I absolutely loved "Heartbeat" and am watching all the Repeats ! So Very Sad that so many of these Wonderful Actors that we came to love are no longer with us. May those that have passed over Rest in Peace. 🌹xxx
They certainly don't.. I find something in every episode I either missed or mis-interpreted in each episode ... .long may ITV3 continue to broadcast this series
I still enjoy the reruns of heartbeat, it harks back to better times. Amazing how beautiful all the ladies still are. The guys seem to have aged well too.
I remember meeting bill Maynard in goathland village were heartbeat was filmed I took a photo of him and my dad shaking hands the photo still hangs on my wall and he was great even though he was going to do some filming work it was 1995 I would give my two arm's to go back to those times I will always love heartbeat 👍❤️
Actor, Rupert Vansittart was born in 1958 so he was 34 in 1992, it’s quite easy to make someone look older than they actual are in the makeup department. Actress, Stephanie Cole was only 42 when she first starred in the sitcom , Waiting for God - they aged her up to look like she was in her 80’s.
Bill Maynard as Claude Greengrass was the star of show - it went downhill a bit after he left. Unsung hero was Peter Benson as Bernie Scripps. My other favourite character was the lovely Clare Calbraith as the super sexy Dr. Summerbee.
Oh... my goodness! Jason Durr. Now there is a man with good genes in his family to have aged looking so handsomely. Taking pride in his appearance can only contribute so much. Although I have seen him in different shows, I hadn't made the connection to Heartbeat.
This evergreen series was and still is...wonderful entertainment....it had the quality of instilling an empathy within the viewer....more than a soap opera...with often very sensitive and beautifully constructed storyline...I.E...Daniel with Gina and Phil...the descent into madness of Jenny.....and resulting pathos surrounding Dennis....a truly epic production
This show has starred some really great actors over the years, another fantastic fact is the number of other famous stars who have appeared in the show as guests, it would take some putting together but would produce yet another interesting list of facts about this truly great 1960's based show.
Absolutely brilliant viewing Heartbeat was in the mid to early 90s I still watch it to this day when it is repeated on tv a classic drama to my mind that will never age 😊
Went to whitby last week, the actual place where 'aidensfield' was screened, tho just for an interesting fact dosnt actually exist, the place is called 'goathland' really surreal little village. Would love to have been in this brilliant cast, one of my favourite ever programmes!
David Lonsdale is a neighbour of mine, he lives around the corner from me. I bumped into him about 5-6 years ago whilst walking my dog. As he walked towards me, I thought I recognised him from somewhere, then the penny dropped. I said to him, "Ah! I know that face- 'David' from Heartbeat!" His face lit up and he shook my hand, he was very friendly and down to earth- we chatted for a few minutes. He works on radio and writes these days.
For such a great drama series this video could of been made more professional as the narrator can't even pronounce their names an should of been someone with a Yorkshire accent
Watch it every day! So unwinding to have simple silly plots unfold in this serious times!!! So sad to see most of the older actors are no longer with us!!!
The show's on every Friday night here 9:00 we're at the year 2007 George Miller is the latest sergeant of the Ashford Lee police department he's quite strict and disciplined and I think it'll finish in about another two more years I believe I don't know whether they'll revive it again but it's quite interesting series
Awesome program and absolutely fantastic cast thank you to all of you who made it . I’ve been to the village of Goathland too and the Aidensfield Arms , but not when they were filming sadly. RIP those who have passed away . I liked all the characters but I think Gina was my favourite character and Phil definitely 🩵🩵
Exactly, and is so obvious! For example the "now" photo of "Vernon" looks like a still pic from the Heartbeat series back then. You can tell many are not photos from 2020, some look almost exactly from the same time as the show or soon after🙄
Yes those wonderful shows have gone but thank goodness for repeats which I thoroughly enjoy over and over. The Royal another lovely show, they cut them off too soon and you dont get a proper ending.I am loving watching Call the midwife repeats waiting for the new episodes. Now it's all so called reality garbage which anyone with half a brain wouldn't tune into.I absolutely detest this sort of piffle and would rather read than tune in.Start making good shows again promoting respect for others,it would make a great change.🏴♥️👍
Bill Maynard was born in 1928 and died in 2018, he would have been 64 when he began playing loveable rogue character, Claude Greengrass in 1992. Rupert Vansittart whom played Lord Ashfordly was born in 1958 so he would have been only 34 when he started filming Heartbeat in 1992.
Love heartbeat thanks for sharing. Rest in peace to all the actors that have passed away they were brilliant and will never be forgotten 💔
R.I.P to the cast that are not with us anymore. The others are aging quite well. Especially Kazia who does not look any different.
I absolutely loved "Heartbeat" and am watching all the Repeats ! So Very Sad that so many of these Wonderful Actors that we came to love are no longer with us. May those that have passed over Rest in Peace. 🌹xxx
Well said Josephine I quite agree .👍
My fave was David Lonsdale playing David ,he pulled off the part really well perfect foil for C J .Greengrass
Half way through this series, and sad that some are no longer with us. Really miss Greengrass in the show.
Awesome character. That one episode where we dug up the garden looking for the coins was so funny. He hit the water pipe & lost the coins 😂
I have watched this series from beginning to end so many times over the years & I still love it, they don’t make series like this any more
👮♂️ 🥰🇦🇺
Coppers then and copers now, my god have I died and gone to cuckoo land? when a copper was a copper and looked like a copper!
They don't. We are enjoying watching The Royal again too
@@Weasel0539 I loved the Royal too
They certainly don't.. I find something in every episode I either missed or mis-interpreted in each episode ... .long may ITV3 continue to broadcast this series
@@michaelmiller5387 TOO busy dancing the Maccarana and in their Rainbow cars 🤬..How bloody Embarrassing.. SHAMEFUL...x 🙏
We have the entire series on dvd and have watched it so many times. We love it!
But there was bad ending of the show😢
A few cast members from the series missing from the video, Duncan Bell who played Sgt Dennis Merton for example.
Maybe it's my age, the programme caught the essence of the 60s, the best decade ever.
Nick Berry as PC Nick Rowan was the best of all time
I still enjoy the reruns of heartbeat, it harks back to better times. Amazing how beautiful all the ladies still are. The guys seem to have aged well too.
Some of the Heartbeat cast have aged well, some haven't but unfortunately we are all getting older; it's part of the evolution of life.
Love this series, but miss Greengrass the most.
Heartbeat was my favourite TV program and I like Nick Berry was my favourite!!!
Lord Ashfordly was only 34???????? No chance

