Lia, I'm 4'8", which is a whole other level of short-girl shopping. Doesn't help when you definitely have woman proportions. I get about half of my clothes from the girls section. Any tips you can pass along will be welcome!
I think the best thing for me to do during this would be to do an episode with a fellow short girl (someone around 4'8 - 4'11) and see what we find xx I laughed at the "shopping is a shit show" bit haha

@@schasse2011 I found a lingerie shop that carries odd sizes. They had 28 DD/E, and more than one style! The other part of being short is a smaller ribcage. First time in ages I got a bra that fit.

I LOVE this idea! I have the opposite problem (I am about 6 feet tall) and I struggle SO MUCH with clothes. Especially because most tall girl clothes cater to the thin girls and I, for one, am not thin at all. Do what you are interested in putting out on TH-cam. I agree with you that you should shop carefully for classic quality clothing. I have a sister who has always shopped that way and she has clothes that she wore years ago that she can still wear and look stylish. That is also an incentive to look after yourself and not have major changes in your weight(up or down.) As long as you are on other channels I will still be able to enjoy your programs. Lia I am not short or slim but like most people I think that everyone is critical of their own bodies, just about every one wants to change something about themselves, but people need to except themselves for who they are, yes there are things that you can change like your weight, hair color, but there are things that you can't change like your height, the size of your head or foot but you can change your facial features, your breasts with surgery, but excepting what you can't change and making the best of your body by taking care of what you got is best for your health physical and mental.
Hi Lia: I’m 5’3” on a good day! 😂 I like using the word “petite” instead. I can really only shop at places that carry petite sizes. Here in the U.S., anyone 5’4” and under is considered petite size. I enjoy all your videos as well as Joel’s. You both feel like old friends..(I don’t mean “old” as in age because I’m twice yours). 😂

You're just providing a service to international communities by doing the shopping for every person who needs to go look but hate it because like you, they get frustrated in the search. Have fun in the journey and since your the one doing this don't let anyone give you grief over what you want to do FOR THEM/US. My grandma was only 4' 10" and I never once heard her complain any her height. The communities are the ones who get mad when you don't find what they want. I say I'm glad you're providing this heart felt gift. My mom always bought clothes for me that looked good on her. But were too old looking for me. She didn't realize she was shopping for herself. You're a lovely young lady. And you have a great heart. Have fun in this new adventure and keep smiling. Don't make promises you can't keep but let us know that maybe we can give you tiny hints of what we really want for ourselves but are afraid to look for it. Don't promise you'll find it but just say if I run across any items you say you're seeking I'll leave a link on where to find it when I actually do. Or something like that. Go shopping at an upscale boutique. There are so many different types of bras that you may not have heard about if you only shop at discount stores. There are special bras that work well with backless fancy dresses.

honestly i watch a lot of fashion vids or people trying to find clothes that fit their body type, and im here for it. Since the social distancing is going on you could do try hauls from online, i believe you can return those clothes. or at least at most places.

The only reason I might be pressing pause on a few of these episodes is because I don't want to come across as insensitive by being that person who places big orders on new clothing (non essential items lets be honest) during a global pandemic. Perhaps you could also throw in tips for guys who might be married to short girls and could always use gift ideas. Another idea for a topic for you would be learning some basic handyman skills that all girls and prissy boys should know. Basic car maintenance/repair, appliance care, painting, drywall etc... i think it would be fun to see you do it!
Lia, until I watched this video, as a man, it never occurred to me but, they have big and tall women's shops, so do they also have short and small women's shops? I remember that many years ago, I briefly dated a girl who was short and petite. She was 4'-9" tall (144.7 cm), and I'm 6'-2" tall (188 cm). If I went to wrap my arm around her, I would grab air, since her head was lower than my arm. I once took her to a clothing store to buy her a new outfit, and we had to shop in the children's section to find something that would fit her. That was many years ago, so I can't help but wonder if they now have stores, or at least sections in the women's clothing section, for short and petite women?

