Bill's characterization of Jon as not a real political player and Jon's characterization of Bill as a car salesman is what makes this so great

Giving people blessing on one hand while condemning people using birth control on the other in countries with too many starving children and lack of social services already. You can only be so good while following religious doctrine verbatim. It doesn’t allow you to be wholly kind.

@@monotonous1763 I’m not sure if you’ve ever heard the saying, “making money hand over fist”, if not, it basically means to make a lot of money quickly. John invited Bill to an event and Bill says, “Beck and I are with the folks (the every day people of America) that night” as if he’s genuinely there to be with the people. By saying, “you’re making charity hand over fist” John is implying that Bill is not there for charity or to be with the people but there to make money by selling tickets, books, etc. John also does the hand gesture of counting money. Pretty clever in my opinion.

O'Reilly loves to claim that he grew up "working class" because he lived in Levittown, NY and his dad made $35,000.00 a year in the Sixties.
My dad is from North Philadelphia, born in 1949, and then my grandparents moved to Levittown, NJ(now Willingboro) in 1960. My grandparents didn't complete high school and didn't get their high school diplomas until the late 1950s. Pop-pop worked for the Department of the Army and my Mom-mom worked in the corporate headquarters of Acme Markets and their combined income was less than $10K a year in the Sixties.
O'Reilly was a snotty, rich kid who lived in Levittown, NY.

As much as they jab at each other and as different as their political views are, its very nice to see them just joking around whilst debating. Its much more friendly than it is now.

Listen... This is no contest. Liberals will ALWAYS destroy conservatives in debate. Except that one kid who talks so fast, Shapiro, he's got a chance against the likes of Stewart and Colbert and Maher and whatnot.

O'Reilly is ridiculous. From the beginning, I can't stand him.
However, it is nice to see a time when people don't try to rip each other's heads off on live TV just for disagreeing.

And now, we get newsmax😢 people say John Stewart started the whole “bring both sides together to debate” but I guess it just entrenched both sides even deeper in their arguments. That’s the problem with debates, -Ryan Howard, the office.

9:30. Bill O'Reilly feels like he really nailed Stewart and is proud of himself for nailing him on "dope dealers" being at his rally He's excited, like a fucking bully would be, that he gets a chance to reinforce an us vs them mentality and get stewart to avert his gaze, for even a moment.
    I'm glad he's gone.

I love their contentious relationship, they seem like that have fun. Bill actually laughs and goes along with Jon's humor I genuinely feel like Bill and Jon get dinner after these segments and enjoy themselves because they're just people. Your political identity doesn't define you, you can just be a person. People used to talk shit about Bush and now we have Trump, and people talked shit about Bill and now we have Tucker. I fucking miss when the most extreme of our country's politics was this tame. It's become a cartoon at this point.
