This place is located in a forest area. It is recommended to visit this place in weekends so that you will have company. Yes it is safe for families.
It is a Cauvery river flowing in full swing. However, the bank side is relatively safe for everyone to enjoy the water. The authorities says it is not safe to go into the middle of the river because of the depth as well as the current of the river. So it is advisable to remain near the bank.

Sir is there any washroom facility? And should we take prior permission for cooking. . Pls guide.
Prior permission not required just have pay forest check post fee which is 100 per car, unfortunately no washroom facility was there...

Can you share coordinates? Can’t find on Google Maps.
First you have to put Dabbaguli Forest check post and then continue till shri Mahadeshwara swamy temple you will find the same temple.
And beware off the local cows and monkey's they will be away till your cooking finish, once you start eating they will start disturbing you a lot.
