+Fatblue246 I've heard people call it blue... In all seriousness though, they're both often 2 mana 4/5 creatures. Start off small and get larger when the game moves to the later stages. There are a lot of similarities. You could argue Advocate is better though, as she also pumps up all your creature lands.
+Jon I guess he thought he was gonna snag the threats out of his opponent's hand and the wipe would be redundant? I'm no pro, but I disagree with taking out Languish.
At this point in the competition each player knew the other's decklists. Shota was likely considering that Megucci would have definitely brought in counterspells (negate, but mainly invasive surgery) and probably didnt want to risk wasting 4 mana to do nothing, as it gets countered by mengucci's one-mana counterspell then follows up with a collected company to flood the board afterwards.
I wish they'd take Randy Buehler off the coverage team. He just doesn't understand the game well enough anymore. So much of what he says is just wrong. He doesn't even recognize a lot of the cards. :-(
anyone here in 2024 to see mengu?
Another VEEDEO to watch Mengu
I'm here to watch both of them lol shota yasooka also makes videos on TH-cam
Here to see Shouta
he's so baby
13:12 if you're wondering why the thumbnail is Melissa Detora
Esper dragons was so dope.
there is a minute clip interview with melissa detora in the video idk why it shows up as the thimbnail
thumbnail is melissa
Ohhhh... I thought Melissa DeTora was playing in the Top 8...
thumbnail misleading
That Tireless Tracker is doing some work!
23:52 shota yasooka taps his blue black land and his basic instead of tapping both basics is there a reason what if he had drawn a grasp of darkness
Sylvan Advocate: The green Tarmogoyf
+Drecon84 wha...what? You do know goyf is green right??? And the cards are like completely different in how they work.

+Drecon84 - Take this from a Jund player, Goyf is a 4/5 T3 more often than not.
Did Andrea Mengucci only tap an island and a plains at the 7:33 mark to cast reflector Mage? Seems odd. What am I not seeing?
+IanTheReader Oh that makes alot of since. Thanks.
Melissa Detora thumbnail?
did Shota ever take the 3 points of damage from Painful Truths at 18 min?
at 20:00 it is corrected i think. At least Shota loses 3 life without any game action, right before the 4 power tireless tracker attacks.
still can't believe he top decked that scorn
Why chandra deal five damage 1/4 of the hp amd jace dont mill 15 card 1/4 of the deck?
what exactly is Bant Company?
White Green with a splash of blue , that uses the card Collected Company. The blue is used to play control cards
Julian Naiken and Jace, and reflector mage, and bounding Crassis....so like a third the creature base as well 😂👌🏻
I wonder why he decided to take out the 2 languish? It seemed so good against this match up when he had it

that was awesome bye jace hi jace
shouta's guru basics ♥♥♥♥$$$$$
Coming from 2030 and Shoota Mengu rematch in the finals of Pioneer Horizons 2 Pro Tour!
Damn, the way Mengucci shuffles and touches the edges of the cards in his hand really stresses me out.
They always pronouce Dragonlord Ojutai wrong. Its O-joo-ti. Not O-ja-ti.
+Cleversided - I'm quite sure it's actually you pronouncing it incorrectly in this case.
oooooh I think he boarded out the languishes because he expected invasive surgery to come in.
I wish they'd take Randy Buehler off the coverage team. He just doesn't understand the game well enough anymore. So much of what he says is just wrong. He doesn't even recognize a lot of the cards. :-(
He's one of the best ever and while this match may not be his best commentary he usually offers some good insight
Who really needs to be off the coverage team is rich Hagon. That guy is awful
+Daniel Rowe i agree with this. they need to trim the fat. hehehe
Now there isn’t even a coverage team
such klickbait
lots of counter magic, why does no one put atleast 1 Geae's Revenge on their deck?
Wow, dat clickbait thumbnail

If only wizards cared about the players
game two why didn't yasooka lose life for painful?
+Jacob Marley good question, i was also wondering? probably forgot to write it down or somethgin, its pretty big considering he cast it for 3 i think
They caught up with it later on it looks like... just took them like... 5 minutes or so...

Ughhh I hate menguchi

+Leonardo Cruz How else can I tap my mono-black deck.
