@@MoreThanJustaCleaner Not had any experience of AirCanoe products but they look very similar to the Oru. So far I've noticed the following advantages with mine: Very low weight, hard shell with chines so better tracking with no skeg, slightly faster than the Story, much better foot rest (which I find helps immensely), greater stability, no pumping (so no pump to carry / fail). Disadvantages: Plastic is prone to scuffing so it can look tatty if you beach it or run it over rocks and pebbles (which I don't). For people who are hard on their equipment (which you aren't) they're not a good choice but if looked after and treated with a bit of respect I think they definitely have a place. Love mine but definitely use it in tandem with the Story rather than as a replacement for it.

Hi again. Another great video. Just been searching for 2nd hand foldable bikes.... If I buy one, I'll blame you! 😂😂 I'm also after some advice. As a newbie who's desperate to get out paddling more, what is the strongest wind you would paddle in? I've got the same Story kayak as you and I'm worried anything over 10mph will ruin the fun. 23 kilograms??!? My good inflatable rowboat is about 4 kilograms in a 20 litre bag, and I've also got a huge luxury rowboat and that is only about 9 kilograms in a 45 litre bag, both with plenty of space for additional stuff in the bags. I don't understand why you guys are so obsessed with these kayaks when the rowboat is superior in almost every way.

One of the reasons kayaks are popular is they tend to be fast on the water and you can cover more distance more easily.

Inflatable kayaks are convenient for throwing it into the back of a car. Rowboats generally take up some space. I have an tandem IK that is 16kg (just over 30 lbs). That is pretty light.
I would choose a Kayak of any sort over a rowboat unless I was trolling for trout, and even then, Kayaks can offer an option for a motor, as mine does. Win win.
