Gday, don’t have any more photos sorry, we just folded some colorbond and zinc sheet up in several pieces same as keel and strakes and riveted together. Was nothing special and had some timber straight edges screwed under hull to ensure it was straight. Cheers
Hi i just bought a 1996 trophy 2002 and thinking to install 200 yamaha 4t,i am afraid that will be overweight and water will comes inside on the deck from scuppers,do you think an extension of the hull with a bracket will help and lift the stern up?
@@Deepblue896 probably will work mate but I’d suggest you get advice from a professional boat builder or shipwright first as it’s very important to get it right. Mine works perfectly, but as it is a full continuation of the hull there is ample flotation. I don’t have self draining deck though
@@caseyspinks9810 i know is a risk but i like the way your boat looks with this extra length that changed complete the shape of the boat, very good job, cheers from Greece🇬🇷🍻
@@Deepblue896 thanks mate I am very happy with what I had done, quite expensive as over 300 hours of work plus materials but worth it if you have a good boat that you want to keep long term
@@EmbassyOfNeon hi mate, been very happy with the pro xs, I’ve done 500 hours now and average around 1.4 litres per km. Top speed 84 kmh. All the best with your project, cheers👍
Wow, pretty impressive work. the editing and music are great too. The old transom you cut out appeared to be still in good condition, was that the original transom or had it been done before? Be interested to know if you decided to put trim tabs on it, couldn't quite make it out. Also noticed but couldn't quite see, you'll probably need to upgrade the trailer braking system now, the old cable system and no break-away may potentially not be legal 😞
Hi mate. Yes original transom was still intact, not bad for a 34 year old Haines. No trim tabs, a fat deckie does the trick😂 yes, correct on the trailer, I extended the original as a temporary measure as I don’t tow far. One day an upgrade is in order. Thanks for your comments👍
Great footage of this resto of a serious classic boat, now improved to what looks like perfection. Congrats and keep all your fab videos coming.
Thanks Lars, has made a great boat of it. Cheers
The finish is top notch. Great work.
Absolute perfection. Well bloody done
Almost turned her into the old Haines 243 mate, nice.
One of their best hulls and rated highly by long range offshore fishermen 😊
very impressive thinking doing my Bayliner 1802 like that.
That is one of the biggest advantages fibreglass has over alloy.
Do you have any more photo's or video of the mould? Would live to see how ypu did the chines, cheers!

Great job mate

@casey who made the aluminium hardtop? Looks good
Hi Joe, thanks for the comment. I made the hardtop myself in alloy mate. Cheers
Hey mate, in the process of redoing this boat with my dad, wondering what speed and economy you get with the 225 on the back of it ? Cheers

Hi Casey, what was the layup of this?
Hi mate, not too sure, you’d have to ask my fibreglasser Paul, his number is at the end of the video👍

Can’t go past a north bank Casey, but nice work mate
Maybe, but for what this owes me is probably half that of the equivalent in a North Bank so I’m happy
