  • Get a guided tour of the new Florida Biochar Facility with site manager, Ken Morrison. Learn how the innovative process works and the stages biomass goes through to become activated charcoal and eventually biochar. The added continuous feed system makes this especially efficient for adding biochar to revitalize life in soil on large farms/ranches.

Is this system solely for the farm or is the char produced for the market? I am in Florida and am very interested in sustainable farming.

how long is the burn time for the batch machine and the continuous machine? how many hours or minutes take from raw biomass to pure biochar? how much cost to purchase each of these machines? can either of these machines be made to be mobile (portable) such as on a trailer pull by a truck? look forward to hear from you soon.

Im very curious to hear how exactly the syn gas that is produced in the continuous feed system is separated from the char and doesn't leak out where the biochar is discharged.

Any body will help to make charcoal from natural wood and get charcoal for Bar B Q.
    Plus make syngas

Its actually just pyrilized charcoal. Biochar is pyrolized Activated Charcoal. Coals that get hit with water to crack open to walls and make more surface area for microbes in the charcoal. I actually love studying this process though.

I forgot a whole part of my comment, biochar is charcoal inoculated with compost and left to become *biochar*. The nutrients, water, microbes and fungi need time to migrate to this new host material.

We do not have blueprints available. We do have other videos showing how to make smaller scale designs. You can find some other info online as well. Best wishes building the scale you want.

There are lessons to be gained from the process exhibited here, first sight indicates this is a grant built operation. Government funds or trust funds are the drivers, it would be nice to see costs and return on investment.
