I kept ignoring this movie for 5 days and even thought of removing it but then decide to just look at the beginning. I was hooked from the first second! Brilliantly done and executed film. I must step out of my box more often. Realizing lately that it has unexpectedly pleasant results 😊❤
I do that sometimes, then decide to take a look and end up being so glad I did! I have another wonderful movie you may be interested in if you enjoyed this one. It is called 'For All Time' (2000) starring Mark Harmon. Another beautiful movie.
I'm 68. I buried my daughter 2 years ago from cancer. Now my bf has 2 types. She visited me several times after she passed. This movie moved me. To tears at the end. Wonderful movie.
In what can be a very dark world, from time to time, a film such as this can shine a light and give new hope, well done to all those involved in the making of this film.
What's wrong with nudity? We're all the same when naked; made in God's image. We are born naked. Babies see their mothers naked breasts!!! Isn't that shocking? They see the nipples!! In fact breasts are exclusively for feeding babies, nothing else but feeding babies and people make them look dirty! People with dirty minds make them look like that. Sexual organs serve as tool for reproduction!! What's wrong with that? Woman showing an ankle in Victorian era was deemed immoral. 😊
The ending has me in tears, it's a shame we don't have more films like this, without gratuitous sex, violence and swearing. You don't need sex, violence and swearing to have a really good and enjoyable film, you just need good writing and actors. This film had all that.
Yeah, agreed. I'm only 36 bit don't like any contemporary stuff, I only watch old movies... I can't stand it then have to put identity politics, violence, drama, unkindness to make it more "exciting"
What a movie. WHAT a movie!! So sensitively and beautifully written, acted and directed. Brilliant cast. I'm so glad people are finding and treasuring "uncommercial" films like this. Thanks for the upload!
I'm 70 & I was really affected by this. It's true that the past comes alive at times at this age. Grandma says at one point what matters at the end of your life is whether you were loved or not. That's so true too. What are ghosts, why do they continue on for a time, sone of us can so easily accept them, see them, talk with them. I haven't but I can imagine it's so. 'There is more in heaven & Earth than is dreamt of in our philosophy.' Of course there are ghosts.
I have seen ghosts of those I loved most and complete strangers have seen them with me( the lady had the 'sight' and thought it was quite normal. It's a comfort that defies description .
A lovely film that touched m'y hart. I was very close to m'y grand mother and m'y father. I looked After m'y Nana UP to thé Time she passed away,Nana Lucie lived with us Always,M'y father was her son in lawand called her Maman, her husband died during WW2 leaving her with 5 children thé youngest still a baby. She spoke about m'y grand father with so much love .Thé night she passed away she told me she had Seen grand father hé was sitting AT thé foot of her bed and told her hé was coming to get her and that they would bé together again.Every morning she would make café in an Italian perculator After grinding thé beans.I had juste got married and was in m'y home and I told m'y husband I Can smell Nana's coffie and l Saw m'y grand father holding Nanas hand and she was youngest and smiling and she told me kiss your son for me he's got m'y eyes, I called thé hospital AT 7am and I told them m'y Nana had passed away, they Saïd they were juste going to call me to tell me she had passed away quietly and that she was smiling. Later that month I found out I was expecting. My son Alex was born on grandfathers birthday and hé had beutiful blue eyes and a mass of curly haïr down to his shoulders. I LOVE m'y Nana and I still smell her cofee from Time to Time💖
I had a second grade teacher who introduced me and my classmates to Lucie Boston books. This started in 1962; in a very small town in Texas. I later purchased the books for my daughter and son. My son’s class had a reading program and I showed his teachers these books were on the list. He later encouraged my son’s classmates to read them also. They were in the fourth grade and the Boston books ranked as 6 grade level. Our school had the original hardback copies I read as a child. My son’s teacher was delighted to share this wonderful series. I must add growing up in a hot dry dusty Texas town this gave me a taste for English literature ❤❤❤❤
I had this film on hold a few months back finally got down to watch . A beautiful cast made sadder with the passing of wonderful Dame Maggie Smith . RIP to true legend she’ll be missed our thoughts to her family. Thanks for posting this film 😢😘
I'd seen this movie before and I kept it in my DVR but I lost it. I tried to find it in you tube but they only showed a clip of some scenes. But now I found the whole movie and I'm so grateful. I love the story from the beginning through the end. I cried and smiled and I would never get tired to watch this movie. I believe in ghost. This is my favorite ghost story. Thank you You Tube.
I bought the DVD on eBay. TH-cam tends to play Grinch and remove movies all the time, which is why I got the DVD. Google isn't taking that away from me 😜
Just 10 min in and what a very delightful Quaint and wholesome movie! Intertwining the past and the present was perfectly done and captivating! Thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of it❤️
October 27th 2024 - what can I say. They knew how to write stories and make movies back in the day. So well melded together - CGI nope - just excellent camera and editing skills. Well done. Beautiful movie and yes I too had a tear at the end. ❤❤❤
Not too much and not too little. Quite the well presented storyline. A good folly fully formed, as it were. Sweetly ghosted by just enough romance and mystery. I enjoyed it very much. Thank you.
