if ted didn't pay the irss and they investigated skyler maybe walt would also be investigated for sudden enrichment and found out about meth manufacturing. So she was protecting her family!
The car wash can't be audited, that's why Skyler needs Ted to pay the IRS. She even said it a couple ot times. And I completey disagree on Hank suspecting Walt. Walt is his blind spot and the way I see it, he is completely oblivious. Walt interferred with Gus's plans when he told Saul to warn the DEA about Hank and Gus was very clear about the consequences that would have.
Well Walt's reaction would be an overreaction if the only people he cared about were his immediate family (Wife/Son/Daughter), because yeah, if he gives up Gus might not harm them...But he'll kill Hank. That's the dilemma... If Walt does nothing Gus will kill Hank, but if Walt tries to stop Gus from killing Hank, then Gus will murder his family. So there's no winning move here, other than what he tried (save hank by tipping the DEA about the hit, and leave with his entire family). About Skyler, yes the problem happened because she did something, but there's no going back in time; From her perspective, it's done it's done, and all she could do to save the IRS from looking into their stuff, was to have Ted pay them.
After you finish all seasons, you should check out the extras and commentary. They did mention they got lucky with the clouds in the desert scene. Also, Walt's panic was because he HAD to act after the threat. He was boxed in by Gus. If he did nothing and walked away Gus would kill Hank. So he had to protect him. Gus was going after his family either way. When the show first came out, there was a large contingent that absolutely hated Skyler. I believe Anna Gun even had some fans of Walt being rude to her on the street.
I never hated Skyler, she made some mistakes but her actions are totally understandable given the difficult position she was in. The real life haters are so dumb
Just shows you how stupid some people are. They're like in that episode of Friends that Brooke Shields was in - thinking that actors are their characters. Hilarious but also dangerous.
I see why some people can think Hank secretly suspects Walt or at least why he should, but keep in mind we as the audience have an entirely different view of Walt than Hank does. We have seen what he is capable of, but to Hank, Walt is a just a meek high school chemistry teacher struggling with cancer and a gambling addiction. Back in season one or two, he was in completed disbelief that Walt would even smoke pot, so I highly doubt he would consider him to be capable of something so much worse. So while it’s obvious to us why Walt crashed the car, Hank is much more likely to think “he just had a brain fart” than “hmm maybe he did that on purpose to keep me from going there.” And Walt’s nervousness is easily explained because Hank would definitely expect Walt to be nervous about helping him secretly investigate someone he believes is a dangerous criminal, even though we know the real reason he is so nervous. What is interesting to think about though is that if Hank didn’t know Walt personally, I feel like Walt would have probably been a suspect pretty early on in the show. The fact that the equipment used to cook in the RV came from his high school chemistry lab and his expert knowledge of chemistry would have been very suspicious and probably prompted further investigation given that the meth was the purest they have seen. That plus his connection with Jesse, the second cell phone, sudden infusion of cash, etc would all make someone connect the dots at some point, but Hank is incapable of seeing Walt as a criminal due to his personal relationship with him.
1) hank sees walt as pathetic, lesser then him. He only sees what we saw at the beginning. 2) if skyler didn't handle the irs thing with Ted her and walt could be caught when the irs checks them out. 3) walt was told " if you interfere I will.." and walt had every intention of interfering to try and save hank so he knew his life was on the line.. 4) love your reactions and indepth insight, I watch every episode with you.
Sadly, Skyler was right to give the money to Ted. You do NOT fuck with the IRS especially since Walt and her bought that car wash which is insanely suspicious - they would instantly find out about Walt and probably by extension, Gus. Also sadly, Walt was not overreacting at all. His choice was either to let basically his own brother get murdered in cold blood, at which point Skyler would 10000% tell Marie, Flynn and the police about Walt, or to interfere, like he did, and KNOW Gus would kill Skyler, Walt Jr and even his baby daughter. Gus was NOT bluffing. Walt put them all in that situation by cooking meth to begin with of course, and when he had the perfect out with Grey Matter, going right back into it because he was too proud to take ‘charity’.
Is Walt didn't react like he did, Hank would've been killed. Gus was going to have Hank killed whether Walt backed off or not. That's why he reacted, he knew he had to save Hank's life but by doing so he was directly going against what Gus just said to him. So no I wouldn't say he was overreacting
First time watching, EVERYBODY was wondering if Hank knew and was baiting Walt. But the viewer kept wavering back and forth, "he knows!", "no he doesn't!" It's a testament to the brilliance of the acting because the small nuances of behaviour are so subtle, you just don't know one way or the other. I do believe it was an intentional ploy by the writers to keep the audience on edge. They were lucky to have such actors who understood the intricacies of the plot so well. Also, at this point it doesn't matter what Ted knows. He's writing that fncking cheque to cover Skyler's butt, end of story. But I guess problem solved anyway, since the cheque is sent and TED IS DED.
