    Not that you could get replacement tires for the slightly bigger rims, but they ARE bead-locks. Sadly I stripped one of the threads satisfying my curiosity.

    A very comprehensive review and chat, Mikael! I enjoyed it very much, and I think you covered all the important points. Good to hear the pros and cons, think it came over as very honest and impartial, as I know you are! A great start to the TTT series. All the best, mate! :)

      Thanks, bro! I know these reviews probably won’t be a subscriber-based-bestseller but I hope that somebody from time to time thinking about buying the cars can locate the review on TH-cam. And get an honest non-entertainment review 🙂 Thanks again, bro.

    Ive got the 1801 green machine coming hopefully this week. Looking to have fun with another trail crawler.

      @@NordicRC I have a couple other crawlers too. I love the high speed action of bashing, got that covered with an across and smax. But these crawlers are just something else. Very satisfying field of Radio Control.

    Nice first TTT bro!! Very informative and helpful comparison to the other offerings out there. I personally don't do the small rc's but that is more 1/22 grade then 1/18th.. Looking forward to more if these TTT :)

      Thanks a lot for watching, Chris! It was fun trying out for the first time. Hope I will get better, but definitely a new fun challenge 🙂 I like the small ones too. Fun trying out. But yeah, my greater passion is still with the 1/10 Tamiyas 🙂 Yes, definitely smaller than all the 1/18 I have seen. Thanks again, my friend.

    Very nice desktop review my friend. Already 107 views telling it´s interesting to us viewers who watch your channel regularly. I think this car is mediocre at best, but for the price it is pretty decent. Definitely not a 1/18 scale looking at your comparisons, more like 1/20 or close to 1/24 scale almost. Thanks for the honest review!

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you, Fannie! Ahh, I think this is one of my lowest ranking videos in a long time 🙂😅 But that’s okay. Hope somebody might find it useful. Thank you for the encouraging words. And yeah, this one really has to be compared to the price 🙂

    Excellent review on this little trail truck. You hit the nail right on the head in your review! Still a great little truck as long as the price doesn’t soar above $60. It would be nice if they geared it more for low end, and had a smoother operating esc. That would help define it more suitable as a “crawler!” Love your detailed and very well edited videos! 👊🏼👍🏻❤️😊

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you my friend! Appreciate your words. Uhh, yeah, a good little one if the price doesn’t climb any higher. And yeah, nothing wrong with the truck, but with that gear ratio and the little motor (just like the first RGT 1/24) it shouldn’t really be marketed as a ‘rock crawler’ (or a 1/18). Everything would be cool if they had just called it a 1/24 (or 1/22) off road trail truck 🙂

    Nice review, I like the size comparison with the other RCs the wpl c14 is 1/14 scale and the 1/24 rgt is 1/20 scale

    Couldn't you velcro the battery and velcroed over the servo and hold the battery up there instead?

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That would definitely be a great and quick solution! Good thinking.

  • @bradkalman2353

    Can you get ball bearings for it?

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not sure if the brand makes them. But essentially it's an RGT 1/24 where lots of parts are available.

  • @bradkalman2353

    Seems when you steer it moves the axle up and down a bit.

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yeah, bump steer. All these little ones got it.

  • @BrendonakaShanks
    @BrendonakaShanks 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I'm glad to know they take a 2s battery, even at 350 mah, it's enough to start with setting aside 1st gear. But some momentum helps. How ever, I have a wltoys k989 I got an extra battery for. I quickly discovered that I can use the batteries from it, in my sg 1801. The only difference is an extra 50 mah, which isn't a lot more, but going to use the extra battery anyway.

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sounds like a perfect choice with the other battery too!

    • @BrendonakaShanks
      @BrendonakaShanks 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@NordicRC just be careful with sizing. The battery from the k989 will fit, bit keep in mind the cables, they need a tiny amount of room where they exit the battery. Be careful there as trying to force it in may damage the cover for the wires.

    The video format is really nice, I like the talk stuff. Like it was obvious when you showed the comparison with the sizes, it's a jungle with all those small crawlers, in my opinion most of them would be a waste of money, quite poor quality. I have my Orlandoo's which are a lot smaller, and then I have an SCX24 that I almost never use. If I was to buy any of these, it'd probably be a WPL, I like their concept.

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you, bro! Yeah, a jungle 🙂 I kinda like these small ones. Especially for some cozy runs indoors. The Orlando’s are great too. And I think the SCX24 has better throttle control than these cheaper ones. But I think this SG is about a third of the price of an SCX24. It’s some good little trucks to try out before investing in something else. The WPL are nice too. Got five of them. Best thing is the hard bodies and great parts/upgrade support.

    Let's pretend it's a 1/18 scale suzuki jimny 😂

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, definitely inspired by the Jimny, this body. And maybe it could actually be a 1/18 if it was licensed as one :-) Got a licensed Jimny coming up too. Pretty similar in size.