What a wonderful, wonderful movie. I`m 82 and have had my head in books my whole life. I`ve never heard of this Greene Knowe series. How disappointing to have missed them, as I am now losing my sight and can no longer read, Thank you Screen Blaze for uploading this film..
I really enjoyed that .. and yes, I sobbed at the end. Truth be told, I started crying from the part where the children died young within hours of each other... And the little church... Touching film ❤
How wonderful is this film; how beautiful the story. What treasures the family finds past and present. Bravo to the writers; bravo to the directors; bravo to the actors; bravo for uploading such a moving masterful journey.
This is a wonderful movie. I am happy to have been able to see this masterful story unfold on screen. From Time To Time is such an appropriately named title. Spirits moving from Dimension to Dimension in and out of time. It certainly does open a door to many possibilities. I honestly loved this movie. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.
What a beautiful and moving film. It reminded me in some ways of my favourite film from my childhood - The Amazing Mr. Blunden. I wish there were more films like this. I feel inspired to seek out the books now.
I thought the exact same thing. I believe the book version was called "Ghosts". It also reminded me of a Wonderful World of Disney movie from the 70s. I don't remember the name but it had a little girl ghost and missing jewels. This is such a great kids movie.
I remember that Disney film, but not the name. The ghost of the young girl used a French accent to speak to Alexander, the live boy whom she appeared to throughout the film. Quite charming.
'The Amazing Mr. Blunden' was one of my favourite films, as a child, too. It's now available on You Tube. I also love 'Somewhere in Time' with Jane Seymour and Christopher Reeve
This movie was... perfection. It's like an old book, come to life. I loved books like this when I was a little girl (I'm now 60). It was perfect, from start to finish... Thank you so much for posting this.
Hugh Bonneville, Maggie Smith, Allen Leach, David Robb (Dr. Clarkson in .D.A, Lord Farrar in this movie at about 1:00:09 and 1:00:16), Christine Lohr(Mrs. Bird in D.A., Mrs. Robbins in this movie at about 45:22) ETA Daisy Lewis(who plays the 1700’s kitchen maid who notices 1940’s Tolly) also played Miss Sara Bunting in D.A. Thank you janwheeler! ETA (7th D.A. actor) Harriet Walker(Lady Shackleton) who is in the dinner scene just before the announcement about the house being on fire
During the dinner scene, just prior to the announcement of the fire, at about 1:04:15, there is a lady with dark hair. Did this actress play in D.A. too, playing a gossipy role there also? Her name is Harriet Walter. In D.A., she played Lady Shackleton(Henry Talbot’s aunt) who was a friend of the Dowager Countess(Maggie Smith’s character) ETA the first kitchen maid from the 1700’s is played by Daisy Lewis. She acted as Miss Sara Bunting in D.A. Thank you janwheeler!
What a beautiful movie and so skillfully done. Magnificent cast, and how could it be anything less with Maggie as the 'Anchor'! Should be far better known.
Spectacular! I was captivated the entire time, this wasn't just a twist on so many other, purely original script. I love this movie, the cinematography was brilliant and the acting, well... Maggie and Hugh, it goes without saying, they never out stage making the supporting casts melt seamlessly into a wonderful performance. This is a movie to be enjoyed over and over.
I watched this movie years ago. Have been trying to find it ever since. Glad I caught it here. It is such a timeless story - so well written and played. Tear jerker for sure…..
This is such a gem. I find it so hard to get lost in rich story written movies these days because they are far and few between. Lots of click bait- make a fast buck movies. Thank you for featuring this beautiful story.
This movie takes me back to when I lost my own father. It brought back memories of being that age when I learned of my father's passing. And besides the sadness of that loss, good memories came along with it. Lovely, powerful movie.
Thank you for posting this movie. It's long been a favorite of mine, and you can't find it anywhere on any of the movie channels that I know of. And for anybody reading the comments BEFORE you watch, Go ahead, settle in and enjoy it, you'll find it interesting and enjoyable.
As always tears flow down these cheeks of mine❤ I needed this! Mr Fellows does it again with the softness of reality and the past.. I wish my David would pop in an out as I truly believe !! Dame Maggie always captures my heart .. We need more of this in our lives, allows us to forget the world and how it has become 🥲🙏🏻
I am 69 yo. Regardless of the number of times I have watched this movie, it gets better every time. I always have the same reaction at the end: needing a box of Kleenex to wipe away the tears. Wouldn't you like to know more about the handyman? Is one of those who will never leave the house? What a difference between this character and the one from Harry Potter. Dame Maggie Smith always adds a touch of class. It's odd to see 2 actors, Dame Maggie Smith and Timothy Spall from Harry Potter, together but wonderful. Also, even though dealing with death, it shows the importance of life and not fearing death. Plus no woke/no foul language. Just an insightful way to remind you that you never know what words may be the last . Let those words be "I love you ".