I LOVE this idea! I have the opposite problem (I am about 6 feet tall) and I struggle SO MUCH with clothes. Especially because most tall girl clothes cater to the thin girls and I, for one, am not thin at all. I love that you are doing this to help others feeling the same way as you when it comes to clothes! ❤️ and maybe you could collab with a tall girl at some point in the series too?! Much love to you 💕

Do what you are interested in putting out on TH-cam. I agree with you that you should shop carefully for classic quality clothing. I have a sister who has always shopped that way and she has clothes that she wore years ago that she can still wear and look stylish. That is also an incentive to look after yourself and not have major changes in your weight(up or down.) As long as you are on other channels I will still be able to enjoy your programs. I'm short too, Lia! Only 5'1 and also have been through weight loss and gain and loss again. Struggled with shopping and settled for clothes that fit even though didn't really like them. Looking forward to this content!

Lia I am not short or slim but like most people I think that everyone is critical of their own bodies, just about every one wants to change something about themselves, but people need to except themselves for who they are, yes there are things that you can change like your weight, hair color, but there are things that you can't change like your height, the size of your head or foot but you can change your facial features, your breasts with surgery, but excepting what you can't change and making the best of your body by taking care of what you got is best for your health physical and mental.
Hi Lia: I’m 5’3” on a good day! 😂 I like using the word “petite” instead. I can really only shop at places that carry petite sizes. Here in the U.S., anyone 5’4” and under is considered petite size. I enjoy all your videos as well as Joel’s. You both feel like old friends..(I don’t mean “old” as in age because I’m twice yours). 😂
I think that would be super cool too for people from outside the UK to get to know another place's fashion trends/shops! I'm from Brazil and lived in Bristol for a year and I miss Topshop, Primark, Urban Outfitters so much!!! Looking forward to the next video!! xxxx

You're just providing a service to international communities by doing the shopping for every person who needs to go look but hate it because like you, they get frustrated in the search. Have fun in the journey and since your the one doing this don't let anyone give you grief over what you want to do FOR THEM/US. My grandma was only 4' 10" and I never once heard her complain any her height. The communities are the ones who get mad when you don't find what they want. I say I'm glad you're providing this heart felt gift. My mom always bought clothes for me that looked good on her. But were too old looking for me. She didn't realize she was shopping for herself. You're a lovely young lady. And you have a great heart. Have fun in this new adventure and keep smiling. Don't make promises you can't keep but let us know that maybe we can give you tiny hints of what we really want for ourselves but are afraid to look for it. Don't promise you'll find it but just say if I run across any items you say you're seeking I'll leave a link on where to find it when I actually do. Or something like that. Go shopping at an upscale boutique. There are so many different types of bras that you may not have heard about if you only shop at discount stores. There are special bras that work well with backless fancy dresses.

honestly i watch a lot of fashion vids or people trying to find clothes that fit their body type, and im here for it. Since the social distancing is going on you could do try hauls from online, i believe you can return those clothes. or at least at most places.

The only reason I might be pressing pause on a few of these episodes is because I don't want to come across as insensitive by being that person who places big orders on new clothing (non essential items lets be honest) during a global pandemic. Perhaps you could also throw in tips for guys who might be married to short girls and could always use gift ideas.
Another idea for a topic for you would be learning some basic handyman skills that all girls and prissy boys should know. Basic car maintenance/repair, appliance care, painting, drywall etc... i think it would be fun to see you do it!

Lia, until I watched this video, as a man, it never occurred to me but, they have big and tall women's shops, so do they also have short and small women's shops? I remember that many years ago, I briefly dated a girl who was short and petite. She was 4'-9" tall (144.7 cm), and I'm 6'-2" tall (188 cm). If I went to wrap my arm around her, I would grab air, since her head was lower than my arm. I once took her to a clothing store to buy her a new outfit, and we had to shop in the children's section to find something that would fit her. That was many years ago, so I can't help but wonder if they now have stores, or at least sections in the women's clothing section, for short and petite women?
