With my 5 years experience i can say that you have explained this field very well in this short video just an FYI that an event manager or planner works around 18 to 24 hrs everyday.

I had to plan a charity event for my current job. After it ended, I had a lot of compliments from colleagues saying that Event planning could be my thing. So it just got me curious about it.

I probably love this job... I'm 19 years old, and I know that this is not a common type of work, but I adore the concept to organize concerts or also events connected to festivals in general. So you helped me, now I have to make my decision.

My last recommendation would be to try to get some internships, volunteering opportunities, job shadowing days or even a job to get a true feeling of whether you really like it and see yourself doing this forever or not. Of course!! You can do whatever you want to do! My advice would be to define your "Why". Why you want to study something, why you want to prepare yourself for that field? Is it because you enjoy it? Because you want to have a business in it? Why! I have been told this so much and recommended the book start with why from Simon Sinek. Give it tey maybe it can help you🤗🤗

Hi louise, according to my research not always! You can also gather experience through the years, but i always think that good and relevant education is very valuable. I would recommend you to reach out to other event managers out there and ask them about their careers and how to start in the industry. Good luck!
Hello! I am researching event careers for a school project so I just want to ask what the difference between Event Managers and Event Planners is? Some sources say that they are a separate entities however other resources say they are the same.
Hi Pauleen, i believe it depends on the Event management school that you are studying, but usually event managers are the ones overseeing the event and managing all the staff and the planners are the ones coordinating and preparing the different aspects, planning and executing

You would have to do some research about the specific inmigration requirements of the countries you are interested in, unfortunately i do not have that info
How can i convince my parents that Im taking event management
Hi Devika, do your research, get to know yourself and convince yourself for that this is what you want to do. Think about your plan long term and present the pros and cons to your parents. I guess what i mean is you should show them that this is not a decision you made only with your heart but also thought about it and got informed and you spent your time considering it before you decided to move forward.

Hi Rajat, i imagine it is possible. My advice would be to get in linkedin and do some research of the positions offered and also research of the people already working in this area. What they do, where they are based, what the position is named there, what their roles are and so on. You can also contact people and ask them about their position. Check also if there are some online events that you can attend, it is always very helpful to get to know the different keywords used in other countries, the culture and so on. You can check eventbride.com or similar websites.
