Helpful explanations and art vocabulary 🕊
Ryan I just keep being more and more in aw of you. I love Weeping Willow trees and you have a way of bringing everything to life. I was watching you do the sky and then when you started working on the rock formations I was just...WOW! How the heck does he make it look so easy? LOL That sky suddenly had light and what looked like the perfect sunset!
Love this painting! And I love how you explain as you paint!
It has to be one of my favorite hour long lessons, I definitely plan on doing more vertical pieces in the near future!
So beautiful Ryan. You're truly a gift to this earth
Aw, that is so wonderful of you to say. Positive and kind people like yourself really are the treasures!
WOW Ryan, My Aunt painted a scene of trees with hanging Spanish Moss That I have Loved since I can remember. When her Art collection was divided amongst our large family, Rest Her Soul. I had to have "Dunes at the Beach". Now with your help I am sure I can at least capture a small piece of her inspirational spirit Thank You
Aw, it's so nice that you keep that part of her with you. Art is best when it comes with or tells a story and that is certainly a good one. Enjoy this coming piece :)
Fantastic! I love this painting.

Thank you, Betty!
I have watched you off and on for a couple of years now Ryan, and you just keep getting better and better! Your highlighting and shadows has improved greatly! I have a quick question. Your square headed old brush looks like a bristle brush. Is it that, or a synthetic? Thank you
No doubts in your painting 😊😊
:)

:)
Very coooooooool😃
Greatly appreciated!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Love the painting. Very easy to understand and follow. My question is can I do this in oil paints?
Thank you Melissa! The simple answer is yes, however, I would be mindful of the layering process. Different parts will benefit from a wet into wet technique while others will be best achieved while working over dry layers. Hope that helps :)
Stay Creative Painting Thank you very much, it does.
Wow! This is beautiful! I have a question...What can I use to draw the initial sketch on the canvas before painting - pencil, pen, marker etc? ... the drawing seems to get covered up when I lay out the first background paint itself...so I lose the initially laid out sketch for the subjects and details. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Thank you so much! When using canvas board I generally do the sketch with colored pencil to assign varying subjects. I then go back over the foreground with a fine tipped sharpie. I can normally see the sketch through the first couple layers and neither of the products ever seem to blend into the pigment like a graphite/charcoal would. I hope that helps :)
Hi,I have been painting for a few years, just amateur. I have NEVER been able to sketch or draw, l noticed when you started you already had a sketch of the painting done, so l don't think l will be able to do a beautiful painting like yours. I have tried the BOB ROSS style quite successfully, but l don't think l can ever paint if l must sketch the outlines first. Thanks for the beautiful painting. Mimi
😍😍😍❤❤
I saw your comment about using oil. Would you be so kind to make a short informative video as you were saying about using wet on wet or waiting for the layers to dry. Its very confusing without actually see the process. thanks for sharing your talent
Ryan do you ever do portraits
I did a lot of portraiture in university, however, it's been quite some time. With that said It's definitely something I'd like to re-explore at some point!
