Honestly I can't help but kinda love Madam Bo. A knife wielding ninja assassin walks into her tea house demanding that she pay him protection money, and this 70 year old woman answers but punching him in the face and throwing hands.
Too bad it was staged. Still a badass granny.

As much as I absolutely adore Madam Bo, I don't want to see her make an appearance as a playable character. I dont want to be put in a situation where I'd have to fight or perform a Fatality on her.
Instead, I'd love to see her join the roster as a Kameo.

In this timeline the Lin kuei we’re never assassins but it’s still awesome

I'm absolutely fascinated by Madam Bo. It can't be coincidence that she and Bo Rai Cho both trained future kontestants. Seriously wondering if in this era, she's possibly a female incarnation or his mother/grandmother. Either way, I'm gonna be pissed if she isn't a DLC later down the road.
It'd be cool to fight as her but I'd imagine the most she'd ever be is a kameo. I feel like it wouldn't sit well with some having a fatality performed on an elderly woman.

The cool thing about these interactions being all (semi)canon is these character moments. So much personality is crammed in. Syzoth, Smoke, Baraka, Rain, these interactions gives them even more of a revamp. The fact almost everyone calls Syzoth by his actual name, in and out of universe is honestly incredible. Who would have thought *Mortal Kombat* would somehow weave a story in which the audience itself lets go of prejudice for the Tarkatans and to fully embrace Syzoth. You gotta assume Syzoth was *branded* "Reptile" in a derogatory way. It feels wrong to call him that now. He was even seen as a "monster" by his own species. Now he's found true friends, has a demon girlfriend, and universal love from the audience.
What prejudice? Baraka was always a fan-favorite even before this game.

They keep bringing up "raiden's sister" but don't name her. I have a feeling she is going to be a gender bent Fujin. Considering how he wanted the mortal experience in the last timeline Liu Kang might have gone there.

@@krabbecorkorn He's still the same character, so experiencing life as a different gender is still in-line for Fujin. It's not about it being the same Fujin, but considering this is a reboot of the previous timeline, it makes sense that Fujin might change genders simply because of his (or her) nature.

Madam Bo really stole the spotlight in the first chapter and in the ending.
Can we all agreed of having Madam Bo as a playable DLC character in Kombat Pack 2? The VA who played and does Motion Capture Performance would like that.
While I have no doubt that she'd be an awesome fighter, I don't like the idea of her being the victim of a gory fatality.
I'd rather she be a Kameo. Being able to summon an octogenarian badass to scald your opponents with a faceful of tea would be GLORIOUS.

I love how this version of Kung Lao isn't just boastful of himself but of others too! He's more than happy to be like "Madam Bo is badass" "raiden's sister is so cool!" "Raiden should be more confident because he's dope!" It adds a layer to the cockiness that MK11 amplified from MK9
She should absolutely be a DLC. Imagine her 80 year old self nonchalantly lighting up a cig after a brutality.

@@TerminatorGundam300Nice! Though Baraka and others are from Outworld. Though I guess some of her customers come from there. Also have you tried real tea? The loose leaf stuff from Asia and Matcha is much better than Lipton. It makes you feel rooted in place and all the noise in your head go quiet for a while. It's pretty nice and also has overall health benefits. I recommend it. It's pretty cool.

I love how the dialogue in these openings are unique and not just a "mix-and-match" type of conversation like what they did in Injustice 2. I know a lot of people think that MK1 has a lot of flaws, especially about the bugs and internal issues, but compared to their previous titles this is a huge step in the right direction. For me, at least.
Tbh that was mainly just Injustice 2. I think there was a VA strike going on at the time? Don't quote me on that.

I would love it if Madam Bo is the stage fatality for tea house. Imagine, she feeds the opponent with her special tea, making them throw up like Bo Rai Cho in mkxl, or force feeds them until they choke to death or explode

Took me a while to figure that out.
Question from new MKfan - So the tournament for the realm's "fighting honor/keeping the hostel realms at bay from conquering Earth" happens once every 100 years (That's what Lu Kang said when he came to Johnny's house). So that pretty much means the chosen ones (Raiden, Kung Lao, Johnny, and the ninja brothers) will not live long enough to see the next tournament cause they're just humans (that's sad). But also, I thought the ninja bros were the chosen ones for Earth realm. So why did Lu have to get Kenshin, Johnny and the farm bros this time around?
I'm guessing Raiden's sister is a genderbended Fujin.
