Lovely video of the route. I did Inverness to InverM on my hardtail on a wettish day .. the hills were rather taxing! .. and certain bits of the descent down to drum were rather interesting ! ... you seem to tackle those with aplomb! Ebike coming soon ... cant wait!
Hi, i am enjoying your videos, i did that route ten years ago on normal mountain bike and it was hard going, even just going up past where that hospital used to be and on the bit near the mast, plus big hills before and after Drumnadrochit, i reckon if you had got to Fort Augustus with two bars you probably could have got to fort william or the bottom of Neptune's staircase, i have just recently got back into mountain biking after 10 years away due to having 3 operations on discs in my back, just bought my second full suspension bike a Giant Trance X E+2 pro with a 750 Wh battery, i did my first munro on it today 🙂
That's the biggest problem with ebikes, when out of power, they are absolutely terrible to ride. When someone builds a motor that somehow allows you to pedal without that magnetic resistance feeling, when it's off, they're be onto a winner!
Try the profile 2 ( stock), and use it mainly in ECO and give it another try. For sure you’ll be on the spot. Also bear in mind the cold weather and the elevation and cadence does the difference and well. Use a GPS with the shimano steps and then it will give you the range smarter than the e-bike one because it consideres cadence as well other factors. Keep it going !! I have mine neuron on 7 and simply love it!
I got mine Neuron ON 7 with 630kwh battery two weeks ago and if I am doing ECO and Trail assist (at max on the steep hills) combined and working my legs out (I am not top performer at all), you can with ease manage 100km at least from 100% to 0% (and I am 190cm and 100kg). And still its not ideal 5-12 degrees outside thats also not helping battery. Though really nice test, great surroundings.
How much Trail do you use and how much vertical do you do? My ON 6 with Eddy Current tires, 630 Wh battery, size M did 45 km and 2 h 45 mins (a couple of breaks included) in moderately technical trail and moderate hills, trail mode 100 %, cadence around 90 rpm, 607 m vertical. I weigh 66 kilos plus gear. Temperature around 25 Celcius.
Hey! Loved the video. Have you edited your profiles in the app? Or did you use the stock profile (if so did you use 1 or 2). The profile settings seem to make a big difference in battery performance.
The cycle looks great. Is it a 500wh battery? I think given all the hills you look like you were going up that’s a pretty decent range! Your videos actually convinced me to get an emtb (trek rail 5, as the canyon is no longer discounted)
Yeah it’s 504! Yeh i got 43km in the end I think. I had around 1200m of elevation. I recon on eco it would make 50-55km with similar hills. They still have the neuron on, on the canyon website :)
Unfortunately yes, this Neuron has only 500wh. I dont have an ebike as where I live my normal MTB is enough. But I like to rent it when I find myself in some of the czech mountain ranges down here and while I usually rent local cheap budget brand they have 720wh batteries and I can do about 80km when it goes up and down. I cant imagine having any lower capacity. Probably good when you have some good local trails and you dont want to climb by your own. But not enough for a day adventure in the mountains I think.

Yeah I recon I could get to fort Augustus and from then on ye it’s pretty flat! I’ll be giving it another go at some point :)

So nice trail & views.
Gettin my Neuron:on 7 very soon. I am exited 🤩
You happy with it?
Beautiful Landscapes. Will a 630 kwh battery fit your Neuron?
Unfortunately not as it’s the extra small frame :(

Hey, since we are the same size, could you tell me if you took frame size XL or L? Thanks

How many miles did you do that day, Chloe and how many watts is the battery😊❤

We could pedal but the bike is soo Heavy… HAHA 😂 That’s what you deserve!
Yeah it’s so heavy to the point I’m not fit enough to pedal it up steep hills unassisted.
