I'm a Laker fan and Lebron is great but I watched Jordan's whole career when it happened too. Jordan was above and beyond then and now, offense and defense from beginning to end. He would have a frikkin Field day in today's game.

🚨Exactly no debate. MJ is never the Goat. He’s just a media marketing favorite, with paid analysts and delusional fans. 😵‍💫
🛑A goat wins on any franchise, MJ never ever came close to any championship after going to another franchise. That’s not a goat.🤣
🛑The Goat doesn’t rely on a single particular player or coach to win. MJ needed Scottie his whole career. Super Coach constantly teaching MJ to win??? Lol sorry MJ.
🛑The goat has the most championships of all time , NOT MJ. 6 is NOT close to the ALL TIME CHAMPIONSHIP LEADER.
🛑SCORING is what makes all champions… therefore… The GOAT is THE ALL TIME LEADING SCORER… MJ never was All TIME SCORER.
🛑The Goat wins championships in both NBA Conference. MJ did not.
🛑The Goat wins multiple finals MVP on 3 different franchises with 3 different coaches and 3 different set of players… MJ is not even mentally built to handle that.🤕
All Time must be your legacy to be the NBA GOAT… MJ is old people personal favorite because of the media hype that MJ had even before finally winning. That’s just a hype show making money for the marked NBA… not the All TIME GOAT.🪦✨✨✨🏀

Michael Jordan is the GOAT because he is the World Champion 6 times (along with the other Bulls) throughout the 1990's. Before the NBA Championships in the 1980's, people were already recognizing that he was the GOAT. I do respect LeBron and according to him, he is still better than 95% of the current NBA players. I'll give you a reason that has nothing to do with basketball statistics. Michael Jordan was a household name in the 80's without social media. There are 3 things that everybody in the entire world (not the USA... THE PLANET EARTH) knew about in his era. Michael Jackson, Mcdonald's, and Michael Jordan. There was no social media. He wasn't even the first guy with a shoe deal, but you see where he took that. 🤷‍♂️ And he did it without social media.
Basketball itself wasn't a worldwide sport just yet... But Michael Jordan piqued the world's interests in basketball, and then all of a sudden it was played in this country and that country... then wait a few years and 20 more countries here and 20 more countries there. Once again, without social media. (If you can't accept that Jordan did all this expanding on basketball, introducing it to other countries.. THEN YOU DON'T HAVE A VOICE IN THIS DEBATE. Back to basketball school. Try again once you completed MJ101)
This might sound funny to all the kids who didn't live it but, Hip Hop probably would have never been as big as it is today without Michael Jordan and basketball. Hip hop was invented in the 70's and wasn't viable as a genre until the later 80's and before anyone knew it hip hop and basketball were synonymous. I obviously don't credit MJ 100% with this notion, but to deny his presence in the making of what's now considered "basketball culture" is nothing short of folly.
Gatorade and Nike weren't powerhouse advertisment companies before MJ, and in a sense, Jordan changed that game too. Without social media.
The reaccurring theme here is that there was no social media to help in the exploits of the biggest superstar basketball had known. He was doing it on basic television channels before cable got to be a thing. One could argue that ESPN wouldn't be what it is today without Michael Jordan. He was and still remains more than just a basketball player. He's the catalyst.

As someone who has watched the entire careers of both there is no debate. LeQueen was given the best of everything from Jr High on and MJ just dominated everyone all the time with theatrics and flopping. Honestly the most memorable moment of NBA history was LeQueen being carried off the court from cramps when a rookie stole his game on both sides of the court against my beloved Spurs. Nope no debate in my mind

I don’t know if LeBron James deserves the #2 all-time spot, or if the late Kobe Bryant deserves the #2 all-time spot, or if Kareem Abdul-Jabar deserves the #2 all-time spot. All I know is that Michael Jordan is easily #1 ALL-TIME aka The GOAT aka the Greatest Basketball Player of All-Time. Number #1 All-Time is easy. Numbers #2, #3, and #4 are difficult to decide. I’m glad that Allen Iverson said what he said. Both Stephen A. Smith and Allen Iverson agree with Michael Jordan being The GOAT aka #1, but they disagree about who is #2 on the All-Time list!
