    HTC 10:
    -Less Bloated Software
    -Superior Audio Quality through Headphones and Speakers
    -Better Front Facing Camera
    -Likely to receive faster updates
    -UH OH Protection
    -USB Type C
    -Warranty covered Bootloader
    -Less fingerprints
    -Slightly less expensive than the S7 Edge
    Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 Edge
    -AMOLED Display
    -Bigger Battery (Edge)
    -More features in software (Edge Screen)
    -IP67 Water and Dust Resistance
    -Slightly better Rear Facing Camera
    Either way, both are awesome. I'd go HTC 10 personally.

      RedstoneWirez well would you like to have splash protection or no protection. I don't see why you would complain; most phones don't have water resistence. Not all phones are IP68 but at least having IP53 can give you some peace of mind if you get caught in heavy rain or you drop your phone in a puddle etc

    • @Torgeirihle
      @Torgeirihle 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Just offering some feedback, but I think the video was a bit overedited which gives the impression that it is trying too hard. Keep it simple like you always have, the sound effects don't add anything to the video in my opinion.
    Another great video regardless, keep up the good work!

      To add to this, the pop-ups of stupid things like rabbits and hats are distracting from he overall experience. I'm not sure how to say this, but it seems like an immature way to edit video.

  • @joshq7380

    I have an S7 Edge and I think you can't go wrong with either phone.
    It just comes down to the little details on what you want from a smartphone.
    I chose the S7 edge because of the water resistance (since I killed my old One M8 in the sink) and I also think the resale value will be a lot better for the S7 edge when I decide to upgrade down the track.

  • @Screenbones
    @Screenbones 8 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    Honestly, I would pick the S7 Edge just because of it's superior screen and camera. Plus, the edge.

    • @jon4lakers

      ***** I assume, from what people say. I honestly have not had a Samsung Galaxy phone, the most I have is an LG Leon, and the camera is horrible especially compared to my Mom's iPhone, and the screen is horrible compared to literally everyone else's phones I've seen.
      It wasn't a good choice for me. I'm stuck with it for the next couple of months too :P

    The HTC 10 if you want OIS on front camera, better software and faster software updates,24 bit DAC, better speakers, little to no bloatware, USB with 3.0 and adoptable storage
    S7 edge for Better battery, better camera, waterproof, better display, fast wireless charging, and gear VR

      Battery - portable charger solves this (at least for me)
      Camera - one may have a slight edge, but idc really. I have a Canon if I need fancy pictures.
      Waterproof - lol.

    What do you guys think about mentioning how durable the phones are? I think something people I know do allot is buy a case or break their screens. And some phones tend to have broken screens less. Maybe commenting about this feature of phones would be a cool comment. You may only get one so you could reference a drop test video or ask for 2 and try dropping on on its corner or side or something.

    I would like to pick up the HTC 10 but the camera and display seem sub par especially compared to the GS7. Coming from the LG G4, would it be an upgrade in the camera and display if I got the HTC 10? Is the HTC 10's camera better than the G4? Is the HTC 10's display better than the G4's?

    • @JeremyAmbroze
      @JeremyAmbroze 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +3165dwayne I don't doubt the G5 camera is capable. In my eyes, it's on par with the GS7. But the modular design of the G5 and it's smaller battery turn me off. I'm just having a hard time trusting the HTC 10 camera.

      +Dante Bradley yeah i agree with you totally. I still have the htc M8 and the battery is all over the place. One day it will barely last me 6 hours then another day it barely uses any battery no matter how i use it.

    • @DonnKnee
      @DonnKnee 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dave That's what a couple reviewers have said about the HTC 10. Its worrying. I don't want to dog in my pocket and pull out a dead phone. My Moto X typically gets me 4 to 4.5 hours of screen on time on 9 hour days. Its not bass but is not enough. I need the phone replacing it to be a lot better. All day preferably.

    • @DonnKnee
      @DonnKnee 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      kotan80 I have an S6. Didn't see much change to buy the S7. I typically don't buy from 2 OEMs 2 years in a row. I've never owned an LG device, but the G5 seems like a beta product. I'm not a fan of Samsung's software and late updates and locked bootloaders so I won't be buying their phones this year.

