I wonder how close AEW and WWE spend on total wrestlers contracts cuz even tho WWE has more wrestlers and such AEW pays their wrestlers considerably more than WWE on a per person basis.
Wwe have an actual strategic recruitment policy, aew just rushed their way into having competitive size. Wwe organically moved towards bulky rosters, aew just jumped there because they thought they had to. If aew had a roster of 40 men and 20 women at this early stage of their existence they would have a much better chance at being competitive. They don't 'get it' though, they think it's all about rivalry.
Once Tony has spunked enough money into all the candy that's available they're gonna implode. It's only a plaything, when the bottomless pit of money is cut off they'll no longer exist.
To answer your question, wwe has lots of things going on meaning they can afford talent, the bookkeeping is very smart. AEW is like Chelsea football club, just buying whoever's available and telling them to name their price.

@@23lacross Na me neither haha, it's fun "analysing the business", but at the end of the day it's just good that there's lots of opportunity out there. Vince himself told Big Show, Jericho, Mark Henry to jump at the opportunity to sign for aew, he did that for many guys back in the day too, he told them to take the money if it was there because it's a short career in the long run. Lots of performers don't go on to do anything after wrestling you know? Or whatever they do is far less lucrative. Take that money if someone's offering haha
Aew pays their wrestlers like contractors and let them wrestle other places
I wish them luck because seeing the track record...They will probably need it.

@@eLite-Tiss91 Good point but I feel that Ricochet will just slide in with the rest just fine because He does what everyone else does while I feel that Dijak will get the Warlow/Hobbs treatment of not being booked well at all.
Ricochet will shine, for sure. I'd say give us the inevitable Ospreay vs Ricochet rematch, as they have both matured heavily since their last meeting. Then, after that, a major showing of mutual respect and a proposal to make them a tag team. I think this would do Ricochet wonders to win the tag belts with Ospreay and put on major showings with some of the top-tier teams in AEW. I don't think Ricochet has what it takes to win the world title, but I see him winning the TNT, tag team, and trios belts are multiple points. Fingers crossed that he gets used well in AEW.

Dijack is good but I really don't understand the big deal over him Ricochet yeah i can understand
probably its just me, but once i had seen a few Ricochet matches, i dont want to see him anymore. he puts on a great show, but he does not make me care about him as a character. so i think the best for him might be not staying in one company, but going around to AEW, Japan, etc., stay there for a year and after the dream matches are over, move on to the next company and in time, maybe even return to WWE for a run

I feel bad for these two. Both are insanely talented stars who went off in NXT only to be left completely ignored and irrelevant, and now they’re going to a company with an infamously overbloated roster
Ricochet has more of a shot in AEW than Dijak. Dijak should work between TNA and NJPW.
These gamechangers will definitely be the gamechangers that change the game this time

Legit question, at what point does singing ANOTHER wwe wrestler become a bad idea? They would be buried in the roster. 🤷♂️
WWE signs former AEW wrestlers. NXT has quite a bit of talent from AEW.
Nxt contracts are developmental though, they aren't bulky, it's more like an opportunity to impress. Some will earn a main roster contract, some won't. If it doesn't work out, they haven't invested too much for a major loss on the talent.
Aew gives wrestlers top dollar to join them if they were in wwe. They're like TNA with more money and less sense
WWE is the biggest wrestling company in the world. If you want TV-ready people - in front of or behind the camera - it's probably one of the safest talent pools.
That works for AEW people going to WWE too - they will have vital transferable experience.
Really sad we never saw a continuation of Dijak & Ciampa's feud from the indies. Those two beat the piss out of each other on a few occasions.
I think an Eddie Kingston/Dijak TagTeam run could be great or Dijak being the Bucks enforcer could be really good too.

If AEW wants to compete with WWE, taking their talent is a smart move. And vice versa, WWE would be smart to take their top talent away when possible

The Ricochet stuff is so silly. You know the deal was done before he left WWE. Agent had a hypothetical "if he becomes a free agent what kind of deal are we looking at" deal done before he decides to leave. Good for Trevor. Hope it goes well for him. And I hope Dijak does really well too. He could be a monster in AEW if they want to book him well. If the Bucks dont ove him though, he'll get buried there.
MxM deserve way better than being tucked away on ROH, they're top guy level talent if someone would just use them that way, they should be on AEW TV straight away.

Idk about Dijak going to AEW. Yes he has a handful of banger matches, but I think you'd only be guaranteed to see the light of day in AEW if you're already an established name, otherwise it's blind luck
Keith Lee can't even get a look-in, and his potential is greater than his old sparring partners. Dijak needed Lee more than Lee needed him, if you get me?
Since Lee can't get on shows, I don't have much hope for Dijak

Tony will hire anybody. I have no doubt that he's interested. The AEW/RoH roster is already extremely bloated. Will we be seeing reports that Dijak is frustrated with creative in six months? Most definitely.

Ricochet and Dijak shouldn't join AEW that's where careers go to die case in point mercedes mone her debut was great and her segments have gone downhill ever since and the creative is atrocious I'm worried about how they'll be booked since tony khan isn't a good booker i mean he never was going back to the early years of AEW he doesn't book for the fans because if he did AEW wouldn't lose hundreds of viewers every week he only books for himself he's basically vince mcmahon in that sense.
