It was a close one. Trump was referring to the game itself, not the end result of the game.
It started snowballing against Trump very close to the end and until then, it was anyones game and thus, it was a "close one" regardless of the crushing end result.
I'm not disputing that. from a card advantage stand point trump was ahead the entire game.
I'm just point out the irony of trump's view of things versus what someone who hadn't watched the entire match would think from that board state.

15:00 Shadow Madness the ghoul
-> heal Blademaster
-> run golem into creeper (ghoul gets buffed)
-> run ghoul into creeper
-> attack face with Blademaster.
You are left with 5 health Blademaster and Damaged Golem standing against the wargen. Much better than just golem.
I would have 100% taken Big Game Hunter instead of Cabal Shadow Priest on the last pick. Reason being, you ended up getting no shadow word deaths, and so your only way of killing the opponent's big guys is with your own big guys, and seeing how you have only 3 big guys in the whole deck, you will probably lose as soon as somebody plays a Venture co. Mercenary or a Boulderfist Ogre, and you can always run into Ragnaros, Onyxia, Ironbark Protector, etc.
In addition, you got two shadow madness along with a Shadow word pain, meaning sufficient methods to clearing out little chumps. The only way Cabal's battlecry would be effective is if the opponent played a Turtle or a Berserker which doesn't happen much as those cards are unpopular. The entire run Cabal shadow priest did next to nothing, just stealing a useless healing totem and a tiny argent squire.
In contrast, in the very last game, the Big Game Hunter top deck killing the Venture co. Merc would have saved you and probably led you to victory.

Despite being admittedly situational, given how many of the Priest's cards rely on the opponent having specific Attack stats, I really like Inner Fire for these kinds of situations. It synergizes well with any of the creatures that Priest likes to have (higher defense than attack) and can be used to tweak the opponents' minions to your advantage.

Did I add this up right? Derpy Mage had 9 health, Young Dragonhawk. Trump Had Holy Fire a Turtle and Shadow Madness. Shadow Madness the Young Dragonhawk, Hit twice (7 health), hit with Turtle (5 health), then Holy Fire? Finished the match a turn ahead of schedule?

At @15:20, Trump could have Shadow Madnessed the Ghoul, ran his golem into the fen creeper, run that buffed 4 attack ghoul into the fen creeper, and be left with 2 mana to heal his blademaster whilst keeping a 2/1 golem on the board, but with the worgen left.
May have been a better play, IMO.

You know what cards would be amazing for priest?
A two cost spell which changes one minion's attack to 2.
Would make priest so much more viable for high-ranked play and arena. :)

Attack On Cinema Paladins have a card that changes a minions attack to 1 and gives a 3/3 body on the board.
The proposed card is 1 mana less and is significantly worse. How would it be OP?

Probably because the synergy is greater in a priest deck as one can follow up with a shadow word pain/steal the minion. A paladin can't immediate kill the minion or steal it. Well, that's what I think anyways :|

5:40. Actually if you play northshire cleric turn one you are betting it is more likely your opponent has a 2/1, 2/3, 2/2, 1/3, 1/4, 0/4, 1/1 ,1/2, 1/3, (or no1 or 2 drops in hand at all) than specifically a 3/2. Even if they play a 3/2 sometimes you can kill it before it gets your cleric with cards like wolf rider, the charging murlock, holy smite, or power word shield on the cleric. Also you can hide the cleric behind a taunt. Holding the cleric for later is usually a mistake.
How to never go to movies by yourself:
1. Become a famous streamer.
2. Tell you're stream you're going to a movie.
3. ???

10:15 is it better to play it like he did or was it better 2 go banana cleric first, than heal cleric, than banana wild pyromancer, wich gets trump +1 card and leaves him with 4 1 minion (i guess mukla 5 2 or 5 1 makes no real difference here)

Another reason not to play northshire turn 1 vs shaman is that shaman has 2 1 cost deal 3 damage spells, and a northshire usually should do better than 1 for 1

I wonder if at 8:54 if shadow word taunt + bluegill and 2 banana's and northshire into mukla would have been better.

