I have been a subscriber of HSCC for more than a year now and at 52 this band fits to my generation of music, their musicality with all their exceptionnal talents and passion for beautiful music. The Best cover band ever.

I am 65 years old but I am in my 20's and these guys are all I want to listen too,they have it all and I love them, God bless all of them! I never met them in person,I don't have too,I already know they are my friends for ever,I play just like them.
This is my favourite band, I only listen to their versions, I have a playlist of th HSCC band and that is all I ever need. It is sad that Darren is no longer in the band but I also listen to his versions in another you tube channel.
Jeez where should I start, thanks to the three of you in your podcast, I have laughed from my tummy for the first time this year honestly, thanks for the freedom you speak and just being men in their 50s and just seeing and knowing what we know. HSCC…What a great find you are. I came across you by chance earlier this year (2024) on TH-cam. Since then, I switch you on every morning for my daily fix to start the day for it stirs my soul. 🫠 I’m 76, still with much power in my voice + l love singing along with you all. The 70’s was amazing, in fact, we partied through the whole year in 76! Saw many of the great artists live in Brighton UK including Barry White. What an awesome time we had. Im a sixty nine year old from the uk and i have to say i am hooked on the HSCC. What they do is like putting all of the amazing music from my youth, which takes me to a place where i relive all those wonderful memories, and i dont have to change tracks or vinyl or cd's because its all there in one place. Con, you're creativity is awesome. I was 18 in 1983. I played in groups with fellows ten years older than I at age 13. Those fellows were Funksters, Tower Of Power And Steely Dan fans and some. How you mix your bass riffs and tasteful arrangements is awesome. Tasteful in every song you and the talented musicians you play with. We only play as good as the people we play with, right? I am 71 and I found this on you tube looking up McFadden and Whitehead's "Ain't No Stoppin Us Now". I remember running the Boston Marathon in the early 80's and hearing this song from rooftops on boom boxes as we ran on Commonwealth Ave. What an inspiration it was! So, I when I saw HSCC's rendition on youtube, I was blown away!! That led me to check out other songs. I just could not believe how great this band is. 😃

Another listener from HSCC….this was a great interview! The more so for being a full hour, plus that there’s relatively little background or bio info available on the group/members. Sounds like, from what Con said, that might be deliberate! It’s so interesting to hear all this a year later, with their big US tour just a few weeks away; funny how things turn out (or not). Now I’m curious who will be on the tour. (I’m trying to work out flight schedules and best venues to go, none are close but I do fly if flights are decent) Sometimes there’s a lot of band members onstage. Sounded like, back then at least, that was maybe more fluid. But this band is big, rightly so. So much talent-and Con addressed one thing I’ve wondered about: who’s “in charge” and how, when there’s so many creative talented players involved. Also interesting to hear he’s not so interested in writing his own music (another question I had); the HSCC arranging is his creative outlet. It’s obvious just watching them onstage, before hearing this (or anything about them), that Con’s the boss. He just radiates the vibe, exudes MAJOR alpha! OTOH maybe I’m just partial to bass players.
56 minutes well spent. As a touring bass player at 71 years old I can relate to so much of what he's saying. Love the band and look forward to all the new releases.
As a representive of the young generation i realy like what HSCC is doing because i always loved the old musik. I still like some stuff that comes out today but most of it is not good musik in my taste! so i think your on the best way to reach more young people because the internet is simply an "our generation" thing. By posting it on youtube you reach so many young people, and that is what makes it realy amazing to me, because i´d like to hear more of this kind of musik. Greetings from Germany :)

4/29/24 UPDATE: HSCC just hit ONE MILLION Subscribers with absolutely ZERO signs of slowing down. I found them 3 years ago, and I have NEVER heard a cover band so consistently play at such a high level. As someone who dabbles with guitar and mixing/engineering in his own home studio, trust me. What this group puts out on a WEEKLY BASIS is absolutely INCREDIBLE. They might want to stay a cover band, and I'm all for having their content weekly on my you tube feed, but if they ever did want to do more, we're talking talents that would EASILY be some of the most sought after session players and I can't explain in words how impressive it is that Con along with Darren in the beginning amassed such a talented group of people together who weren't already in demand at the highest levels of the industry. I'm honestly and genuinely proud of them because they found their lane, they've stuck to it, and they're getting all the success they deserve for the work they put into it.

Great Podcast ! I was born in the late fifties and I can say that my 50’s and now 60’s are the BEST years of my life, but HSCC brings back a hell of a lot of good memories ! Enjoyed the podcast from start to Finish ! 👍
I just discovered HSCC about 4 months ago and now I can't get enough of them. They are unbelievable. Some cover bands don't have the vocals, maybe the music lacks a little. Stage presence, etc etc. There is not a flaw in what they do at all
54 myself and a drummer been following these guys for few years now. Great interview Con been waiting to run into these guys on the road. We are making the move ourselves to Adelaide. Funny so admire what these guys have done musically. Kind of envious but in a good way. Hi con. Thanks for keeping us sane this last year and congratulations on your talented players and singers. I’ve noticed that you have a huge fan base of musicians, myself included. With the pandemic I went from 2-3 gigs a week to not playing for several months. Im just now getting my chops back. Saying that, one of the things that us musicians like about your videos is when we watched you guys close together. You could see the nonverbal cues, the comraderee of when youre performing together. All this while us musicians were shut down and not being able to perform. We love seeing the nuts and bolts of performing. Keep up the good work and keep on zooming in close enough so we can catch that magic of performing. Good day!

