Smoke hasn’t shown any signs of bad intentions or personality traits (he’s a bit naive and a caring dude) so it makes sense, besides she gave a more vague answer with mileena anyway
I got a theory that Liu Kang sees redemption in his adversaries (even Shoa Kahn to an extent). When crafting his timetime, he sought to give Repile, Baraka, Mileena, Tanya, Shao, and Shang Tsung to give him "good lives". Then [SPOILER] f🤬ked things up...

I mean sure in the story mode Nitara didn't say much and only hisses. Some fans says she voice the character but did not give much feelings in it but the reason I believe why Nitara have so few talking lines in the Storymode, most of them don't sound so dramatic and feels a bit less emotional because: 1. In the main story Nitara the character herself is like the minions of the Boss villains and not much else is explored about her yet, plus the main story focused on the main hero and villain characters, Nitara, Ashrah, Havik are much older characters that got a come back in this new game. For the main villains are Shang Tsung and Quan Chi so it focus on them and the main heroes of New Era. 2. This is the main story so far and Nitara's own story in the game are still to be explored in New Era and hopefully DLC I say Megan Fox is a great actress and I am glad that she voice Nitara cause little I know about her and I know many people will hate me for this but I say Megan Fox Nitara in MK1 is better than Michael Bay's Transformers and TMNT franchise. I never hate the actors/actresses I only wished that the story writting in Michael Bay's Transformers and TMNT franchise was better.
I think it would have been brilliant if Baraka was without a disease in MK1 just to show how much of a badass soldier with a good heart he was vs Reiko who's loyalties lies more with Shao than with Outworld... Then have him and Mileena transform for the sequel.
Him saying "the show must go on" just screams "it is what it is". He know his fate. Supervising a timeline for billions of years and can't even die? F🤬K THAT!
"can combat transmit your disease?" "If we are not careful yes" Ah yes because getting sick should be the main thing on your brain while fighting a monster with giant teeth and giant blades. In the original timeline, Jax is Sonya's superior so my understanding is that he joined the Special Forces before her and that's why he's mentioned first here... In real life, the FBI is not part of the U.S. Special Forces so if MK follows this, maybe Kenshi and Jax leave the FBI and meet Sonya on the Special Forces... or Sonya joins the FBI later on... don't know.
@@redacted2275 Jax and Kenshi founded the Outworld Bureau of Investigation (O.B.I), and according to some intro dialogues, it seems like they are in a sort of "alliance"(something like a mutually beneficial relationship) with the black dragon clan, which can be a set-up to Kano eventually betraying Sonya So she can be either an FBI agent that joined Jax after he founded the group, or she can be working undercover inside the black dragon clan, building trust with Kano before he does something fucked up

Cage clearly LIVES in America. He is not helping his acting goals
Smoke asking about demons is actually worrying since in the past timeline he was taken over by the Enenra demon after dying
Which is also crazy cause they said “Enenra’s are the worst kind”
4:41
The fact that the Kris sensed no evil in Smoke just shows how good of a guy he is. He has some of the most wholesome interactions in the entire game. He's definitely my favorite character in the game.
2:56 That is one of the best Geras interactions I've seen.
“Why aren’t there any women among your ranks?” “Liu kang thought Johnny Cage would lose focus too easily.”
Who ever invented that Shang Tsung voice acting is brilliant!
You mean Cary-Hiroyuki? He invented it, but in Mortal 1 Kombat, shang tsung is Voice acted by Alan lee. But Cary-Hiroyuki invented it.
0:10 the voice acting of megan wasnt that bad here. I wish all of it was at least like that.
I imagine these intro dialogues are probably recorded with both VAs in the same room (or at least some of them are), so that they can play off each other better
There's another good one vs. Sub zero
This one 10:08
I honestly wouldve loved it if her lines are substantially more hits than misses, if not no misses at all smh
Even a broken clock is right twice a day
I like 4:03-4:10 as well. I wonder why she's so off in most when it IS possible for her to sound okay. Was she paid by the hour like some users said?
I think her line read at 9:44 was near perfect, like she came off as a believable character there. I don't know what they were doing during for her recording process or what the circumstances were, but clearly they weren't going out of their way to get or use her better takes. Most of her dialogue is flat as as all get out but I don't necessarily blame her for that. It's a shame, really.
I love how anytime Tomas asks a question, people actually anwser his question, even Nitara and Shao of all people actually anwsered his question.
