A lot of these can only be performed by Marth and not Lucina, weak hits and tipper hitstun allow for some cool setups. If he had that along with fixed kills moves he'd be top tier easily.
I feel like for him to be top tier, he needs: - Sizeable cut on his aerial end lag - Better Combo potential with his Aerials - More stun with grounded moves (change his jab to smash 4 jab) - Stronger UpB that goes further.

I agree with you on your statements, even with attack canceling and IDJ, the frames and stun doesn't permit for consistent combos even though they might work in theory without DI. But I've managed, better than lucina, in the combo department for sure. Building up damage was never an issue for me, killing however, is... so many times where I'm pixel perfectly spaced for a DB4 or smash attack, only to still get the sour spot in the end.
There’s an over 50% combo with staling that I’ve found only works with Marth. You have to hit falling nair and get the two hit timing but it is nair, sh nair, ff, u tilt, up air. You have to kind of chase the opponent to get the up tilt to hit but it’s training mode true.
I'm pretty sure most if not all of these combos could be done before the buff. That aside yeah Marth is so fun. I was always confused as to why people called him trash when he's fun and just needs practice to play. Sweet video
There's this other Marth exclusive true kill confirm at around 95% for most characters where you land with sour uair, do a perfectly timed full hop and double jump (Not IDJ), and then hit the strong up b. You can react to DI as well but if they DI in it will kill off the top and if they DI out then the side. The Marth community has dubbed it, "Rend Heaven.". Also, IDJ did wonders for the Marth based characters. You can now just loop falling aerials into IDJ aerials over and over!
Marth is always a pleasure to see. I wish they never redesigned how marth worked after brawl. I miss melee marth adn big fair and dairs and all the fun things you could do with marth in melee and brawl.

@@atari_hmb No. Aerial DB1 is negative on hit for all characters. You can still use it though because of how quick it is and how little hitlag it has, but you should only go for it as a mixup. If your too predictable, then you’ll get punished for landing it.

Since the tipper hitbox was buffed, you can hit it in this situation, and since it’s stronger, it’ll kill earlier too, around 110-120 on most of the roster
Will you do a separate video on Lucina's combos? Even though Lucina generally uses the same moves as Marth for her combos, her combo game is actually quite different from Marth's because of the way her sword attacks work.

This is true, but I would not go for it at this percent because of how close your opponent still is, and you’ve staled a kill move. At around 30-45% with tipper Uair you can connect tipper Usmash(possibility of killing), and at around 40-60% you can connect sour Uair to tipper Usmash (kills)

Not really, landing tipper up air was hard to get on characters that weren't big bodies, it's funny cause now sour spot up air is kinda hard to get.
