It’s crazy . Especially given Jon is still fighting the good fight and being a voice for those who don’t have one . Like when he yelled at congress for voting against the PACT act for veterans . This man is a comedian and has done more for veterans and 9/11 first responders than politicians . Not to mention he’s been consistent since the beginning. He’s one of the biggest patriots I’ve seen and as a veteran I have nothing but the utmost respect for Jon . He is also receiving hate from the left too since he’s critical of Biden just as much as Trump . He actually sees things as it is . George Carlin was right about Jon showing us a lot of

They just did a job that had to be done. They wouldn’t even necessarily recognise it as being a leader. A great leader leads by actions and not false promises or obsession with popularity contests (elections). Of course they can and will make speeches and participate in elections if that’s what it takes to do that job, but that’s not the purpose they set out to do (not like Trump). The leaders we NEED are ones with integrity and passion for their values, which aligns with our values. We need people like John Stewart who goes out of their way to help others in a genuine way, not giving up when it gets difficult, and who aren’t doing it for their own personal gain. John’s got zero skin in this bill, so clearly he’s doing this coz he feels passionate about standing up for the 9/11 first responders and fighting for their justice.

      Operation: Crucified Serpent
They want to talk about how broken Socialism and Venezuela are among other places; yet, our own public servants don't even get an honest benefits application process. Can't really say Capitalism controlled by corporations and lobbyists works any better. Average wait time at the VA is 7-8 years. The process becomes unconstitutional after the first year, being a legal process handled by lawyers and judges. They have no motivation to decide on claims quickly, veterans get zero interest on backpay regardless how long the claim takes to decide favorably.
They need to keep mortality rates up and that is why our leaders have no intention of fixing the system they already know is broken. While it doesn't work for the population, it is working for someone. Whoever those people are, our leaders would rather challenge and wrong us than protect our rights from whatever that group is, which is supposed to be their tax-paid purpose.
They could fix these issues; yet, stubbornly refuse to. I've proven it with my own lawsuit, Mr. Stewart has proven it with this documented Congressional visit.
Jon Stewart if you see this, following in my footsteps will help us solve this problem. If you are that mad about all this and believe it's time something gets done, there is no other realistic alternative so far. Anyone affected by such issues caused by this government, can utilize the option I came up with to mitigate problems with a 60 year history of murdering countless...often times causing victims such economic or social turmoil that they take their own lives.

They want to deter people from accepting outside money from corporate donors or lobbyists and providing them with more money passively is supposed to fix that by being a deterrent.

Jon Stewart is undoubtedly a patriot, as he fights for what he thinks is right, regardless of his personal benefit. Politicians for the most part are not patriots. You're quick to blame Congress, but America keeps voting these filthy reps in, and if you don't then all the people who AREN'T SUPPOSED TO BE HERE you won't pull the trigger on to shut them out, border apocalypse notwithstanding. You're not doing a thing about social justice, the justice double standard, "immigration" being a full emergency and a crisis, racial hodgepodge, illegitimacy, rising Socialism, the crimes of the Democrats, the onslaught of the Left, abortion or gay marriage; WHAT IN THE WORLD DO YOU EXPECT CONGRESS TO DO ANY BETTER...???

I was probably one of the very few "first responders" who did not suffer some form of lung disease. I was there on day 2 thru day 5. I didn't get sick because I seemingly was one of the few who didn't forget their training. My training included an important factor...make sure I didn't become a victim. When I went to ground zero on day 2, I went with a respirator. I saw a few fire fighters who had respirators. Those first responders with out respirators are all sick or dead now. That was the tragedy. The attack was a crime, the response was a tragedy. Even former mayor Giuliani secured the donation of dust masks instead of respirators, insuring the responders demise. If he had ordered respirators instead of dust masks they would all be dieing of old age. I'm 75 and still hanging in there with multiple old age diseases but nothing in my lungs!

For one, the same dumb voters would just vote in new corrupt politicians. cut one head off, ten more grow to replace it. and secondly, term limits would slow down government even more and leave us with corrupt AND inexperienced politicians. and good politicians would be forced out by term limits and then potentially replaced with somone worse.

if you want some kind of electoral reform, you need ranked ballots, tiered voting. which means that we wouldn't have to always settle for the lesser of two evils. Example: if we had 3 canidates (A, B, and C), we would vote with ballots ranking each candidate as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
That way, If I preferred candidate A and B and list them in my ballot as "1st vote for Canidate A, 2nd for Canidate B"..then if Canidates B and C ended up in the top two positions, My vote wouldn't be wasted on Canidate A.

They want to take care of people's healthcare and education. They want to help the poor and stop homelessness. Look at the Democrats' agenda today, those who call themselves "Left" or "liberal". They care more about pushing "social justice" than about doing things to benefit the entire working class. They're charlatans. But that doesn't mean the Republicans are any good either.

This country was never supposed to house career politicians. In the 80's they went from something like 30k a year to 85k in a single raise they gave themselves. All we got for that was even more corruption and problems. The reason for the raise they said, to attract more qualified members of Congress. Then the same politicians who voted for this bill kept running over and over as career politicians. For a mere 2 1/2 times the cost. Don't forget they get a 5% raise every year. Using compound interest we now pay in the neighborhood of about 175k for them to do nothing except to impeach 45. WHAT A BARGAIN!!
