  • Part Two - There were so many cast members in the show over the 18 years it was broadcast that you guys thought it warranted a part two. (Thanks JellyMonster1 for suggesting this). We take a further look at more of the cast members as we find out what happened to them. Again, I have only selected a handful as there still far too many to show them all.
If you missed part one, you can watch that here.....

Oh, I loved this series. My favourite/tearful memory is Peter Benson (Bernie), sitting beside the daughter he hadn't known about, looking out to sea, as "Time In A Bottle" is playing. 😢 SO sad. 💙 Thank you for the memories.

I'd forgotten a few of those characters, great stuff. I also got a mention in the credits to cap it all off, thank you.

I think tricia penrose absolutely loved playing gina ward in heartbeat.
I think penrose had the largest wardrobe during the series!

It was very sad when we lost geoffery hughes.
Geoffery brought so many much loved characters to our tv screens.
Geoffery was spot on brilliant with every character he played.

Yeah....he was great in "Keeping Up Appearances" as Onslow.......some of his one liners were delivered with real panache. As Eddie Yates in Corrie too..... "Are yer alright Mrs O".....to Hilda Ogden.
He became me the Lord Lieutenant of The Isle Of Wight I believe.....

@@patagualianmostly7437 What is quite surprising about geoffery hughes is that when he first started acting he had zero experience.
I think he just knew the right people in the right places at the right time.
Geoffery's earliest comedy appearances was in the 1968 series please sir as a painter & decorator, then slightly later in the short lived comedy with spike milligan called curry & chips.
Then as you mentioned geoffery appeared in coronation street around 1976/77.
But my ultimate favourite of all that he played was when he starred in the late 1990's award winning comedy as twiggy in the royal family.
Geoffery hughes was completely epic gold in that!
Mr hughes was impeccable, he could totally transform & bring his characters to life in a completely different way to one another, and when you watched he soon became a delightful much loved character.
Sadly, you just don't get talent like this in tv comedy anymore.
