I totally agree with you. I'm amazed by the brilliance of these unlikely collaborations. I've got a radio show in Portland, OR and I play Bill's work along with that of some other mashup artists on TH-cam on it just about every show.

To me a good mashup isn't just ironic or weird to be weird, it's a peak into an alternate universe, where we realize musicians had skills and connections we never realized and collaborated to make some rad jams we never heard.

I can totally see Glenn Danzig being pissed about this. Bill, you are an absolute genius! These mashups are literally some of the best things I’ve ever seen on TH-cam. I can’t imagine the amount of work that goes into these. Plus usually what comes out is something that is better than the originals! Please keep up the incredible work!
Historically, times of crisis seem to be a catalyst for sharp increases in the production of masterpiece calibur works of art. Perhaps serving as a counterpoint to the ugliness of the state of the world; reminding people that, even in the worst of times, beauty still exists all around us. The embodiment of this concept in its highest form is often an artist's magnum opus. Something so beautiful one has no choice but to momentarily look away from the darkness to revel in the awe of being confronted with greatness.
That being said, during the dumpster fire that is 2020, it is particularly important to appreciate the privilege of being witness to one such artist in their prime. While the world is trembling at the knees, Bill McClintock is out here doing God's work, reminding us that we're more similar than we are different.

Fun Fact: Those are actually Danzig's sunglasses that Donna is wearing. The director asked him to let her borrow them for the shoot. "Glenn lent me his shades for the Bad Mother video because the director insisted that they matched my outfit. Unfortunately, I had a headache for 3 days afterwards because they were prescription."

I have fond childhood memories of waking early on Sat mornings,fixing myself a big bowl of cereal and planting myself on the living room floor to watch cartoons. At 10am, my 3 teenage sisters would commandeer the TV for American Bandstand, then Soul Train an hour later; I always stayed to watch with them as they danced along (never got good at dancing myself tho lol). Gave me a great appreciation for a wide variety of musical styles that continues to this day and made me want to play in bands years later. Grateful for those good times.
