- I FINALLY GOT TO CHECK OUT THE AMAZING OLD WOODEN THREE STORY HOME ON MY STREET IN CAGAYAN DE ORO... AND IT WAS FREAKING AWESOME!
This day starts with a little look at the new river boulevard. I was hanging out for father's day with my Filipino family in Cagayan de Oro, and took some time to go for a jog. It was so great seeing this new river boulevard opened in the city. What a game changer!! From there, I go for a walk in my Barangay, and grab a coffee at Bowerbird... a great home style outdoor coffee hangout!
And then I got to meet Mike...
WHAT A LEGEND THIS GUY IS!! Hanging out and chatting to him, getting a tour of his unique bike shop, and climbing up his three story wooden home... Just a great day!

Big Mike is astig kaayo! He is so ingenious with his inventions and his ability to fix and modify motorcycles. Loved how he makes people bow down to him, too. 🤣 When he told you about how his grandfather cut the lumber for the house using a two man saw, it reminded me of a joke that my former Filipina girlfriend's father used to tell where the saw was called a "come-to-you come-to-me." He he he! That always made me laugh as much as it did him.
The ingenuity of the Filipino to create amazing things with what is available is truly inspiring..

Kulas, my gransparents' house had the same dark wood, light wood alternating design. And the corner posts are round logs. Two floors, the ground floor are for storage like huge pots for fiestas, kabans, farm equipment, etc.

The bike shop should experiment building some custom Electric bikes and take them to shows. Wealthier working guy's have interest in E-Bikes that are faster and can go longer distances. Power to go up hills. Pedal and electric assistance.👍😎

And you lived in Justo Ramonal Street when you went in Cagayan De Oro.
And you buy a ginanggang or grilled banana cue near the BFP fire station in Cagayan De Oro 🚒🚒🚒
One of the parents of my classmates in Carmen Cagayan De Oro and the uncle of my student in Lourdes College in Macasandig Cagayan De Oro worked there 🚒🚒🚒