Could have taken the bloodhoof one turn earlier, traded it with the elemental. You would have had a Cabal Shadow Priest and Argent Squire against his Stormpike Commando and the Bomber and Sunwalker the next turn, plus it would have saved you 9 damage.
In the next fight you had lethal by taking the 6/4 tiger and hitting his face with that and the golem. You won anyway, it just could have been a turn earlier.

Oh! A Priest! My class that I hate to love.
It's awkward to watch Trump pick cards the way he normally would, for Priest... I mean he's great at everything else, and of course he'll play Priest well too because *he's* good, but the card mindset... just doesn't fit with Priest. When he drafts he tries to make the deck fit his playstyle instead of the other way around, he drops necessary cards and blames it on the draw. Some of you said Priest needs a buff because people aren't playing them in ladder, but no, they just need a different mindset to play them.
Value is a good mindset, but it doesn't work properly for Priest. They have a different set of values. Just my two cents.
***** If you knew me you'd know how risky it is to ask me to elaborate something... But it's useful to those who want to listen. Basically sorry for the wall of text, but I don't have a giant list somewhere like Trump :)
Priest is a class that relies on overwhelming the enemy with strange choices, forcing trades the opponent doesn't understand, and using that to survive until extreme late game. Priest should have more late game cards than any other class, and unlike most classes you shouldn't take all the good Priest board clear.
Instead you should build your board clear around surviving early game, and what sort of late game cards you want to have out, as opposed to countering the meta large minions or even general ones. That's why your early game cards need to be sub-par, durable cards, as opposed to useful battlecries or synergy between cards, you need the opponent to take a while to respond to your early cards as opposed to you gaining an advantage with them.
You don't need to rely on board clear late game (SW: Death + 1 MC is enough) because the amount of late game cards you need out to maximize use of your hero power and the kind of cards you can customize large minions with, means your opponent can't afford to have enough board clear *or* large minions in his deck to counter you, and if he does, Mind Control.
Your hero power and some pretty good (but otherwise not that good) minions can stall the game better than average cards, enough for you to bring out your big guns (Lightwell early can stall the game a couple of turns, Northshire Cleric forces a response instead of a play, Shieldbearer can stall with hero power or force removal with Inner Fire, then decent ones like Harvest Golem and Yeti). Turtle and Mogu'Shan can provide enough of a threat with Inner Fire for the opponent to clear them thinking those will be your big cards, instead of building their board. You aren't building a board, you're building an advantage, devaluing his late game board instead of maximizing value from your early cards.
This is what I mean by value, you aren't looking for card value, you're looking for deception and efficiency. Northshire Cleric turn 1 doesn't do anything, but it serves the purpose in making your opponent deal with it thinking it's important. Things like Thoughtsteal and Shadow Madness might seem good, but you need those spots for cards that draw more attention instead of useful (or randomly sometimes useful) ones. Divine Spirit and PW: Shield synergize with Inner Fire, but you aren't relying on Inner Fire to win the game, it's only a distraction.
Ysera should be very useful since you will reach fatigue more often than most classes, and double Faceless Manipulator might be necessary to deal with the opponent's earlier big minions (by forcing a response instead of removing theirs, or both removing and forcing a response). Cairne and Sylvanas are great in a deck like this, so is Twilight Drake, especially if you manage to use the NC and have things like Novice Engineer. All Giants are good in this deck, Molten can even turn a bad game around.
Basically:
1/4 early cards is removal for early game
1/4 is removal for late game
2/4 is durable minions
Mid game cards are all durable minions and Faceless
Late game cards are all strong minions, and you don't need to defend them or put them all out quickly, just survive
Rush Hunter isn't a problem because (besides the fact no one builds a proper rush Hunter these days) you're a healer, and should have cards like Smite (or early charge cards), Zoo Walrock isn't a problem because your early minions have a lot of health (and Holy Nova), but Druids with all ancients could be a problem, so could Handlock potentially. Most other decks are either useless control or aggro you can counter. Full enrage synergy Warrior would be a problem, but I haven't noticed anyone playing that.
Priest is a class that was made for the Neutral deck, because what's the use of a healer on his own?

You can't target Faerie Dragon with spells, even if it's a buff.

