Wow, what a treat! I love those spray colors! I never heard of the Dusty Attic before, I will definitely go check them out! All your mixed media videos are always such an inspiration! I love getting my hands all messy with Gesso! The seed beads and the burlap at the end made such a beautiful perfect finishing touch to this gorgeous scene. Those little birds are perched on top of pieces of wood like that all over the harbor in San Francisco bay, and you really do see fences like that with bits of shells and random seaweed all over the beach in Monterey Bay, California. There is an aquarium there that you must go see one day!

We just recently got a new big Aquarium in Toronto, and it is beautiful too....will have to one day see the one in Monterey Bay! ....Dusty Attic is a well know Laser-cut chipboard company out of Australia (there are links to American companies that carry their product above)....they were one of the first companies to bring out this style of chipboard. xo

That gel medium product seems to do a great job of holding things in place. I really enjoyed the addition of all the dimensional embellishments. The glass beads really made this project for me. Thanks for this delightful video!
Love, love, love! I catch myself as a beginner saying " Love this, wait, why is she adding so much gesso?" Then I wait another minute and say "That looks fabulous!" These videos are great learning tools for us. Would love to have this as a canvas kit. Maybe just the embellishments and we can get our own canvas. This would save on the shipping expense. An absolutely beautiful canvas! Frankly, what you can't do creatively isn't worth knowing.... Your barnacles are soooo cute, as are the star fish. The anchor, oh, pure lushness, a complete work of art on it's own! The amazing thing about watching you is the attention to detail. At around 14.30, I was thinking it was nearing the finish.... Oh No, another 5 mins at least. Non of which are wasted as every touch, addition, highlight goes toward an extraordinary piece as oppose to a great piece. Hope that makes sense. It was a glorious "escape" watching, thank you for sharing & making every step easy to follow/understand. Now, if only talent were passed on through osmosis. Perhaps you could come up with a way? Lol..... C😀

Do u go by some theme or pick up any dusty attic chipboard and think to do project where they can fit very well?? You use lot of chipboard cuts in your projects and they work really well.... but they r bit expensive for my pocket..:) thanx for sharing ur work !! Hugs!

angelam perez Hi Angela, barnacles are sort of crustaceans that usually grow in marina's, on docks, on the bottoms of boats etc. (they are the little round thingy's that are made of clay.....I meant for them to look like barnacles :)
Great video, loved to watch how you put it together, paint choices, technique, supplies, etc. But I had to slow it down to 50% of speed, just way too fast for me.
