I love how the kitchen has separate spaces for food prep and for people to sit and enjoy a conversation. The kitchen gives the cook enough space to prep and cook food without the audience talking over the food or getting in the way. I love the concept of an open kitchen... But I also enjoy having that separation from my guests while I am cooking.
This designer, Nicole, has an absolutely wonderful relaxed presentation style that is most enjoyable to see and hear. And the design and build of the project turned out really great!
Now that looks like a house that’s lived in! Refreshing to see family heirlooms being used. The design is exceptional as is the choice of finishes. Hiring a designer for such a huge renovation is definitely a must. They add such value.
Impressive, how you were able to create all these spaces within the original footprint of the home...including living areas for the adults and the children, and giving the kids their own rooms and a really stunning bathroom. Great job!
A brick looking floor in the mud room would have looked even better I think. What a fabulous renovation. For me, there is a bit too much brass/gold, but still gorgeous. Thanks for such a fab tour.
@0:49, I like a house with a proper entry and that colour lends the space gravity and depth. I find that a wall prevents people from seeing the sink and dishes. Bored to tears by open plan. The children's bedrooms look like mini meditation zones. Where is the element of chaos and fun? Love the doors to the laundry space. As usual, there is an awful lot of pale colours to keep clean. This is not so onerous when there are only adults, but with a dog and children, I don't think so.
It’s absolutely beautiful. We are redoing our whole basement, stripped to the concrete and restart from new. Our finition is was more HomeDepot grade… this whole house is probably around 500k reno. This is not the average family budget.
Cuts off the room from what precisely? I think what is paramount here is how the spaces make, or encourage the homeowners to feel, juxtaposed by how they look. .Nonetheless, the finished project utilizes the narrow proportions perfectly.
Totally disagree. I'm not sure what's being "cut off" exactly....especially since the darker color above the dining room paneling references the dark color of the kitchen island countertop.... both rooms are open to each other spatially and connected to each other visually so what are you talking about?? 🤔
I'd like to see how the hidden TV in the main bedroom works. Where & how is it hidden? We have a dilemma in my family room where I have a painting that I want it stay on top of the piano but my husband wants to have a TV there and I'd like to hide the TV behind the painting. So, I'd like to see the different ideas or ways to keep the vertical painting stay where it is now.
I guess the TV is the big center piece & is the Samsung Frame TV. It looks like a painting at the edges & you can project an art pic instead of the black screen.
Lovely home. I don't understand why the wall panelling was done the way it was done in the dining room. It's looks odd especially with the two different paint colours
Hmm I don’t know, the kitchen wall has been cut into 2 portion with upper dark and lower white which makes the wall seem lower and compressing. Why the led strip at the cabinet was not made recessed instead of protruding at the surface….is not aesthetic pleasing. And lastly why is the wine bottles column placed on top of a study desk? Convenient to drink wine when working at the desk? For my house I definitely won’t do like that
It is good that you did enclosed storage in the hallway. Kitchen is laid out in a smart way. There is lots of vertical storage and nor that much of countertop which eliminates clutter. But ceiling and ceiling lights are so outdated. Please start using linear LED or magnetic light tracks and stretched ceiling. Bedroom is blah, there is nothing there. Bathrooms - why people are saving on tiling. Tiles should go all over from floor to ceiling. Large format or microcement walls.

To me, this design is warm and cozy, yet quietly sophisticated 😍
Love the idea of the walnut inset to visually break up the row of cabinet storage in the kitchen and create some interest 👍

The puppy dog is always in the shot. What a ham!!!
This turned out gorgeous and cozy!
That’s what we used to call dogs back in the day puppy dog🤣👏🏾 so cute
Gorgeous reno, and you can tell the designer has a wonderful personality and that she’d be fun to work with.
Beautiful house, I like that it’s not whites on whiltes only, there’s a beautiful combination of colors and materials with white

Such an interesting layout but it works!

Wonderfully designed👍👍
I had to laugh when she put one hat in that cupboard. I guess the owners solved their space problems!
I want to know if the kitchen is more than 11 feet large because it seems narrow but so well done even with the island.
Gorgeous
Very impressive!
Where was the tv console purchased from @9:06 in the video?
Beautiful
Yes and yes. It's been awhile since I've been this impressed w smart and beautiful design. Well done!
Beautiful 😍💛
So beautiful 😍
I love it
Very nice
Perfect 👏🏻👏🏻
Can you share what material the black counter-stone is in the kitchen ?
Loved the tv room look , but isn’t the tv too high for comfortable viewing?
They might of done that because of children
Any chance to know where the dining table comes from? Which brand? It looks elegant.
they said it's "Grandma's dining table" so possibly an antique
The dining room wall panel makes the room look smaller and shorter. It cuts off the room. I do love the mud room and primary bathroom.
Cuts off the room from what precisely? I think what is paramount here is how the spaces make, or encourage the homeowners to feel, juxtaposed by how they look.
.Nonetheless, the finished project utilizes the narrow proportions perfectly.

Love that coffee table. Where can I find it?
We had it made from a slab of white oak
I'd like to see how the hidden TV in the main bedroom works. Where & how is it hidden?

@@jennlove8987 I found it in the description afterwards.
Thank you
Beautiful job! Great designing. Loving the buffet style table in the tween room. Can you link where it’s from? I didn’t see it in the shop the look.
Loved the main floor especially the kitchen with all the beautiful storage. The use of colour is beautiful. Bedrooms are too light for my taste.
Lovely home. I don't understand why the wall panelling was done the way it was done in the dining room. It's looks odd especially with the two different paint colours
I love everything of this house, much more colourful. Bt I dont like colour less homes.
nicee,,,,,

I think American and Canadian needs the word small differently, because that living room is not small it’s narrow.

Water must get on the floors in the kitchen sink all the time…
The huge dining room is a total waste of livable space.
This is so tastely done, I seriously could live there myself. Great job, and great taste! Thanks for sharing :)
Loved it! Great that the designer incorporated those vintage pieces ❤
Really lovely
Beautiful
