Great Video. Definitely agree with the center nail dot should be square to the ceiling and base board ( assuming you have a level house and the base board and ceiling is of equal distance on both sides of the wall ). This will ensure that you aren't putting the frames at an angle. Personally I'd use painters tape to mark on, as eraser on wall paint tends to leave a visible rub mark on the paint. Sometimes it is also difficult to get pencil out as well :p Additional tips: For black frames, get some back bumpers, as they tend to leave black marks on your wall. For an uneven ceiling/floor.... especially for a house that has been renovated... its going to take some creative measuring to get it to look even to the human eye. You can also use furniture, plants and other things to hide the obvious.
This is my FIRST comment on ANY TH-cam video ever. You did great! Great comedy at the beginning, and delivered exactly what you said it would in a timely fashion, and exactly what I (as a new homeowner) needed and appreciated. If you want to improve your video/content quality my comments include: 1. Look into public speaking tactics, you have a great personality and presence already but be cautious of your use of filler words and sounds (lots of ums/aaaaaands/etc.). 2. video quality is iffy. If you can, have your partner film close-ups and get more than one angle. 3. video quality again, you and the exact measurements are quite blurry. You're personality is very likable so don't be afraid to sell yourself. The video was very useful, liking and subscribing, good luck to you!
But what if the hanging point for each picture is not to the exact height of the frames? It's not likely that they will ever be 100% the same. This is especially true where a hanging cable is attached to the back of heavy frames. Where they are attached to the sides of the frame can certainly vary. Even 1/8th of an inch would be fairly obvious. 1/2 inch or more will be completely obvious.
Put a dot of toothpaste at the point on the picture's hanger that should meet the nail/hook. Push framed piece against wall, leaving a dot of the paste!
I like your video... it's very well done, thank you. I do prefer the Rody Precision Corner instead of the measuring tape when hanging pictures, specifically because of it's leveling feature which includes two levels, horizontal and vertical, which are situated on the tool itself, but tape measure also, obviously, has its uses. Hope you make more videos, thanks.
If your ceiling isnt level or your floor which it probably isnt then your pictures will be out. Get a spirit level off your centre picture screw for the other holes
If both ceiling and floor are out of level and your pictures are hung level it will look funky. I’d follow my ceiling and keep them parallel to avoid the gap looking noticeable
I’m a profession art handler with 35 years experience in installing art and I find it entertaining watching videos like this. I cringed a little through the steps and I certainly wouldn’t endorse you hanging framed artworks on one point of contact , but you got there eventually so , good job. As the pilots say, “any landing is a good landing “ . 😂
1). Add one nail/screw/hook into wall at correct height position on the most far left section of where you want to hang your frames. 2). Measure width of frame and add 1 inch 3). Mark distance on a straight piece of wood 4). Attach small level on top of piece of wood 5). Now use piece of wood as a template to accurately measure remaining positions for nail/screw/hooks Video should be 30 seconds long.
He had me at "it happened...one time"😂😂
“One time” 😂 love it
You're so kind to think of us that would of probably have a million holes on the wall. Appreciate it.
Thank you, very much. I was not finding what I wanted. I needed easy. You are awesome.
Why doesn’t this have 20 million views
Because he opens the video talking about legumes...lol
@@seansulli4 Hopefully they were magical legumes ... lol
If the pictures are 10" on center, and you want a one inch separation, couldn't use just measure out 21" for the next nail spot on either side?
This video came up clutch! Thanks!

Great discussion thank you
This is fine but sometimes your crown molding is off or the hanging tabs on back are not all the same
Well this helped me so damn much. Thank you! I was going crazy.
Worked great appreciate the video
Thank you for this video. Helped me put up my three frames perfectly 🥰
Excellent man- Thank you!!!! 👍🏾
How do I level heavy pictures on wires when the screw is in a wall stud but I want the picture over one inch to the side? Whats the trick for that?
This tutorial helped me a lot!!!! Thank you! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Great tips bro. Much appreciated
guys, I think he might be in Seattle
You think? Lol and very proud to be from Seattle 😂🤣
I think he's just a fan of Seattle
I think he’s from Seattle and is homesick.

“It happened…. One time” sir you just got yourself a like

@Betterthinktwice good thinking with the paste..I kept using tape to mark bc I didn't wanna ink up the wall but paste sounds like a much easier idea
Thanks for the help! Appreciate it.
Best video, thank you!
No way😂😂😂 my wall is soooo long...i need to have pictures above my couch. Laser level 💯 👌

I’ll have to check the rosy precision corner out
What of it is a wire hang?
what if its a wire in the back of the frame??!!
Depends on the type of wall. Use nails or stud to secure in.
Awesome! Thanks.
Great helpful video
Do you have all three of these What do you do if all three hooks on the back of the pictures are not at an even distance from the top of the frame?
You’d have to measure the distance from the hook to the top of the frame for each picture and adjust accordingly. That gets a little more complicated
@@joepatton123 Thanks

He is entertaining smart ❤😂 I give him 100% 👏
Thank you. Very helpful.
Helpful, thanks!
The gulp after he said he choose was real he was petrified he picked one inch loln😂
Thanks for doing measures! People don't show that they do that!
Thanks dude!
This is a cool guy!
Need to find the studs as well
I have never found the studs for hanging pictures.

Hmmmmmm.
Subtly hilarious lol

This was a useful video and your nose is really exceptionally good. VERY good nose.
But what to do, how to do evenly if the pictures are so n completely different frames? Ok ok. On to keep researching on you tube
He is super funny 😂
I miss living in Seattle.
But the content is helpful. In rentals people need to use command strips .
I just eye ball it
Im having a hard time believing that the first thing they commented about is the framing lol. Sorry just seems kind of odd to say
Can’t just tack a nail into dry wall 😂
👍👍👍
I was hoping this would be more helpful of video but it’s essentially just eyeballing it with some measurements
SoRrY KeViN o.O
👍
Thank you!!
I’m thinking this guy says 10 inches a lot
Nice guy but very boring video, i just want tips to make to level/even. Could not watch whole video sorry.
It is just very technical. I have a hard time measuring and leveling.
10=10+1=21
terrible video
You’re ok because it’s a rental? As a landlord I resent that attitude
Stop rambling and get to the point..
Thank You!
