just ordered this stand never even heard of them but I’m 6’2 280lbs
@@brantleywhisnant6139 For your size this climbing stand is for you. I just feel sorry for the tree. Safe hunting.
Yeah but I can buy two and a half of these for what that LW costs.....
Doesn’t even come close to the Lone Wolf Sit & Climb! Mine is 26 years old and solid as a rock!
I think every hunter has their personal preferences. All of us in our camp have different gear and with this climber and hunting Missouri state land, it made more sense for me. I can get up in trees other climbers could not, including Lone Wolf. Snake uses the Lone Wolf sit and climb and likes it as well. They make a lot of great pieces of equipment for all of us hunters. Good luck the rest of this season and thanks for the comment and watching!
Hated my lone wolf sit and climb and .5 hang on over priced just well marketed I ordered this stand yesterday be here Thursday!
You can beat everything else but you can’t beat that nose.
100% truth! I don’t care what you use. Their nose is unreal.
You need to learn stand placement
We all are 😂
Not quite the one ya wanted eh?
Both of us have a certain standard and even in our camp, each guy has different sizes for the buck of their liking. Keep an eye out for the videos, one of us has already tagged a giant. Thanks for watching the video! Good luck the rest of the season!
As a Tennessee public land hunter o can tell your not a Tennessee public land hunter😂😁 just playing but I would’ve totally sent one at that first buck! But this is the main reason I want alittle bit of land to hunt so I can some what some what confidently let more mature bucks walk.
Ha! Actually one of us is a TN public land hunter. I am(Snake) hunt East TN public land when I can find the time in between my daily work and dad duties. Had I been back home, I would become Larry the Enticer and “Just Going to Send It”! I am also looking to invest in some land very soon in order to be able to manage it a little better. Good luck the rest of the season and thanks for watching the channel!
@ oh that’s awesome!!! Can’t beat these mountains! And good luck to y’all as well may the rut treat you well!!
I only get out for rifle, but my son and I are so pumped! Not sure where in MO you are, but down here in SEMO they're looking great this year. Happy hunting!
We are up in Northern Missouri and it’s always a blessing to be able to get out and enjoy the great outdoors, especially when you can do it with family. Good luck to you and your son this year and we hope you connect with whatever gets your blood pumping! Thanks for watching!
@@TinesandTrailsOutdoorsI hope you get on I’m going hunting this weekend hopefully or next weekend hopefully
Semo dad I hope you get one as well
There are hacks tobe able to adjust a summit while up in the tree and they are lighter.
The comperable Summit is listed at only about a half pound lighter than this stand. The advantages of this one far outweigh the Summit.
Wow.. glad to know you’re okay. Get healthy !
Always been a guy appreciates everything I have in life, but this really brings focus to many things. Appreciate the well wishes and hope your season is going awesome!
What do i have to do to get one
Here is their website where you can find the right stand that fits you and your needs. www.buckshotmfg.com/equalizer-options-2.aspx
I want one
I know both my son and I (and all the other friends) who have this stand love it. As with any piece of equipment, it’s just another tool for the tool belt! Good luck this season and hope you connect with the deer you’re happy with. Thanks for watching!
Where did you get that hanger at? The one I have and everything else I can seem to find that will strap to a tree is made from plastic
Latitude Outdoors. I highly recommend the strap and the bow hanger. Thanks for the comment and good luck this season!! www.latitudeoutdoors.com
90 here in Oklahoma smdh
Ok I won’t complain too much then. That’s hot as blazes for hunting. Hope you brought sunscreen! Good luck and hoping for colder temps my friend!
@@TinesandTrailsOutdoors I didn’t bring anything but a cut off T shirt and 3 arrows. If I sit back in the stand it’s some shade
I am dying laughing right now. I should’ve followed suit.
Same here in Texas. Cool mornings hot evenings. But a front coming! 🤙
@JunkyardGardener I should be used to early season hot weather but I for some reason just can’t. 🤣 Good luck to you guys this season!
Sorry to hear, but glad to see ya!
