    Came across this vid late, but really enjoyed it. Great content and very professionally done. I got a lot of good information from it and I've been looking at the 360 setup. Great show!

      Wicked, thanks man! I try to keep it fun and entertaining, as well as educational. I always learn something while I'm making these videos, and I hope to pass that along to the viewers. Glad you found Seat Time.

    Great vid Woody. I have the Mako 360 on my Beta 300RR, I have no complaints and they definitely help with vibration and shock

    • @SeatTime

      What elastomers and shark bite colors are you running?

    • @vince5946
      @vince5946 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SeatTime purple bar polymers and orange shark bite polymer. This was recommended to me by Lance at XC gear. I can't give you much feedback on what colors would be better than the others but this setup seems to work ok for me. I am older and not super aggressive anymore so the softer the better IMO.

    • @SeatTime

      That seems like the right place to be for wanting a bit of a softer setup. With blue shark bite polymer, I get a bit of bar roll still. I'm going to go up one in stiffness to see if it deletes it.

    Hey Woody, I've seen you on Morgan's channel and recently subscribed to yours...excellent channel and like your content. I installed the 360 on my Beta xtrainer a couple weeks ago and it's truly is amazing at taking the shock and vibration away. I have orange for bar and yellow for sharkbite , I do notice bar movement when I'm standing and going faster while hitting objects when I have more weight on the bars. I did order the stiffer blue sharkbite to try but the little bar movement really doesn't bother me. The Mako to me is a game changer, the numb hands, sore elbows and shoulders is pretty much gone. XC told me that the Mako for the Beta will fit my KTM 500 so I am going to try it out on that as well...I know I'm going to have to buy another one dangit!

      Wicked, thanks for joining us over here on Seat Time! I've really enjoyed the Mako360, it's helped in all the areas you said it has for me. As I have been increasing my speed over the past couple months, I am planning on going up in stiffness on both the elastomers. I'm Orange and Blue (I think) right now. Even if the 360 ones stay Orange, I'll go up on Sharkbite for sure. I feel that slight rotation of the bar as I start driving into obstacles and weighting the front of the bike more. We shall see! Thanks again for subscribing!!!

    You got the top clamp on backwards...The emblem in the middle faces the rider the white "mako" and "360" faces forwards. That is the way they show it on the XC gear web page...but whatever makes you smile.

    Great video, Woody! Very curious with your thoughts over time, but as a Mako 360 owner (SX models on my '22 and '23 Husky 350s), I gotta say, I definitely notice them. I compared them to stock, as well as against KTMs first party offering that a buddy has, and truly notice differences. Whether it's on the moto track or trails, they have been a true game changer for me and my dad. Last question to stir the pot - why'd you mount the top clamp upside down? 😋

    • @SeatTime
      @SeatTime  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks! As far as the top clamp, I selfishly wanted SEAT TIME to be facing the front of the bike 🤩

    You should have mentioned grips as well since their is a wide range of densities, and double and triple density types, as they can make a difference. Personally, I run the BRP setup with the softest polymer inserts (with stock triple clamp) and dual density grips.

    • @SeatTime
      @SeatTime  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      HECK YEAH, glad you brought up grips. That's a great way, and probably one of the cheapest routes, to start dampening vibrations. And now that you mention it, MTB's have way more options for grip dampening than dirt bikes do. We need to take note!

    Woody, Out of curiosity, which do you like better between the flex bars or mako 360? I have the flexxbar on my 17 te300 and the mako 360 on my 22 350 xc-f.

    • @SeatTime
      @SeatTime  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I specifically choose the MAKO due to my wanting to keep the lower Astra handlebar. So if I had to choose right now, the MAKO. That doesn’t take away from the options the Flexx Bar offers, it’s just that they don’t have that low of bar height options.

    • @brycedavis907
