- Inflatable Kayaking Lock to Lock on the River Ouse in Story Drop Stitch Kayaks -
I've been wanting to paddle Linton Lock to Naburn Lock for some time. The conditions seemed perfect... Perhaps a little too perfect!

Loved the line "some of my facts are based entirely on fiction". Will definitely be using that one - very relevant in this post truth era!
Well, you've gotta chuckle haven't you 😁
Good one Karl. A very enjoyable video.
Cheers Paul 👍😁
Whenever my motivation dips for getting on the water, as soon as I watch your videos I instantly want to get back out there. Thanks mate. Great video. 👍🏻
I'm glad you liked it buddy. I've got some fun projects in mind coming soon-ish! 😁👍
That's a decent paddle. Nice day for it and relaxing to watch as always.
Cheers Kev. I watched your wet hike and camp the other day but the app was playing up and I couldn't comment. Ruddy app hahaha
@@MoreThanJustaCleaner I might not paddle on water but I enjoy walking around it!
@@TheWalkingKev It was a good walk, and good to see the 'Bobcat' out :D
Brilliant video keep up the good work
Cheers, thanks 👍😁
That’s a cracking vlog Karl, I paid particular attention to the editing after our conversation at the weekend, seamless 👍
Well almost :) Nevertheless at least you now know what I mean and what I aim to achieve!
Absolutely loved watching this mate . Will have to arrange to do this over summer . Thanks for sharing with us this wonderful water adventure.
You're very welcome 👍 I'm glad you enjoyed it 😁
Awesome paddle mate well done to both of you. I keep saying I would love to paddle that part of the river and after watching this I want to even more. Love the man fishing with the dog Statue.
Thank you sir :) Yes the Ouse rarely dissapoints!
@ 10:15, I'll always promote flat water paddling technique. A proper footrest for generation of power, active position, and full body rotation. Still learning but this is what makes me enjoy my paddling trips. 😁
Wing, Euro, or even Greenland paddles - they all get more efficient with technique. 😇
Good tips there Tom :)
👍💖 Great paddle tour.
Thanks Liz 👍😁
Excellent. Enjoyed it mate ! 😂
Cheerio! hahaha
inspiring me to get back in water soon. great vids
Good stuff 👍😊
Great video Karl. Lots to see. Good to see you in the Story again. I'll be getting my story out now the weather has improved. I'm not as brave as you in the winter months! Can't decide whether to sell it for a more stable kayak instead. It's wobbly at times but i do like the shape and speed of it...oh what to do eh!?
It's interesting you should say that... And you might find my 2yr review of it good, coming in the next few days 👍😊
I got the same kayak, waiting on delivery as we speak. Happy to see it does the job to see the sights...can't wait
Which have you gone for, the Highline or Division? Whichever, I'm sure you'll have fun :D
@@MoreThanJustaCleaner I think I found the same sale for the story. Same site too, don't suppose you'd mind sharing how long your delivery time was roughly?
Yes I was just wondering which model you'd opted for as the 2 are slightly different with the Highline (mine being 1st gen in Blue) slightly larger one... I can't recall how long delivery was but I know it hasn't stuck in my mind as being a bad experience, so I'd say maybe a week.
@@MoreThanJustaCleaner ah yes, it was the division
@@Tigerbalmpanties it should be marginally more maneuverable than the Highline 👍😊
Hi Karl, what’s the difference between the high line and the division?
If you check the website euroskateshop.uk/water-sport/kayak/inflatable-kayak.html you can compare them.
But in short, the Highline is about 25cm longer and can carry 20 to 30kg more load. It also weighs around 4kg more than the Division at around 16kg.
I bought the Highline in anticipation of it being easier to carry camping gear in.
@@MoreThanJustaCleaner thanks Karl. I'm thinking of getting the Division, currently £382
@@carlrafferty bargain 👍😁
@15:35 nice and relaxed paddle till this happens...
LOL it certainly caught me off guard!
Hello
Hello :)