      If you want a waterproof phone, with the best display, best camera, intuitive software, excellent battery life, and a nicely designed phone, then go with the S7...
      Otherwise pick the latter

      intuitive software?...LOL...if you want copycat phone, go to S7....best camera, go to G5....Design is subjective....want fragile but expensive, go to S7.....if you ar apple user, but want to change android, go to HTC 10, it support Airplay...if you always abroad, go to HTC 10, it support wifi calling any where. if you always shooting pict in low light go for S7.

      Fairuz Azhar Zainal Abidin copycat phone? In what way exactly? If you want innovation, then the answer is Samsung.
      "Copycat" lol, it doesn't get any more awful than how HTC decided to copy Apple with their A9, meanwhile Samsung is always ahead of the curve. Tell me another phone that has dual Edge SuperAmoled display that is unmatched compared to its compatitors.
      "Oh, but we have excellent speakers"- yawn! Any Bluetooth speaker can outclass the speaker on the 10

    • @apaimcguire86
      @apaimcguire86 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Htc is using that antenna for almost 3 years, is iphone who copy htc. Unibody and glass body at samsung is Iphone original idea. Waterproof is Sony idea. Even S7 is not good if using samsung ISOCELL camera sensor, thats why samsung r depending on sony camera sensor. Better buy Iphone, the software is reliable than lagging samy. First phone wireless charging is invent by LG. the only original samsung idea is AMOLED screen and camera lens. Even LG have more innovation with modular.

    The amount of supposed appreciation for htc 10 isn't converting in sales for the phone. It's easy to side but when you go to buy a phone at this price, you want the best, only the best. I have been doubtful about the S7 edge until I actually used it. That curved edge might not add a lot of functionality but the using it is mindblowingly awesome. The phone just feels so smooth and works really effortlessly. I now know that reviews on TH-cam and comparing the phones after seeing them yourselves are very different things.

      thematrixx81 Hey, this is coming from someone who switched a few days ago from an M8 to an S7 edge. I can't definitively say which would suit you better, since both are great. Both have good displays (although samsung has a better one) and battery. What I can say for sure I really miss the speaker experience. The speaker on the S7 edge is just kind of bad. It's tinny and can be muted by holding it in a way that puts your finger near it. I love the S7 edge because everything else is so good, but that's something to keep in mind. The S7 line is also kind of like jewelry, it looks really pretty, but is very fragile. My M8 survived probably hundreds of drops with only a few dings on the metal and no cracks. I'm pretty sure the 10 is more sturdy too. Plus if you do drop it you can replace it for free. Since both are so good, it's almost a coin flip between them. Hope this wall of text helped.

      Yeah, please don't call me a fanboy when your only arguments for the 10 are better selfie stabilisation and better audio out of the phone. Selfie stabilisation probably doesn't work on snapchat, so it's useless for me + I use a bluetooth headset, so audio output being better on the 10 is not really important most of the time (also you probably don't even notice the difference with regular earpieces). And yeah, boomsound is nice, great... you got 1 argument agains't the s7 ! *claps*

      HTC 10. You'll appreciate the smoother day-to-day operation of it, (better software). Pair that up with better audio, WAY better build quality (check drop test videos), and USB type C. I currently have the Galaxy S6, it's a GREAT phone, but after a year of having it, I'm longing for a smoother operating device. Before this I had an iphone. Good device but boring af. I prefer android, but I don't want to compromise on fluidity. I feel that HTC brings fluidity where Samsung just doesn't.

      Well first of all there is no phone you can buy that would be decent for two years except the LG g5, because you can replace the battery and it's really easy to fix. But if I were you I would get the htc over the Galaxy s7. Unless you're keeping it for two years, then get the g5. Oh and Samsungs display is overrated it's way too over saturated and isn't very color accurate. I hope this comment helped

    I'm glad to see an unbiased review ! Alot of people go for iPhone or Samsung with them being the big marketeers. But to be honest HTC has led the phone market into alot of what you find on a phone today. HTC has done it all first, All metal body and antenna bands, 5MP front cameras, live photos, (wow did I just describe changes found on the iPhone 6 lol) hi-res audio with powerful amps and dacs, Dual front speakers, dual camera sensors, first phone with touch response below 50ms, first phone to feature 4G, first phone to feature 1080p display, the first to opt for a lower resolution camera with larger pixels, the list goes on, . HTC is like having the best of both iPhone and Samsung rolled into one phone ! personally Samsung does well but they have yet to correct their infamous past for coming packed with bloatware and pointless features that compromise phone performance, usually showing up after a few months of use, while HTC's performance is consistent over years of use. I have yet to find a more reliable phone...

