I have the 2019 Ninja (without the cruise control) and it's a blast. I've traveled to Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria, done 4500 km's in two weeks in reasonable comfort. Later I shipped this bike to Spain and rode it around Sierra Nevada mountains, took it to Gibraltar, then on a ferry to Morocco and back and it was the best motorcycling experience ever. If you're considering buying this bike please note: - it really likes smooth roads. If you live in a bumpy area you will feel fatigued at some point and regret not opting for a bike with more suspension travel - adjustable suspension can do wonders if you spend the time to work with it and set it up properly. Default settings were no good for me - the stock seat can be uncomfortable for longer rides; I've replaced mine with a gel Sargent seat and it's a significant improvement - there are virtually no roads where you can legally use the power it offers, and it's only fun to ride above 100 km/h. Basically, the faster you go, the better it handles, so keep that in mind - you will make gas stops every 250 kilometers or less, and the fuel prices don't seem to be going down lately :D That said, I love this bike and just looking at it parked after a long ride makes me smile :)
Interesting what you say about this bike not being ideal for bumpy roads , due to limited travel . I have a Transalp 750 adventure bike with 200mm travel in rear and a bit less in front , but the sports and naked bikes carve through the mountain twisties way quicker than me . Might be the 21 inch front wheel on my TA, but it amazes me how some of these guys on sports bikes ride rough roads at speed .
i absolutely love mine. There is nothing better than the connection you feel from a proper sport touring Moto imho. I have a tall rounder (Africa Twin with the smaller front wheel) but i still feel like a human sail when i ride it. Prefer the old school fully faired sport tourer like this. Thansk again for all your work!
Recently test rode the gsxs1000gt Can definitely say it is smooth and extremely fast. Quick shifters and cruise are also great features. Can’t wait to try the kawi 1100sx when I can.
Looks are subjective of course but I disagree about Suzuki having the edge here. The Kawasaki looks great whereas the beady eyes of the Suzuki just don't work in my opinion. @@R-Tap
I have this bike and I love it, it's fun in the twisties and very comfortable. The windshield is adjustable btw, there is a lever under the tft screen and it has 4 positions. I recomend the touring shield though (I'm 1,78 cm high)
No doubt, I owned a 2017 T100 and a 22 T120 and absolutely loved them, only issue is I'm over 6' and there not big bikes, probably perfect for a guy 5'9 or 10.@@Jacob99174
I'm in the market for a 'new to me 'bike. Currently on a '15 FJR1300a but looking for a lighter ST and the N1K is on the top of my list. Previously owned an '11 N1K but want a '20-24 N1K, the new '25 N1100K or perhaps the new Triumph Tiger Sport 800. Can't wait for some real ride reviews on the two latter bikes but I could easily see myself on another N1K.
I'd rather manage a dangerous situation to put myself in a safer situation. As you said, sometimes you need to accelerate to a safer place. I prefer to attack the traffic like Tyson - dodging, weaving, always putting my "head" in a safer place. I see these dudes fluffing along and they are just always in danger.
The bike is pretty and I do like that you agree with me on electric bikes, I really feel like they are a perversion. It's like it's not enough that we pollute the air now let's pollute the soil as well.
Plenty of reviews of this bikes long distance prowess if you look around. It is a sport tourer. It has touring as a part of it's stated mission. Probably some Goldwing/Bagger guys would never consider one of these a distance machine, but I road tripped a ton on my old Ninja 300 and this would have been a true luxury vehicle in comparison.
I had one for 3 years. Very comfortable for all day riding. The most distance i did in a day was around 650kms. Loads of power. Great quick shifter, very smooth ride. Its a big, rather heavy beast. Excellent for touring and day rides.
If I were not 1600 miles away from San Diego I would let you use my ‘23 Ninja 1000SX for your review. Really enjoy the bike however I’m still not confident enough to push it to its limits as you may be.😊
@HeyAddieImTojo all good if the bike won't be sold but being kept for rental services, demonstration a.s.o. 6k rpm were still ok indeed but his sheer throttle dynamic on such a cold bike is something I'd never did with my own. I don't even blame him for doing that. Thinking of how I always did literally the same with every rental car, in example. But that is also the reason I would never buy such a vehicle. My preference!
For what its worth. I have ridden both and while the kawa looks the best i found it quite slugish even for a 4 cylinder on the throttle. The suzuki while ugly on the front rides better in all aspects.
@@MiguelRPDif only they rented them out in my area unfortunately they don't. If i compare them to my cb1000r from 2018. Both are way more comfortable, the 2024 1000sx feels slower in every aspect as the honda and was quite boring to drive because of it. The suzuki however felt faster then the honda in every way. Its engine is just way more fun.
Hello sir I m from India 🇮🇳 In 2025 z900 2025 vs ninja 1100 sx 2025 which is the best bike for daily use for 50 km drive daily and as well as week end trips Please suggest me which is the best one
Are you asking this as someone who rides? Or as a non-rider who is curious? Or as a rider, but a non-sportbike rider, who is curious? And by 'these bikes' are you referring specifically to the sporty bikes he tends to ride as opposed to, say, contrasting a dirt bike vs a cruiser? In general, one of the things that struck me when I started riding a few different motorcycles was how very much individual character each one displays. Even between, say, two different 600cc i-4 race replicas. Sportbikes *look* a lot more similar than they *feel* imho. Especially when you contrast something like this 1000cc sport tourer vs a 1000cc Superbike such as a ZX10R. Massively different feel, ergos, powercurve, handling, parking lot manners, etc, and that's all within the same 1000cc i-4 motor configuration.
@@nyccollin Don't get me wrong, I love my Honda's, and I have quite a few in my stable of bikes, but for the cruisers, Harley Davidson does it the best

One the best bike for money
What would be in your experience more confident and more comfortable bike for long trips and city trips, the Suzuki 1000 GT or this Kawasaki 1000 SX?
Of course many of us are curious how you would compare this to the Suzuki GSXS1000GT.
You posted my thoughts.
It's tough, they are pretty close, the Suzuki has a price advantage and a slight looks advantage. 🤔

I’m at the opposite side. Got the Suzuki GT and I’m looking for a bigger touring bike just like your FJR. Plan to keep them both, though.
