I enjoy watching your videos/tutorials...look at what you built! A well built shop that the new ownership doesn't have to reinvent the wheel. If you did that in 5 mos. Thats something to really be proud of!
Hi Sneha! I agree with you, but that’s because my mission and worldview in life is broader than the strict definitions of value/waste. By classical lean definitions, caring for another associate doesn’t add any direct value to the product or service a customer is buying. (It does indirectly add value over time, but not directly and immediately add value for the customer right now.)
@@LeanSmarts I think that lean is not only about creating value to customers. I see lean as a way to create value for all stakeholders. Create that value but only if the value creation don't mess with the others "freedom"/"value.
@@enquantoconduzo good point misread stakeholder for shareholder... semantics i know ...but could lean be a tool for workers to increase their bargaining power and get better working condition while at the same time increase value to their customers? or would it require more compromise.

Nice to hear that culture is a focus in your lean transformation!
In my opinion, Caring for people can be looked at as a value-added activity. I guess...🤔

@@enquantoconduzo but wouldn't that be dependent of the owner structure of the company
@@cyberRowboat lean is independent of the owner. The owner may do the lean his way but it doesnt mean it is the correct lean.
