I did enjoy your review. However, it is a little annoying that 99% of the YT reviewers of this vehicle are obligated to make snarky comments about it never being driven off-road (eg: "Beverly Hills owners"). Yet, the same "reviewers" never test them off-road, and instead, spend most of the review on the infotainment system. Basically, the same as testing a Toyota Camry.
I agree with you in that sense, myself included in those reviewers. I think the reason for that is the price factor in all honesty. I’d never be comfortable taking a $160,000 SUV which I don’t own on a course that can potentially damage the car a considerable amount. That mixed with the fact the demographic isn’t really off road people anymore.
In South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, we actually take these things off-road, but we prefer the Diesels. They are almost as fast and 243kW/700Nm is good for 0-100 in 6.4s, yet you can get 1000+ km on a tankful. These aren't just Constantia Cruisers. They work for their keep. In my country, we also can pronounce Geländewagen and Mercedes-Benz. "G Wagon" is for Anglophones; they cannot speak big words.
I believe the United States and Canada doesn’t receive the bluetec version of the G-Wagon. Interesting to see how vastly different their uses are in different parts of the world
Hello there, both the roof rack and spare tire cover are from LeTech. I am doubtful that a dealer would get those specific parts outfitted onto a G550 off the lot, as they’re aftermarket, but they will run you approx. $10,000. However, the dealer might be willing to help you install the parts after purchase, but that entirely depends on their management system.
They have so much money they pay other people to help them get into the car (it’s a joke, the car actually isn’t that hard to get into with the side steps, plus the dash has the grab handle)

Hi, what brand is the spare tire and roof rack? Is it something I could get at the dealership?