    I agree with your stand point in the HTC 10 though we still have to wait for the phone to be available for the public to get their hands on the device. I picked the S7 edge over the G5 and the 10, because of:
    1- Samsung pay (which I love and I use all day long)
    2- waterproofing (always peace of mind and cool feature to have)
    3- accessories availability (I had the G4 and HTC before and I was struggling with accessories)

    I'm saying no to HTC FOR NOW.. I've had the m7 and it was good for what it's worth. It got slow and slower after about 3 years. I just restored the phone to factory condition and it seems to be fast again.
    The camera had a purple screen of death which a lot of us are familiary with. But got a free replacement since it had a 1 yr warranty. The camera kind of over did it with the bloom effect. Like white things appeared to be super white which it wasn't.
    Took forever to focus
    I just upgraded to the s7 edge and nothing to complain YET.. I'll have to wait 3+ years lol. I heard HTC is easier to root which is a deal breaker. Root can completely change a phone and Samsung made it annoying/hard to root their phones.
    If I were to start over, I would have still gotten the HTC. But it was my very first smartphone so I had nothing to compare it to at the time.
    You won't know what you like till you try both. Right now I'm doing s7 and after the s7, I will know forsure which phone I like better. All I know is, iPhone is not for me, for obvious reasons.
    EDIT: Also HTC 10 doesn't have RGB notification light in the front. Something I was looking forward to on the m7 and found out it didn't have it LOL.

    Hey man. I have the HTC M7. I got it in 2013. I had to replace the original because some chocolate got into the front speakers Christmas 2014. I have been impressed with the phone up til the time that the replacement that they sent me started to run hot every time i'm on the internet or the battery life drains quickly because I'm on the internet. Is battery life and heat problems a known problem with HTC brand. Does SAMSUNG have that problem? Every time I text now there is a 3-5 second delay on my HTC when the word is spelled out. Now the speakers aren't that loud. I'm starting to think that its time to get a new phone. I tend to be an active person: swimming, running, sweating, walking, multitasking, jumping, etc. Im also a teacher so I tend to spend time on my phone when the little brats are doing their work. I go to school at night also and I look up school info on my phone. The M7 was my first smart phone. I like the brand but how does HTC M10 stack up to the new S7? EDGE? I really wish HTC would have made their M10 water resistant as well.

    why the hell didn't they center it on the bottom of the bezel?
    It just looks...off. The phone isn't super huge either so sensor accessibility isn't an excuse.

    Always Agree!!
    Htc 10 has reallly did "great" overhaul changes as compare to last year htc phones...
    And Quality is always comes from Htc...From every nook and corner!
    Samsung's Touchwiz still needs a lot to develop, still looks Cartoonish, still feels cranky...need a lot of Style in it with simplicity

    You might want to mention that HTC uh-oh is ONLY in USA. For everyone else, not only is that perk not included, but it's also more expensive (even after exchange)
    HTC pretty much considers customers outside the US tier - 2.

    I chose the htc 10 because it offers features i care more for like better audio with high end in ears and the adoptable storage is something everybody wants.
    Clear the s7 edge is a cracking phone tho but people put way too much weight in the camera comparison even tho its rarely used im pretty sure people listen to music more than take pics but because they dont SEE the difference in quality they dont give it any real weight on the comparison.
    Great fingerprint sensor on the 10 aswell. Not sure how it compares to the s7 but its the first ive used that is no bother to use. The s6 sensor was rubbish

    removing the redundant apps is one of the best things HTC has done among all the manufacturers...more brands should follw this...especially SAMSUNG...
