Lot of the main actors sadly gone now Derek Fowlds, William Simons, Peter Benson, Geoffery Hughes, Bill Maynard. R.i.p ❤ all lovely gentlemen ❤
What I always think about Hearbeat is who's manning the station when they are all in the pub or go home for the night 😅

Derek Fowlds an absolute brilliant actor and an absolutely wonderful guy such a shame he's no longer around sleep tight lovely fella
I'll second that, you would say to yourself that's a contrary old bugger and loathe him, forgetting that it was a role he was playing that's how good an actor he was, the whole cast and series were brilliant , one of my favourite TV programmes.

What a great crew and job they did to make Heartbeat one of the best with Claude greengrass on top of my list for one 😀
Been to Goathland quite a few times, even had a piss in the
Aidensfield Arms aka (Goathland Hotel) I love watching this
show. Its well scripted, well acted, always has good storylines,
and a touch of humour. All to the soundtrack of 60's music.
Great tv. I watch it weeknights at 6.00pm on ITV3.
Great show it was, shame it went downhill (for me anyway) after Nick and Greengrass left. It was the never the same after that and I hated Bernie. Vernon, David and Peggy, and I think all the constables and seargents were bland afterwards. It didn't help by making too many episodes. Should've ended after about the 10th series instead of making 18. Watched Heartbeat being filmed a couple of times, once in 1996 at the police house and twice in 2008 at Goathland.
We have loads of repeat s over here in Ireland and I still don't get tired of watching Heartbeat with Derek fowels and Bill Maynard at the helm sadly no longer with us R I P

@@elliottg.1954 TV dramas and soaps now are all about social engineering and brainwashing viewers with propaganda stories of vaccines being good for us when they're not, transgender, surveillance, woke crap, and now it's all about this Covid nonsense where every damn character is wearing a stupid face mask and social distancing. God help if Heartbeat was still being made, all the actors would be wearing them.

For some odd reason I never realised that Greengrasses house was filmed at two different places. I always wondered when they showed the back of the house it looked like a different house lol. I just assumed it was the same house. I knew in the later series they started to use a studio for the Aidensfield Arms (didn't know they did the same for the interior of the police house) instead of the real location, but I never knew they had it in an old warehouse. Anyone know why they stopped using the real locations?.

I recommend a visit to the area and a steam train ride. Its great. When we return to "normal"

I have been there I saw Heartbeat being filmed
Managed to see one Heartbeat episode being filmed from the earlier series when Nick Berry was still in the show at the police house near Otley, then twice in 2008. During the earlier series it was quite a challenge to find out when the TV crew were going to be filming either in Goathland village or in Otley where they filmed the house and police station mainly because most of the locals either didn't know or wouldn't disclose filming details to anyone. I bet there's a heap of old camcorder videos of the filming of the early series waiting to be seen.
