    Stupendous update on EV sales so far. I guesstimate that we need an average of 25% EV sales year on year growth to get to around 50 million EV sales pa by 2030 to really make some impact - only achievable if there are enough affordable EVs available in all markets, so come on Tesla get your promised low cost car out the door asap.

      I sort of don't get what you mean. The only available full year past data is 2023. The 2024Q1 cannot be used, we need a full year. So, on what basis did the media claim that the EV sales were down? On future data from 2024? Don't you get the fact that the goal of these FUD news about EVs is to lower the EV sales? Their wish is the father of this idea. It is one of the OEM death cramps. They know there is no way out, as it is too late now to develop even the OTA software updates; too late to try to compete with China... they are done.

    BEVs seem to be running out of Early Adopters
    and the subsidies are running out too
    like Germany, where Tesla imploded 40% in Q1 over last year.
    Hybrids do not suffer from ANY of the problems BEVs have
    no range anxiety
    no charging anxiety
    So EV sales maybe increase but BEVs have major problems ahead of them

    • @davidbuchan3753
      @davidbuchan3753 13 วันที่ผ่านมา +5

      Not a chance! 😂 BEV’s are the worst of both worlds. Poor ev range. ICE maintenance headaches. Gas stations. Etc… I’ve driven my TESLA M3 in -40C in mid-Alberta, Canada and not only had zero range anxiety - but appreciated a car that could get warm BEFORE I got in it - AND could summon to my doorstep. Seriously - just test drive a TESLA/spaceship

    • @noleftturns
      @noleftturns 13 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@davidbuchan3753 Elon has had 10 year to deal with both range and charging anxiety
      and has failed.
      In fact he made it worse by opening his superchargers to every BEV that rumbles by increasing wait times.
      Hybrids have none of these problems
      better yet - ICE cars have even fewer problems than hybrids
      1) Cheaper
      2) Less maintenance
      3) better resale values since no $5,000-$20,000 battery can go wrong.
      Try using Summon on federal or state land, and you will be ticketed by the police.

    • @ZaphodTube
      @ZaphodTube 13 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      of course a Tesla is a better car than a hybrid. But there are other brands with problems. It just takes a few years, but in the end, the world will be electric. I wouldn‘t buy a hybrid which I fear I can‘t sell in a few years. Brands and media don‘t help. So it just takes time # lile every transition. People who sell the old stuff are powerful, so it‘s a bumpy ride like every adoption. Time will tell. And the air quality will get better :)

    • @dvader3263
      @dvader3263 13 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Many people who own hybrids with 38 miles of range rave about how they only need to fill their gas tanks once every few months.
      If they are able to drive for months without filling their gas tank, and they are running on electricity most of the time with just a short electric range, then they are not driving any long distance trips. So, an EV with over 300 miles of range is all they would ever need.
      With the Supercharger network, their is no range anxiety. Hours ahead of charging, the vehicle gives info telling the range, when and where the vehicle can be charged, how many Superchargers are available and the cost per kWh. Again, hours before arriving.
      Range anxiety mostly happened when EVs had a range of 73 miles. Newsflash for all, with Tesla, range anxiety is no longer a thing.
      And as far as cold weather is concerned, EV batteries like to be pre-conditioned/pre-heated, which allows for longer range and fast charging times in cold weather. Preconditioning is as easy as setting an alarm on a smartphone.
      Uninformed people need to learn how to use this simple technology.