Looooved Bernie Scripps X he was my fav too X The good old day when coppers were coppers X Now they are just an Embarrassment....SAD X
Love the series, still watch the repeats.
Some interesting ones thanks for this Freind .
Thank's for a lovely video. But where's mrs Wentress? She's not the one to miss these gatherings 😂
Jason Durr got more handsome as he got older. Also Mark Jordon and Nick Berry.
Thank you. Good compilation
Oh... my goodness! Jason Durr. Now there is a man with good genes in his family to have aged looking so handsomely. Taking pride in his appearance can only contribute so much. Although I have seen him in different shows, I hadn't made the connection to Heartbeat.
Saw him in Sharpe!
He could have been a well cast "James Bond" in other circumstances IMHO.
Gwen Taylor. The perfect Agatha Raisin.
Bill Maynard was 89 when he died. Not 79. 1928 to 2018
This series was great and all the cast were so believable. It's being repeated and I am enjoying it all over again.
Missed out Duncan Bell sergeant Merton
Loving nick Berry ❤️ and loved him in heartbeat

I see David Lonsdale around Southport all the time. Nice guy.
I remember watching on itv on a Friday at 9pm when it first aired! Loved it. 👍
Classic
I used to watch it every Sunday
Rupert Vansittart was 34! I thought he was older.
Bill Maynard was born in 1928 and died in 2018 he was 89 not 79

I enjoyed watching the Video. It reminded me of the Original Cast
Glad you enjoyed it!
I liked the old heartbeat with Claude green grass and nick berry