You hating on Skyler? Come on man, you're better than that. I mean yes, obviously she isn't perfect, but no one is. I touched a bit on this situation in the previous video. I really don't think she's the one to blame for the whole situation. And goig with a laser tag or whatever instead of carwash wouldn't change much in this situation. They still would've laundered their money and the whole Ted situation would've not been much different. Now, as I said, maybe going silently about this wasn't the best choice, but let's remember she made both plans (money from fake aunt and then forcing Ted to pay to irs) with Saul. Those weren't bad plans, it's just...well, Ted's an idiot. If we want to track things down and see where and how it all started - it surely wasn't Skyler. Let's be honest, ever since Walt went on a criminal path, we knew this won't end well. And along the way there were plenty of situations in n which different characters fuck.d up or made bad decisions. That's just talking broadly. Well I'm trying to say is I think all the hate that Skyler gets from a large portion of the fanbase is ridiculous and kinda sad. Not liking some characters is fair, but hate? That's one of the best things about BrBa (and BCS) - the characters: real and flawed, like all humans.
I dont hate her hahhahhah just sometimes pisses me off hahaaha but so do a lot of charcaters in this show. Like you said all human 😁 a lot of these are pre recorded as well hahah so im reading all the skyler comments. Also all my friends have hammered down the skyler hate on me 🤣 they never liked her but I totally sympathize with her situation
Exactly! when I first watched breaking bad I was honestly shocked that some fans hated Skyler. Unlike Walt, Skyler actually did everything for her family. And she made the most logical decisions to protect them. Its insane how people hate her
Another brilliant episode, Jesse finding out the Doc in Mexico has all his blood ready should he have needed it. Of course we have the annoying Ted giving Skylar a cheque knowing full well she can't cash it and he will of course not pay the Revenue. Some great acting from Anna Gunn here. Fring visiting Hector in the care home for his ultimate revenge with Don Eladio's jewelry and naming out what sound like a World Cup football team of Salamanca names. When he turns Hector to Jesse we see Hector fuming with anger through his disability. Hank has of course made the link with Madrigal ( great foreshadowing here ) and Walt doing everything to get him off the trail. We have Walt doing the deliberate U-Turn to stop Hank causing the crash. Funny when Skylar says your 'Hardy Boys routine is over' older people will get the reference with The Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew. Skylar really getting in the jist of how things work now with Saul calling in the boys to go to work on Ted. Huell Babineaux is one of the great peripheral characters in both Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. Ted making a run for it is quite funny even though he gets a serious injury always tripping over rugs! Walt realising someone has been cooking in the lab a great scene, Tyrus of course putting Walt in dirty laundry as well. Another brilliant piece of cinematography in the desert again with Fring telling Walt he is finished, but Walt telling Fring Jesse wont cook for him if he kills him a great scene. Fring tells Walt straight out he will kill his family if he interferes. The 'A-Team' give some light relief when they say to Saul at least the cheque is in the mail. Walt now is of course panicking, and asking to get Saul to set up 'the disappearance' we of course have the irony of Skylar giving Ted their cash. Walt breaking down with demented laughter and Marie on the phone at same time is just crazy. Wow are we in for two absolutely brilliant final two episodes.
17:35 I can't wait to watch your reaction to episode 8 from season 5!!! 😅😂 You're overestimating Hank's intelligence WAAAAY too much 😅 He's smart, but not that smart. He's not Gus' level of smart. Fring's only weakness was his thirst for revenge, as seen at the end of this season. But he's incredibly astute and one or two steps ahead of everyone.
if ted didn't pay the irss and they investigated skyler maybe walt would also be investigated for sudden enrichment and found out about meth manufacturing. So she was protecting her family!
Walt IS interefering by trying to save Hank. so no he isn't overreacting.

I believe that this may be the best episode ending ever filmed. The tension set up in the staging, Walt's laughter and the music all bring chills.
I see why some people can think Hank secretly suspects Walt or at least why he should, but keep in mind we as the audience have an entirely different view of Walt than Hank does. wait until scenes end to talk about them at length lol
Walt isn’t overreacting, he can’t let hank die. Or his wife and family..
And it kept getting better, never stopped, still don't know how they did it
Gusses threat meant he’s now going to kill Hank and Walt can’t sit down and let him kill Hank so he has to leave because he’s interfering
That ending scene literally gives me chills EVERY TIME. This show is crazy good
the cloud in the desert casting a shadow when walt gives his speech was actually planned and added in with special effects

youve been hella dense these last few episodes concerning the walt vs gus thing. walt is absolutely NOT overreacting.

Wow, you are way ahead compared to what I am used to. You must be struggling to hold back with this very addictive show.
i have watched up to 5x3 I am very struggling hahahaha. Hope the reactions are good!
@eliemoses The reactions are top notch!
bro muted the best part

I don’t think Hank ever suspected Walt. I won’t say more as you haven’t gotten there yet.
I totally disagree with you regarding your dislike of Skyler. C'mon man!!
gotta love bill burr
