During the phone call between Hank & Maria: “I’ve got this bad feeling in my stomach right now, I don’t know why.” Maybe because subconsciously you remembered the last time We saw Hank call Maria and tell her that, despite the hard times ahead, he thinks in the end everything’s gonna be OK, and what happened immediately after he hung up the phone then.
Best part of this video came at the very end: "F**k this assignment, I'm watching the next episode!" 🤣 I hope you ended up doing ok with your assignment!
Walt should have known he couldn't trust those guys and warned Hank he would either need backup or get the hell out of there as fast as possible. I'm thinking a part of him wanted those guys to show up.
he called them because of jesse and tried to call them off once hank showed up, i think the entire reason he called them in the first place was out of panic tbf
Also, Walt at this point probably still has his “because I say so” mentality, thinking what he says always goes. That’s probably why exactly he didn’t think to warn Hank, because he thought the thugs would instantly follow his orders. Boy, was Walt proven wrong yet again.
That car scene with Jesse calling Walt is honestly one of the most bittersweet scenes of the whole show! The line that hits me most is “I know you’re a lying, EVIL, scumbag. Manipulating people, messing with their heads.” The word “evil” can sometimes be used in a melodramatic way. But when it’s used with genuine intensity in a tense situation, it really lands home. It also especially hits doubly hard when it’s absolutely true, when a person is genuinely evil, and has proven it time after time. Walt’s poisoning of Brock might’ve been not only perhaps his worst crime, but it was also probably his biggest mistake, as that (along with all the abuse and manipulation he put Jesse through) was what turned Jesse against Walt for good, and lead the DEA and Jesse to each other.
"Yes, I didn't want any damage done to Hank or Gomey" 😬 There's such unbelievable tension at the end of this episode. It's one of those scenes where part of you is almost trying to will the scene to play out differently, like Hank says "screw it, we'll send a team to find the money later", and just throws Walt in the back and just books it to turn Walt in. Haven't watched the show in years and this ep got my heart rate up too.
Great episode, and I love the homage to the classic US show The A-Team at the end, where no-one hit anybody despite having Level 55 loadouts from Call of Duty. Wait, it wasn't a homage.......?
Think about this: A handful of skilled assassins who have been doing contract killings most of their lives. They have all the time in the world to aim at 2 targets that are completely exposed in the open and standing stil. And yet every single one of them misses on the first, second, third and even the fourth bullet…. Breaking Bad is an exquisite production at such a high level, and against the background of everything so far, this scene, as iconic as it is, feels quite inadequate to me.
Elie dont ask about Lydia, even more hated than Warren in Buffy The Vampire Slayer, but perhaps not more than Cigarette Smoking Man in The X-Files, the worse of them all. Todd of course is mentally unstable, and has a real thing for Lydia, two utterly despicable characters. When Walt rings Todd about the hit on Jesse, we see again Todd just accept it no questions asked. Hank turning up at to see Huell a great scene, telling Heull that Kuby has gone missing, and he is next on the chopping block. Walt now knows Uncle Jack wants him to continue cooking, this is grave danger for Walt. The way Brock looks at Walt a great scene even that kid knows Walt's a 'wrogun'. Andrea leaving the voicemail for Jesse, unbeknown of course what's going down, of course Hank has control of the phone. Then of course we got back to the mundane running of the car wash with Walt junior being trained up, then Saul coming in and getting instantly recognised by him. Jesse gets Walt caught cold saying the van Walt hired has GPS, and says he knows the location of the desert cash. They now have him tracked by GPS as per the phone call, and Walt is spilling the beans on himself, it's a great scene. Walt ringing Uncle Jack and the others means this is gonna get nasty. Walt telling them not to come, but we are of course not dealing with ordinary criminals with Todd, Jack and the others. Hank it seems has is revenge as Gomez slams on the cuffs, and he tells Walt his 'greedy ass' would come for the cash. When he reads him his rights, it just all seems to be going too well, even calling Marie to tell her they got him. Walt and Jesse of course helpless in the cars now as Jack and his gang turn up, a brief Mexican Standoff ensues then all hell break loose, and again we are left hanging. There are no more superlatives for this show.
You know I did not like Lydia the first time I watched the show, but then I realized she is more clever than we think. I think her anxiety shows all over her and that makes it seem like she is a pain in the... but she is actually pretty calculating.
After having watched everything in the Breaking Bad universe i have to say i believe there may be a plot hole in this episode. Or at least something to discuss once you've watched Better Call Saul up through a certain point.
Wether you like Jesse or not working with the police when you have committed crime n use em to protect you, you are a coward, if your a victim your a victim, a criminal who talk to the police is a coward
One of the most epic episodes of TV ever in history!

I cannot wait for your 5x14 reaction!!! Such a memorable episode
The reason I watch bb reactions is 5x14
Y'all can wait a week like in 2013
@@eliemoses I watched the show a few months ago 😭
Either way, eagerly awaiting that reaction!
Best part of this video came at the very end: "F**k this assignment, I'm watching the next episode!" 🤣 I hope you ended up doing ok with your assignment!
🤣🤣🤣
😂 It is so hard to not to binge this last season.

@@cocknose All he had to do was tell them he was mistaken, it was not Jesse. But, as usual, he just gave an order with no explanation.
Also, Walt at this point probably still has his “because I say so” mentality, thinking what he says always goes.

I never got past him letting Jane die. After that I didn't much care what happened to Walt, so I wrote him off fairly early.
I love how much Walt winds this guy up while Walt hypes me up with his evil plans
LOL at Lydia catching stray "fuck you"s
Jesse called it, Whatever you think its going to happen the exact oposite will with Walt
"you are the smartest guy I've ever met"
Please feel sorry for us people who had to wait a week between episodes lol x
I might make you guys wait a week too 🥶🥶🥶
It's not often I see anyone truly excited to find out that they and Walt think very much alike. Psycho. 🤣
Yeah, one does not simply stop watching after 5x13
"Yes, I didn't want any damage done to Hank or Gomey"
😬

How do you always know everything in advance! It’s amazing how many of your predictions are so accurate!
Lydia to me is early season 2 Walt. She’s there to juxtapose just how far into Heisenberg he’s devolved.
Yes thats her role
I kinda like Lydia, but that might because I like the actress. She was really good in Casanova with David Tennant.
I just started to cry right now

The last few episodes will go down as the best acting of the series. The cast definitely earns their pay. Enjoy the ride.
ooo early upload! ty Elie!😁

Indifferent to Lydia. Was way too invested in everyone else to care what she was up to.