Hate to hear about your heart attack
Yeah it was scary stuff to hear the doctor tell you that. Always live life, loving every day I wake up but definitely was a shock to me. I will play the hand that I was dealt, knowing what I have to do moving forward. Thanks for the comment and good luck to you this season.
@@TinesandTrailsOutdoors hopefully l even get to get out keep popping my hip out that l had surgery on back in March, a person has to live life to the fullest while they can it’s way to short buddy
@@NorthMissouriOutdoors 100% agree and I try to live by that every day. Never take one day for granted. Sending positive vibes your way and hope you can make it out into the woods this fall and connect with a buck that gets your blood pumping.
@@TinesandTrailsOutdoors got some good ones this year hopefully I can get out look at some of my shorts on here and will get the drift , but understand if you don’t
Such a fun time! Love the channel. 4:59 was the best part of this vid. Anyways leaving a sub. Hope to see more!
@@TrailStrider909 Thank you for the sub and visiting our channel. This was our first trip to Banff and I want to return in order to enjoy more trails. We have a few more hikes to drop. I made sure to reciprocate the sub!
@@TinesandTrailsOutdoors 🤗🤗🤗 Can’t wait!!
Looks like a great time with family. With or without getting a deer. As i get older ive started to really hang onto these moments.
Agreed! The memories made with family and friends while hunting are some of the best ones!
Great share my friends
Was a fun trip! I’ll have more content coming from several of our hikes/fishing in Yellowstone and Banff National Park. Thanks for watching!
Had mine for a good while and still think it is in the top two climbers ever made. I recently went with the mesh seat, and I find that a great option. Only two small drawbacks keeping it from being number one. When attaching and locking down the cables you have to be very careful as it can make a loud clank. And the other is the sharp edges on the traveling block on the threaded rod.
I root for the black bear always. Like Caravaggio giving a disturbing view of art up close, Americans are natural born performers.
This song brings back memories 😂😂
Haha! Yes it was definitely a blast from the past.
Here’s Boo’s story. kickinghorseresort.com/purchase/boo-grizzly-bear/
Bison crossing!
They just will not be rushed😂😂😂 So cool!!
You are 100% right! They have zero care about anyone’s schedule. It’s very cool to see.
Add trees and that picture could be from Northern Canada!
You do know those are actually Bison don’t you? Buffaloes are over in the eastern hemisphere fighting with Lions. Makes me wonder about the Buffalo Bills. They ought to be the Buffalo chicken wings.
Yes that’s why I called the video “Bison Jam”. Some are calling them Buffalos but we know they are actually Bison. 😉
@@TinesandTrailsOutdoors yes. Thank you. I noticed that after I posted the comment. I’m just always amazed at the people that don’t know the difference. But Oh give me a home where the bison roam wouldn’t sound as good.
@Prince_Arcturus not a problem. I wasn’t sure if you saw the other comments are were referring to those calling them buffaloes. And yes, there is a difference for sure, but seems to be pretty common mistake.
The Buffs know they're aggravating the rubbernecking tourists. 👍😁
Haha!! We are never in a hurry out there however we see people get upset with slower drivers and wildlife slowing them down.
They should close it ! Leave them alone!
Everyone is entitled to their opinions but overall it’s a great place to visit and promotes conservation of our natural resources. Have a great day!!
I am a new hunter and came across this and made the purchase. Buy once cry once.
I don’t think you will be disappointed with the stand. They have great customer service and some really cool accessories to boot. Would love to hear your opinion once you get it! Good luck this upcoming season and thanks for tuning into the channel!
Buffalo burgers are good
I second that! Usually get my fair share of Bison burgers while out west.
Go Buffalo's !! 👍
The guy on the buffalo videos are the fucking best. Watch them you will cry laughing.
They are pretty damn hilarious, highly recommend watching them.
Why did the Buffaloes cross the road....
To drive the tourists nuts!😂
Haha!! 🤣 Yes they do! But only the ones who don’t understand or appreciate YNP and what it’s there for.
What he's saying ain't important. 😂😂😂😂
😂😂 My wife would agree
Its so peaceful though!❤ love it!
