Same, Kilroy and Beagle got me into Arma a decade ago, i know they have since both left ShackTac because of all the drama Dyslexci caused and other reasons but i wish they would go back to Arma some day, it was so entertaining.
@Dick Izzinya It's an extremely long story, but the extremely shortened version is that shacktac is basically a cult that was trying to push out anyone who they didn't like and at some point they started targeting Jamball who was iirc beagles girlfriend and a whole bunch of stuff went down that ended up causing Kilroy, Jamball, and Beagle to leave with dyslexci being the root cause. I found all of this info out through many forums several years ago you might still be able to find some last time i checked a few were gone and you had to use the way back machine, there was also an interview with Beagle and Jamball which included their photos (ShackTac requires a photo ID in your application among a lot of other personal info) on their side of the story and it was pretty extensive. This was not the only case of this happening after i found this out i looked deeper and there was another user who basically had the exact same situation (girlfriend being targetted etc etc) and everyone on the forum said it was his fault and insulting him and after reading through all of this stuff over the course of a few hours it really ruined ShackTac for me. I highly recommend reading into it if you are a fan of Dyslexci and ShackTac cause they swept this under the rug well, you ever noticed ShackTac never really gets bigger or has female players anymore? Really makes you think.
@@ghostly6175 Sorry after 10 months. But have you got a link for the interview or where it was posted? Found most of the stuff being alluded too. And did seem odd, Taconic also gone. Lot of the spark of the uploads at that time has also gone, the tone is very more deadpan without these voices.
The single greatest Arma 2 video I have ever seen. This is already legendary amongst my circle of friends. When they first told me about it, I thought they were exaggerating. But now that I've seen it for myself... I think they were underselling just how awesome that was.
This was great, but sort of confusing. Hard to determine what is going on in some sense, and it feels hyper-realistic considering how scattered everyone was..and I love how that guy died immediately after you getting in the truck. Felt like some sort of movie scene.
You can watch Beagle's spectator footage of the events after the ammo truck part if you want, search "BAD DUDES", very funny video and shows bits you won't get here from Kilroy's perspective
Watching Beagle's video made me get it I think. Kilroy is a hostage who the BLUFOR are trying to rescue. The dude who Kilroy keeps running into, Dslyecxi, is on OPFOR whose mission is to eliminate the BLUFOR rescue team. Dslyecxi is trying to use Kilroy as bait but he keeps falling unconcious and the rescue team fucks up completely and can't find him. If you watch Beagle's version you see how Dslyecxi hunts down the BLUFOR, it's fucking amazing :D

Oh my gosh, you guys still play Dark Business? That was easily my favorite mission back in the OFP days. I think you can even see me in old Dark Business OFP aar on Dsylecxi's site. How many people were actually playing in this? Man, I wish the entry process for Shacktac wasn't so daunting these days. I'd love to play with some of you guys again.

Their clan's webpage is, shacktac.com, they have all of their requirements. Which basically add up to, don't be a douche bag, be mature, follow orders, you don't have to be good at the game. You also need Skype, Teamspeak, Arma II and Arma II: Operation Arrowhead (you can buy Arma II: Combined Ops, which has both for only $30 total on Steam), and finally an IRC client. If you join, make sure that your not just going to get bored and quit later, that's a big no no.

the mod they use is a modified ACE2 mod which is only available for shacktac members and missions, and the mission is just a custom one.