We have it all on dvd and watch it so often, better than the rubbish on tv now. Love Greengrass and David,
David Lonsdale is a neighbour of mine, he lives around the corner from me. I bumped into him about 5-6 years ago whilst walking my dog. great creator
Great show!
Lol the music is so not Heartbeat.
Watch it every day! So unwinding to have simple silly plots unfold in this serious times!!! So sad to see most of the older actors are no longer with us!!!
Really love his acting!!!
It's so sad they are all good actors and sadly pass way 😭😭
Looooved it X 😍
Consistently good casts and enjoyable plots in a well conceived format over a good many years. Well done
to all concerned!
Thank you kindly!

Bill Maynard was 89, not 79 when he died !
Great mangling of some of the names.
Love the voiceover!
Love it❤
So Green Grass was 64 in 1992 and only 79 in 2018 when he died so he never aged from 2007 wtf
You could have atleast played the heartbeat theme song
Its one of those shows you almost think its still going but its getting on for 13/14 years since it finished
Was een zeer leuke serie, jammer dat ze dit soort series niet meer maken, echt zonde.
Auchtung mein heier
There's a few of the ladies who have aged really well
If Bill Maynard was 64 in 1992, then he must have been around 89 or 90 when he died in 2018! Not 79 as you say on this video.
Yeah some of the ages don't seem right.
He was 90 when he sadly passed away 😔
Noticed that too yeah.
David Lonsdale was one of my favorites too but Penrose and her starcrossed lover, police officer had the most compelling story
This guy can’t pronounce their names right
Your right he had screwed up the names 😨😨😨😨
It didn't require any commentary
I saw Dr Summerbee in the buff in Saturday night and Sunday morning in Manchester in 2009 unforgettable!
One of the best series on TV! Hugely enjoyed over the years, a fantastic cast too. The boring compere on here should give it a rest! 🤣
Tbh only watched it because of that rogue greengrass, loved him in it
Half these "now" photos are not now. Get ur facts right.
Tip, stop talking. We can read
Exactly, and is so obvious! For example the "now" photo of "Vernon" looks like a still pic from the Heartbeat series back then. You can tell many are not photos from 2020, some look almost exactly from the same time as the show or soon after🙄
I have seen so many of these actors in Midsomer Murders
Wish theyed bring it back
You missed out Nick Rowans next wife who went to Canada with him
Enthusiastic voice over. Nothing like high quality voice overs.
Jay Lane - And that was nothing like a high-quality voice-over.
Best tv ever still watch it now xx
Loved watching Dsi Rachel .. really bad acting.. she was on same level as Brian from
Coronation street
What about Duncan Bell, who played Sgt Dennis Merton 😢
Better to let us read the captions. Very annoying voice.
Sophie Ward whom was the Doctor was absolutely gorgeous.
Bill Maynard was 89
Rupert age 34 your joking 😂
He was born in 1958 so no, he was 34 in 1992.
@@jane1975 ok thanks 😀

Sure Trish Penrose's mum and dad owned the and ran the ( famous ) SHE club in Liverpool years and years ago!
I thought Tricia Penrose was Gorgeous then, she still is.
The narration isn't needed on these videos
I met William Simons in Falmouth in the UK. He had a brown cord flat cap on and def approved of my suit, cap and tobacco pipe
wheres james carlton
Rachel Dawson ❤
It would have been more interesting if you had included cause of deaths for those that have departed.
I wish the person speaking who pronounce the names properly
Robot voice?
£2 microphone 🎤
Not everyone has lots of money. 🇬🇧
Shame you got so many ages wrong

Hes hardly aged
Live for today not yesterday
Sosad they decided to end the programme. And not in a very nice way I believe. Still to this day the very best.what were they thinking about???
why was this narrated by someone who clearly struggles with the english language ???
The voice gets on my nerves
Ime not being racist, but he can't pronounce their names properly
Bloody hell this is a bad presentation
Ft
You wouldn't get away with that cast now. Wonderful to see things as they should be and not colored in.
The narration. Why
