A complete walkthough of my Haines hunter 680 encore boat, i tell you whats good and whats no so good, running through the new yamaha 2022 300hp outboard, how fast does it go ?
a few yarns about how i find the haines hunter hull & the overall layout of the boat
We go through lithium battery upgrades, invertors, solar panels and even the on board coffee machine

For the flooring go for seadeck, haven't see eva decking before but id bet that seadeck uses better material because ive never seen any seadeck come apart like evadeck before

Just curious, I have the same boat with a 225hp Yamaha 2 stroke doing exact WOT speed with four solid blokes onboard… do you think maybe that boat with the 300hp is under performing for some reason? Nice video mate!
Yeah I think it’s around normal, others with the same setup are getting similar speeds, i mean when I had a 225 4stoke the top speed was around 35 knots, guess it’s how it’s propped
Aw by the way my wot speed is around 46 knots, in this video I think I only went 40 from memory

100lt an hour 40knts, for a single 300, surely that can't be right is it??
My old twin 200 verado's on my 7.4 glass boat do 108lts per hr combined with a full 480lt tank at 39knts ..
And thats pushing just under 3t, deeper deadrise too..
I would have thought that the newer outboards produced better economy than that..
Im surprised, think I'll keep my Verado's for a bit longer.
Hopefully as you run it in you get better economy 👍
Yeah that’s almost at full throttle with close to 600l of fuel, not the most economical rig at full noise, calm it down a bit and it’s not bad
Does the Furuno talk to the Simrad in marking fish?..

Hey mate I think it’s just a standard Haines hunter bait board that’s been slightly modded
Hey mate what speed does your fairing block read clear up to? I have a 680sf and im doing the same with mine now
With mine it really depends on the water conditions but on average 20 knots
Mint mate love it, how deep does the fairing block sit from the hull? I've made mine about 40mm deep not sure of its enough
Yeah with out measuring it I recon It would be about 40mm too

Yeah it’s just a standard Nespresso pod machine, 240v plugged into an inverter