*3:29* sadly it means watching every movie even the bad ones so geras became a critic
Johnny Cage: "Damn, bro, you so old."
Geras: "It is what it is."
I like seeing characters generally depicted as being evil such as Shao Khan and Baraka being honest and genuine whenever someone had a legitimate question about them.
Nitara: can you control blood like water?
Rain: hold on, stop, you cooking something.
“Can you control Blood as well as water?”
That… is an interesting question.
Well, blood is 95% water, so...
bloodbending
Skarlet is needed
Damn vampire lady! Don't give him an idea!🤣🤣
I love how baffled Shao was when questioning Liu Kang. Seeing him genuinely confused was hilarious
4:09 NITARA'S VOICE SOUNDED SO CALM AND PEACEFUL WHAT
i don't have mk1 I'm surviving off of crumbs
Imagine being so old, that time doesn't matter anymore
"Why do Earthrealmers think reptiloids live among them?"
Okay, that one's just straight up funny.
Oh my lord i hope they never change smoke he is so wholesome
7:02 oh nah bro shang tsung in the yakuza? That would be a nightmare for kiryu
Very amused that Rain is legit intrigued at the idea of controlling blood XD
I love how Ashrah tells Smoke "the worst demons are the Enenra", yet her kriss senses no evil in him, he's just a wholesome boy
Why no one curious about Havik's regeneration? Y'know, not every seidan can do that. And why Havik is always hurting himsel... like, in his wining pose he rips his own heart with no reason
Dude has a unique ability and he never miss an opportunity to flex it
His regeneration is a result of Quan Chi's magic and tbh, if you could easily rip out your limbs or organs and have them regrow in the matter of seconds, wouldn't you use them as weapons?
@@PolarGabriel well. I don't mind him using his limbs as a weapon and stuff. Nut sometimes he just flexes it like "Look. I can rip my heart from my chest without consiquenses"
Baraka and havik are the ones with most unique regeneration. Baraka's a little less powerful, but havik, he's technically immortal.
@@PolarGabrielI would be the biggest organ donor of Earthrealm 😂😂😂
I'd like to think the question Nitara asked Rain is a reference to the last Airbender with how water benders could bl00d bend
Idk about Ashrah’s blade being able to give such absolute answers like that.
Humans are more dynamic and nuanced than the black and white morality Mortal Kombat always seems to go for.
If Armageddon intro teached us anything...
Is that there absolutely only two sides of morality and that is split in exactly 50/50
Yeah, and you know that because you're a human (an Earthrealmer in MK). 🙄 She's not, her journey is to discover how to be a human.
Smoke hasn’t shown any signs of bad intentions or personality traits (he’s a bit naive and a caring dude) so it makes sense, besides she gave a more vague answer with mileena anyway
@@DM-Ozand half of one of them are there because there are no 3rd party
Oh boy Rain is gonna become a Blood Bender
7:15 𝘛𝘪𝘵𝘭𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘳𝘳𝘳𝘳𝘳𝘳𝘳𝘳𝘥
3:51 that’s some interesting tidbit of worldbuilding there
Agreed.
“Defeat me and I’ll answer them.” She said that while smiling, take the hint Smoke!
This game really did Reptile and Baraka justice
I got a theory that Liu Kang sees redemption in his adversaries (even Shoa Kahn to an extent). When crafting his timetime, he sought to give Repile, Baraka, Mileena, Tanya, Shao, and Shang Tsung to give him "good lives". Then [SPOILER] f🤬ked things up...
3:00 I love how literal and pure that pun of an answer is. XD
0:53 Oh Nah Rain is gonna be a full fledged water bender if he does.
5:53 Dat Li Mei’s giggle 😄
Tanya: Why no female are Earthrelem champion?
Me: Why no Male are Umgadi?
I’ve been a liu kang fan since childhood so seeing him as a god makes me so happy
2:19 A great question for sure. Liu Kang basically said screw Sonya lol
Well considering this timeline’s version of Jax, I’m assuming that either Sonya isn’t ready yet or revealing the whole thing to her at the time would mean dropping that bombshell on the entire US government.
Why are there no man among the Umgadi?
0:10 this might actually be the most amount of emotion we're gonna get out of her
I find it funny how Rain interested if he can Bloodbending
Even though we already have Skarlet
1:28 wisdom, sure. Courage, no problem. But compassion? hell no!
7:20 This one is my personal favorite. Baraka just sounds so geniuenly confused on how Johnny is so popular and Johnny pretty much responds with "I'm sexy and I know it!" lol
1:34 Shao's making a legit question here. He doesn't even sounds mad, just puzzled.
