This created the perfect formula for the Black Plague to arise, due to the rat population explosion which occurred with their natural predator, the cat, removed from the equation.
This is an absolutely terrifying companion piece to Bram Stoker’s Dracula. I always wondered what happened on that ship that brought the count to London.

The only problem so far is that the crew dislikes the cat. Due to the time frame, cats where common on ships and a welcome companion to life aboard.
