This is my first year creating a reading journal inspired by you! I love that you don’t have rules and make each spread unique. I don’t have much stationary to come up with spreads like yours, but I just use what I have and continue to build my stationary collection. 🐉

I really love the cover page, and the tiny little dragon stickers you made for the advent calendar. Couldn't get the calendar myself at the time, but I have absolutely adored seeing those dragons pop up both in your videos and from people I follow on instagram who have used them in their layouts. 🐉💜
I have really loved watching your reading journal videos this past year. I had my first journal in 2023 and I absolutely loved it. I read a LOT in 2023, but I have never read that much...ever. I think journaling was part of that motivation. Happy New Year! To me, the whole audiobook debate is quite ableist...not everyone has the ability to physically read words on a page in a book. Reading is reading. I have ADHD...audiobooks are sometimes the only way I can consume books...it allows me to be doing other things so I'm not losing focus all the time and getting discouraged.
I hope to read The Throne of Glass series this year. I will need to try the tandem read that sounds interesting. The Dragon stickers are so stinking cute 😍 🐉

The new wave of elitism that's come about with readers lately really bothers me, and I think you hit the nail on the head perfectly - if you end up with the same information regardless of how you processed it, what does it matter whether it was via audio or visual? (Not to mention the inherent ableism of claiming that audiobooks aren't 'real' books!) To be able to read comfortably at whatever pace works best is a gift; the final number of books per year means nothing, at the end of the day. 🐉 (I also really love that cover page. Simple, clean, with soft colours that match the idea of December really well.)

Thank you for the joy you share in every project, you are an inspiration. What is the washi tape at the top of the Tower of Dawn page (leaves with East Asian characters)? I tried to find it in the description but I couldn't find.

I've also done the tandem read for Empire of Storms and Tower of Dawn! I really loved it, purely because it was easier to remember the little details between the 2 books. I understand why Chaol is disliked, but I've always loved him and I loved his character growth in Tower of Dawn. The only think I didn't like was at the time I was in high school and having to bring 2 *very heavy* books to school was not ideal. But you do what you gotta do

I would definitely recommend it! Especially because EOS ends on quite the cliffhanger, so having to read all of TOD before knowing what happens was quite the torture for me the first time I read the series😅 The tandem read just made so much sense😌
I read fast, and a lot. But it’s not like I read much non-fiction. I’m no better than people that binge tv/netflix, and I’ve never thought otherwise. If anything, readers can probably get away with much more questionable entertainment choices, since nobody sees our choices but us.