Awesome interview. I'm 54 and like Con I'm a musician. Still love performing and just enjoying it more and more at this age. Now performing with my 24 year daughter which is amazing and surreal. Con's singing reminds me of John Mayer. Some of my favourite bands are all from Australia.

My husband and I are HSCC fans and tune in several times a week a watch and rewatch. We love the songs and the band. We both play and 80s music is where it is at. We are in middle earth here, and going to 4-5 concerts this summer, Hairball a month ago, Joe Bonamaasa in August, Heart & Cheap Trick, and then Mammoth WVH, Creed, and 3 doors down. We've spent about $1500 US dollars on tix. (The good enough seats we get) We'd love to see you all state side!

As a retired semi-pro lead/bass guitarist I know just how great a bass player you are. I also love Kat, she's such a great singer. My favourite video is 'What a fool believes'. I was looking around You Tube a couple of months ago and saw a band and the song Sailing by Cris Cross, with HSCC Jordan Lennon singing the song....I was literally blown away how beautifully they all sounded especially Jordan. I looked around some more, found more songs I loved from my younger days! Read up on HSCC and that was that!! I am loving their music!!! The BEST!! Canada
great interview and the banter was so funny enjoyed it, class! I started listening to HSCC about 2 mths ago they're so addictive they play the songs I like and grew up with ,very refreshing to listen to they're amazing !
This interview made me understand why, as a new HSCC fan, I was immediately drawn to Con. Okay, so the bass player IS usually the coolest one in the room! I agree that things happen for a reason....and to hear him say he'd rather be hated for who he is than loved for who he's not....really resonated with me. If someone doesn't like me, that's THEIR problem! Be yourself, people!
I'm in my early 30s and I'm fully subscribed to the idea of HSCC. As a musician I appreciate their willingness to not shine. They sound balanced and highly polished.
Best comment I read on one of their videos said 'if that bass player was any more in the pocket, he'd be lint' - on point! Brilliant stuff, makes YT worthwhile.

I just discovered these guys a few months ago. They are amazing. Such great musicians and singers. The best cover band Ive ever heard. And Constantine has such an amazing voice and sound. I like his vocals on pina Colada and drive better than the originals. Hes also got a great look and charisma. Hes a fricking star.

Hi con. Thanks for keeping us sane this last year and congratulations on your talented players and singers. I’ve noticed that you have a huge fan base of musicians, myself included. With the pandemic I went from 2-3 gigs a week to not playing for several months. Im just now getting my chops back. Saying that, one of the things that us musicians like about your videos is when we watched you guys close together. You could see the nonverbal cues, the comraderee of when youre performing together. All this while us musicians were shut down and not being able to perform. We love seeing the nuts and bolts of performing. Keep up the good work and keep on zooming in close enough so we can catch that magic of performing. Good day!

Awesome interview. I'm 54 and like Con I'm a musician. Still love performing and just enjoying it more and more at this age. Now performing with my 24 year daughter which is amazing and surreal. Con's singing reminds me of John Mayer. Some of my favourite bands are all from Australia.

As for Con, I knew I liked him for a reason. Very cool guy! I have been wondering how the HSCC songs and the artists were chosen and then your show popped up on my homepage and I got my answer! Will be looking forward to HSCC coming to the USA!
My husband and I are HSCC fans and tune in several times a week a watch and rewatch. We love the songs and the band. We both play and 80s music is where it is at. We are in middle earth here, and going to 4-5 concerts this summer, Hairball a month ago, Joe Bonamaasa in August, Heart & Cheap Trick, and then Mammoth WVH, Creed, and 3 doors down. We've spent about $1500 US dollars on tix. (The good enough seats we get) We'd love to see you all state side!

As a retired semi-pro lead/bass guitarist I know just how great a bass player you are. I also love Kat, she's such a great singer. My favourite video is 'What a fool believes'. I was looking around You Tube a couple of months ago and saw a band and the song Sailing by Cris Cross, with HSCC Jordan Lennon singing the song....I was literally blown away how beautifully they all sounded especially Jordan. I looked around some more, found more songs I loved from my younger days! Read up on HSCC and that was that!! I am loving their music!!! The BEST!! Canada

This interview made me understand why, as a new HSCC fan, I was immediately drawn to Con. Okay, so the bass player IS usually the coolest one in the room! I agree that things happen for a reason....and to hear him say he'd rather be hated for who he is than loved for who he's not....really resonated with me. If someone doesn't like me, that's THEIR problem! Be yourself, people!

I just discovered these guys a few months ago. They are amazing. Such great musicians and singers. The best cover band Ive ever heard. And Constantine has such an amazing voice and sound. I like his vocals on pina Colada and drive better than the originals. Hes also got a great look and charisma. Hes a fricking star.
