The fact that this is the architect we are seeing is evident in the incredible sculptural manipulations of space, movement, and light. I am not sure a designer would have been able to achieve the same extraordinary result. It was also lovely to hear how respectful the architect was of the home owners' input and preferences. It is a really remarkable shift from the exterior to the interior. Thank you for sharing this.
Amazed and delighted...yes! Love that they respected the exterior and its connection to the neighboring homes while changing the interior into something simple, beautiful, light-filled and functional.
Absolutely superb design, unique and bespoke without being bizarre or finicky. Truly one of the best transformations that I've seen on any interior design channel!
It seems that this home has garnered some polarizing responses. 🤭 I absolutely love this home! The staircase took my breath away, love the chevron flooring, too! The inside is clean, crisp and cohesive! Very unique and yet unassuming. Is it a traditional Tudor? Absolutely not! But it’s well done and I can see the craftsmanship is impeccable. I’m tired of seeing the same looks (white kitchen, white furniture, faux art on the walls 🙄 I love that they made it their own, bravo 👏🏽
Wow wow wow! This isn’t a design but more of a magic wand from how it was before. How could someone even imagine this from that. Stunning. A designer couldn’t have done this work but def an architect.
Very nice and unique interiors, with scandi vibes. The beautiful staircase and entrance hall felt more like Mediterranean, but it goes very well with Scandi; soft, simple and natural elements. Well done !
Love the outdoor update that kept Tudor style. Unfortunately, original interior was poorly designed too closed in and dark. This was a major transformation so bright and airy…stunning results
I am surprised that the owners were attracted to this Tudor home. The interior has some lovely elements but completely disconnected from the interior. The analogy of a jewel within a box does not translate well to homes. The exterior, interior, landscaping seem to work best for me when they speak to each other. There are some many Scandinavian styled homes on the market and this would have suited them better.
Thats the beauty of owning your own home and having the money to turn it into ANYTHING you want. Theyre choice was to stay in the location that suited THEM not some random strangers from youtube.
Yes exactly! The concept of jewel box should be the opposite, you have simple facade outside but when you open it, there's a culturally rich Tudor style interior inside
So calm and interesting!! The stairs!!!! WOW. Are they finished with drywall? They are fabulous while remaining understated. Such an unexpected, pleasant surprise!!
Beautiful. I wish we could have seen more of the primary bedroom, closet, etc. Generally, the video showed very little & that, quickly. Kudos to designer, though.
The staircase is a star of this remodel. The aquarium office - ??? Also wonder about the acoustics in heavily paneled bathroom. Oh, the dining area rug is ❤goals
It's always interesting to me when people say that homes like this are void of personality because they're too minimal and lack color. I see so much personality in this home and to me it speaks volumes. As far as warmth, some people actually crave coolness and openness. I much prefer to be in a light, open uncluttered space without too much "warmth." It energizes me and makes me feel a certain freshness.
The original design was so pokey and badly designed. The makeover is a breath of fresh air. That staircase is stunning. Such a light filled serene home.
Very well designed. The opened space makes it very inviting. Would very much appreciate it if you can give the area of the houses that you showcase. 👍🏼
I understand everything was done to the taste of the clients but it is totally lifeless, you can't pick up on anything of their character or personality. not one painting not one splash of color... everything is very "generic"... this can be absolutely anybody's house
The Scandinavian design is well done but i must admit that i will disappointed if as a buyer I visited a Tudor house and there is no more any cachet of Tudor home.
It is an attempt, but it looks cheap. Minimalism is very expensive because every small detail should be very precise. Aquarium office should have tinted glass not clear ones. Open shelves is the easiest solution but a bad solution. Baseboards should not be there, only reavels and that ia another reason why minimalism is expensive. Walls should have decorative plastering like microcement. Bedroom is absolutely terrible like for the student. Kitchen does not look finished. Tiles should go up to the ceiling, the same about island. That is why it looks cheap. Not mentioning bathroom. Also looks cheap. Probably the staircase ate the whole budget. Still not an excuse.
Ugh. Why do people buy historical homes when their preference is ultra modern? This redesign is meh. It lacks warmth, depth, charm and failed to honor the heritage of the home.
The Staircase is Stunning

The staircase is one art piece. Love it. ❤
Wow! This was a testament as to why people hire designers! Beautiful!
Cold & Institutional looking.
Lacking warmth & coziness a welcoming home should possess.
Beautiful renovation with contemporary clean lines..
This design was well executed. Just stunning
This staircase is true art. Incredible transformation!
Incredibly well done! Great vision. Perfectly paired designer and client.
Congratulations! It is a project well done. I love it

The architect did a very good work to give a a vibe of a grand scandinavian nature , while keeping the the scale of this small Tudor house.
Stunning & Dreamy!
Amazing transformation, I love it!

I also would have wanted to update the interior, but they removed ALL nods to what the house is. And the lack of color makes me sad.
Beautiful.
Stunning! Great work.
You SLAYED this one!!! Amazing transformation!!
Amazing result. Great concept. 🧡🧡
Beautiful

Everyone has different likes and designs. It's ok
how do you keep the rail of the stair clean? special coating?
Not sure if the interior suits the exterior. Beautiful inside.
Exterior is horrid. The house is now Tudor-bethan/Scandi. 😂😂😂
The original design was so pokey and badly designed. The makeover is a breath of fresh air. That staircase is stunning. Such a light filled serene home.
Beautiful home but I agree pretty sterile needs more textures especially soft ones
curved plaster stairs are such a vibe
Very well designed. The opened space makes it very inviting.
Would very much appreciate it if you can give the area of the houses that you showcase. 👍🏼
Love the original Tudor exterior, such a shame the inside is so souless now 😢
Don't care for the closed up stair case. But I love the black trim glass door

Quite the transformation. A huge amount of work went into this. Too sterile for me, though.
I love minimalism, but some areas in this house look like a bland stark museum room
Architecturally this is stunning! However the interior and color pallet is bland and lacks personality! It's great for show but feels sterile to me!
Thats called scadinavian style!

Bedroom looks like a dorm.
who else always skips square space?
That stair wall is going to get filthy without a bannister of some sort. Design over function. Fabulous job though. So smart!
all the charm of a tudor house is gone - it looks like a spaceship. people should restrain themselves with scandinavian designs
I would have kept with an updated beautiful Tudor style instead of going with something trendy.
Did you listen to any of the reasons as to why they changed it?
Lifeless, cold, and empty.
And ugly
Minimalist house