Jens has changed the numbering system. When they first started splitting longer runs into two episodes they had two numbers, but now they are numbered (for example) "trump cards 96 part 1" and "... part 2". If you look on the channel you will see that the recent episodes have been re-named, but it does mean that the thumbnails look a bit odd for those few.

Because it's not the 109th episode. These are numbered chronologically, and this run happened a long while ago.
Is mind control not good in arena. I saw trump skipped one and I recently played a run where it was dead for the entire arena. It was a fairly long one too so I don't think it was just bad luck or timing
Taking mind control in a draft usually depends on what else that card is up against.
Mind control is a tricky card to use well, you have to judge whether your opponent will likely have more than 3 minions out on the field in the future.
Usually vs shamans and paladins it's more value to save it for the battlecry however if your curve is bad or you get a tough hand playing it as a 3/3 is perfectly fine too.
Sometimes it can win you games nearly single handed where you would otherwise have lost.
Mad Hatters in jeans I was talking about the mind control priest spell. I know the Mc tech can be a solid pick up even if the battle cry isn't used. The spell sat dead in my hand for 10-11 games though and I feel like i would have done so much better if I had picked up any other solid card

Mind control probably gets more value in arena due to how most of the games go (via minion trading). If you have a reasonable curve with it, it can be good but yeah sometimes Mind control is dead.
If you have a bad curve while drafting (ie top heavy) then I would probably avoid the mind control card.

@ 9:44 isn't the best play play pyro, buff cleric to 2 - 1, then pyro is 3 - 1, trade cleric to bodyguard, so bodyguard is 5-1, then buff pyro to 4-1, u wasted the shadow pain and 2 mana,
@15:22 shadow madness ghoul, trade golem with taunt, ghoul becomes 4-3 and takes out taunt. then heal BM, then u'll have 4-5, 2-1 vs 2-1
that being sad trump is still a much better player than me.
priest need more shadow dmg cards that do 1 dmg. I always have the problem of leaving enemy cards on 1 hp

I wanna make a miracle rogue but I'm lacking Edwin and Leeroy and I was thinking if swapping perhaps 2 arcane golems and maybe add one or two mana addicts would be half decent as well... I know these videos are old compared to stream but, did Trump get a girlfriend? I noticed he uses word like "cute" and "adorable" now but he didn't before.
What? That does not make any sense...
How? In the last few videos he started using the words "cute" and "adorable" when he didn't before, which shows a change in lifestyle, usually a feminine influence. I know I misplaced a comma but I'm having trouble seeing where you're confused.
Well I've watched (youtube only) for a long time and I've never heard him use those words before.
Please can you sort out the numberings for these episodes? The thumbnails and the titles need to be consistent. I mean yesterday we had the thumbnail saying 108 when really it was part 2 of 107 which was actually 99. And now we have the thumbnail saying 100 and it is actually 100.

Yeah but this is part of the Trump Cards series not the f2p? Should be consistent with the series it is in really. I dunno I have seen Jens experimenting with the way he is numbering the episodes and the way he describes the part 2 of arena runs and he is doing this because of the awkward way he is organising it.
Karl Martin The thumbnails and the titles need to be consistent" They always were and still are. There wasn't a single episode that didn't stick to our labeling system or a thumbnail not matching the title.
If you read the comments under episode 108 - (now 99) you will see that we decided to change our naming system. Not every new video is now considered a new episode - only new arena runs are. Thats why we had to change most of the recent Trump Cards episode titles and thumbnails today - thumbnails don't update immediately though, thats just how TH-cam works give it some time.
With the labeling system episode 100 is the most recent (this video). It has nothing to do with the video being older because its part of the F2P run.

Winning 50 gold plus a pack for 150 gold is actually not good value since getting 3 wins in ranked gives you 10 gold, whereas the win bonus is not present in arena.
But if you get 9-12 wins in arena, chances are that you'd easily net 3/4 times the amount of gold than you normally would just spending it on packs. For example, last night Trump went 12-2, got 400 gold AND two packs, only for an initial investment of 150 G.

Renwoxing13 My point was he not only had a 12-win arena run, he got a Ysera out of it. Obviously he isn't using said Ysera because that would make the "f2p" run less genuine. So I'm wondering why he did a second arena, since most f2p players wouldn't get the large gold/pack benefit of a 12-win arena run anyway.
