Painter's tape and the ruler are my all time favorites 😍 the Painter's tape was a lifesaver for a very heavy mirror in a stairwell.... it was so much drama before the tape trick! You rock!

Tried Toothpaste & Masking Tape ... Masking Tape hands down. Tip: mark the center of your pictures on the masking tape when marking the pin holes.

Great tips. The toothpaste and painters tape are excellent ideas. I'm hanging 2 heavy mirrors with the hooks and I really want to make sure it's the perfect width apart before drilling

Thanks! These are great tips, especially the ruler/nail one. I wound up here because I was looking for a removable adhesive putty to hang a small LED strip light for under my cabinet, since screwing in the tiny holder brackets under there is a big pain. Any ideas?
