I had said previously that you need to read The Ballad of Never After asap, but I think your suggestion of waiting a couple months is better because then you won’t have to suffer as long waiting for the final book to be released. It’s actually painful having to wait so long to find out what happens next 😭💚

Ahh every heart a doorway is soo good!!! The rest of the series is super cool as each book follows different characters and therefore the stories are very different but equally beautiful!!
If you like cozy fantasy you need to read the Shady Hollow series!! it’s so cute it’s more like cozy mystery but all of the characters are animals

omg I've been reading the every heart a doorway series (listening to the audiobooks!) and they are SO GOOD like woah it's so fun to be into a hella long series again!! super magical, and i find myself thinking about the worlds all the time!
I loved Imaginary Friend!! I read it during quarantine and it’s still a book that I think about constantly.

Ohmy i read secret service of tea and treason earlier this month and it was soooo good. A 5 star read! I absolutely loved it. Even my friend who doesn't read wanted to read it when I was talking about certain scenes or dialogue sequences

I hope you enjoy the caraval series! I loved it, legendary was my favorite. (That’s the one jacks comes into the story in). I haven’t read once upon a broken heart yet, I want to have the second book before I do and I don’t want them to not match 😅
Omg, I've also been wanting to read the Wayward children for such a long time! And yay, you picked up Imaginary Friend! I don't want to spoil anything but I just wanted to say that the book isn't like super in-your-face satanical/biblical even though it is there, but I still hope you like it!🥰I also really hope you like Caraval, since it's one of my favourites and my book husband of all time is in those books😌
The Road is the only post-apocalyptic book I’ve read. I honestly liked it and enjoyed reading the father and son more than anything else. I liked seeing their interactions and relationship in a post-apocalyptic setting.
In a Holidaze is a fun one!

first of all, love your videos!!! since you purchased dance of thieves and vow of thieves i thought i would mention that there’s sort of a prequel series. the first book is called Kiss of Deception and even though i believe the two series could be read separately (i only read kiss of deception so far), a friend of mine started reading dance of thieves (without having read KoD) and told me that it was very hard to get into the world and its concepts, bc those are established in kiss of deception. maybe you could look into that yourself some more, as i’m not sure, but i wanted to mention it :)
I still don’t know why I love them but I’m always here for the book unboxings. Death of a bookseller and the memory of animals are on my list to read soon.

I've read so many of these recently! Nature of witches was so close to being a 5 star for me, I absolutely loved it! Emily Wilde's Encyclopaedia however I really didn't get on with so I can't wait to see what you think! Caraval is also one of my favourite trilogies so I hope you love it 😊

Hey Jamie, Love your videos! I'm thinking you may like Lisa Jackson, especially since you're a huge romance fan, as Lisa originally wrote historical romance. My first recommendation would be Hot Blooded or Deep Freeze (she writes standalones as well as some minis). Good luck!
I believe Dance of thieves duet is a spin off of The Remnant Chronicles or based in the same world, its a good read too.

Id really recommend 'The End of the World is Bigger than Love' by Davina Bell, it was a 5 star for me, a soft apocalypse story with an unreliable narrator(s). Its not massively focusrd on the apocalypse, but it is a big factor obviously
the Caraval series is absolutely NOT a skip. it’s so whimsical and you get to know jacks SO much better

Book of the Unnamed Midwife is such a good post-apocalyptic novel! Highly recommend if you haven’t read it! I like it because it doesn’t have absurdity/ridiculous characters dystopians sometimes have and is quite unique in the over saturated dystopian market. It can get quite dark though, I have to warn.

If you haven't already, you should read The Remnant Chronicles by Mary E. Pearson - it's set in the same world as Dance of Thieves, but I believe that the two series are separate, so you don't have to read one before the other. But they're so good!

Imaginary Friend was.... too long and like the author did a ton of crack before he wrote it. I DNFed at like 800 pages because I could NOT take it anymore.