Baraka might just be my favorite character and I love the respect the others are finally starting to show him
Every character intro: past events, plot points, important questions, serious attitudes...
Johnny: Don't mind me fellas, I'm simply here to entertain myself.

To be fully honest I know many MK fans complained about Megan Fox voicing Nitara but after listening closely to these intro dialogues, I say she is not bad at all. I mean sure in the story mode Nitara didn't say much and only hisses. Some fans says she voice the character but did not give much feelings in it but the reason I believe why Nitara have so few talking lines in the Storymode, most of them don't sound so dramatic and feels a bit less emotional because:
2. This is the main story so far and Nitara's own story in the game are still to be explored in New Era and hopefully DLC
I say Megan Fox is a great actress and I am glad that she voice Nitara cause little I know about her and I know many people will hate me for this but I say Megan Fox Nitara in MK1 is better than Michael Bay's Transformers and TMNT franchise. I never hate the actors/actresses I only wished that the story writting in Michael Bay's Transformers and TMNT franchise was better.
0:53 Is it just me or that was a reference to Avatar.
Waterbending extends to blood bending.
I think it would have been brilliant if Baraka was without a disease in MK1 just to show how much of a badass soldier with a good heart he was vs Reiko who's loyalties lies more with Shao than with Outworld... Then have him and Mileena transform for the sequel.
2:57 geras is just geniunely tired of his immortality
Him saying "the show must go on" just screams "it is what it is". He know his fate. Supervising a timeline for billions of years and can't even die? F🤬K THAT!
3:57 Now THAT is something I'd love to see! A horde and stampeed of Tarkatans charging full speed towards the enemy, Savagery over numbers!
Judging by what being a Tarkatan means in this timeline. It’d probably look like some World War Z shit. XD
Yall peep kenshi asking geras " youve seen it all haven't you?" Outta everyone though😂
0:53 oh nah he's about to start bloodbending
4:45 man imagine how lethal a Zaterran and Tarkatan mix would be
(If you haven't already played/seen it) Look up the "Fury" enemy type from DMC5.
I guess it'd be something like that... albeit more aggressive.
@@xKingx16oh shit; you’re totally right!
The lore dumps in these is kinda nuts!
i like how she referenced "enenra smoke" from mkx
0:55 Rain: THAT IS A STU-most interesting question.
I like how everyone is nice to tomas except bi han
Nitara's Question towards Rain sound like a possible refference to Avatar's bloodbending.
7:32 please let this be a story point in the next campaign installment
Smoke is dead. I, am Enenra
Wasn't Enenra the demon that gave Smoke their powers?
"can combat transmit your disease?"
"If we are not careful yes"
Ah yes because getting sick should be the main thing on your brain while fighting a monster with giant teeth and giant blades.
Yes I know they're on the same side in this game. See this is what is called a "Joke" smart people get that and click like, while idiots feel a need to tell me this in a reply. CHOOSE YOUR DESTINY
would it be considered a victory if one ended up like Baraka?
@@ZackExplorer28 FATALITY! American healthcare system! Baraka WINS!
@@s.m2895What? People's carelessness have nothing to do with that ffs
@@redacted2275u don't get jokes , do u?
Considering they're allies, it's probably meant to be a sparring match.
2:25 this really feels like the writers teasing us about sonya lol
it's really weird that she hasnt been mentioned at all, even in the tower endings (like how jax was in kenshi's)
what exactly is she doing during the events of this story? is she fbi like jax?
In the original timeline, Jax is Sonya's superior so my understanding is that he joined the Special Forces before her and that's why he's mentioned first here...
In real life, the FBI is not part of the U.S. Special Forces so if MK follows this, maybe Kenshi and Jax leave the FBI and meet Sonya on the Special Forces... or Sonya joins the FBI later on... don't know.
@@redacted2275 Jax and Kenshi founded the Outworld Bureau of Investigation (O.B.I), and according to some intro dialogues, it seems like they are in a sort of "alliance"(something like a mutually beneficial relationship) with the black dragon clan, which can be a set-up to Kano eventually betraying Sonya
So she can be either an FBI agent that joined Jax after he founded the group, or she can be working undercover inside the black dragon clan, building trust with Kano before he does something fucked up
Fun fact scorpion was originally named scorpion because the devs originally designed him to transform into a scorpion for finishing moves