I was very excited when I first found this movie. Growing up before cable TV, we were limited to the offerings of only 3 television stations. It wasn't until Harry Potter movies that I came to learn of the many talented actors from the UK and other European countries. I really like watching the same cast in various movies and, now, TV reruns. Timothy Spall, Maggie Smith, and so many others. This movie is a wonderful coming of age during the war. Absolutely well done.
Relief to see a story with real people. Even the ghosts. I stumbled on this and couldn’t stop watching. It leaves you with joy and hope. Only the brits can make gems like this.
Over the years, I have watched this movie "time" and "time" again and never grow tired of watching it. One of my all time favorites next to the Harry Potter series.
This was my first time and it was absolutely enchanting, I kept hoping to the end that Dad would be wounded but alright and that Jacob and Susan would live long and happy lives... but life rarely gives what we'd like, but it does teach us the grace of acceptance.
One movie is pure and innocent. The other is influenced by the demonic realm. Cannot understand why your swing from one end of the spectrum to the other.
@carolcole570 It's called entertainment. Regardless of "demonic realm," it's a good movie. I am a Christian, and I'm not going to stop reading my Bible because of the mention of Demons, Satan, and all sorts of evil.
@@larrygamble8293 That is your choice, Larry. As for me, as a Christian, I try to guard my mind against anything that leans towards the demonic realm. Having seen demonic influence waaaaay too close for comfort, I want to always stay clear of it. It is extremely easy for demonic activity to creep thru a tiny chink in the armor and influence a person’s life. Simply put, it shows the depth of commitment one has made to Christ. But, I have my point. You have made your point. There is really no need to talk about it further.
I stopped watching when he said Light the fire! Now I'm trying to find out from the comments whether the young man died in the chimney! He MUST have lived because I hear so many accolades!

ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS AND VERY LOVELY FILM! Dame Maggie Smith's performance is stellar as always. Thank you for sharing this with Us. ✝️🙏💗🕊🇺🇸
I am 36 years old and found this movie to be a real treasure. I love the adaptation that allowed him to experience the past through the present of time … it is a great movie that I would consider as timeless. 😊
Oh my. I didn't think they made movies like this anymore...Such a beautiful, heartwarming, and touching story that draws the viewer in from the very first moment. The writing, acting, directing, cinematography were splendid! The UK really knows how to make movies with substance, skill, and talent. I do wish the volume were louder; the ads were deafening! I had to listen to some sections more than once to capture what was being said.
Yes, Same here.. 😊 I even thougt in some scenes that Mrs Tweedle reminded me of Mrs Crawley.. I've been watching Downton Abbey too much 😉 But what haunts me is that this film popped up after having a quarrel with my partner... that is something to think about... And aswell that this is the first night in many months that I am staying at my old house, where when I bought it I was told, that the first owner might have hidden a treasure somewhere, because before they sold it, the heirs where searching everywhere for it, but didn't find anything.... That's what the previous owner told me, when I bought it... Maybe I should look for a hidden chimney 🤔😮

Thanks so much for posting this! What an amazing movie! So grateful and blessed that I got to see it! Wholesome movies full of heart, like this one, are so rare! Plus, what a treat to see so many of the Downton Abbey cast together! Thanks again!
I truly love Julian Fellowes historical dramas. Wonderful cast really enjoyed this movie. Thank you Screen for posting it. When I was a young girl growing up in NY, my dad introduced me to reading, history, Masterpiece Theatre. MT had movies, mini-series from BBC, ITV, other UK media companies. That was before these companies became WOKE. from an American fan. I follow REAL AMERICA'S VOICE, GBN. Like several of the precious comments I will be 65 in Dec. Can't believe time has flown so fast. Always loved UK performers, nostalgic movies. Was so sad to find out his dad died and then seeing him as a ghost at the end.

I thought that David would come home. Well acted. Rest in peace Dame Maggie Smith.
Very sweet movie , it is heart warming, with a twist of a tear jerker. . I enjoyed seeing a few actors from Downton Abbey.
Awesome movie 🎦 withMaggiesmith 32:36
Beautiful
Thanks to this comment, I decided to go ahead and watch the first few minutes and was hooked too!
Indeed
I found it thoroughly enjoyable and unique - and loved that cast!
Can't go wrong with Maggie and Hugh.
Boggis was played by Allen Leech who was also in Downtown Abbey.
Julian Fellows was also involved!
@@harridan.Yes. Just a little 😂 Wrote, produced and directed it...very talented man (with a touch of old romantic about him!) ❤️
Plus Julian Fellowes name doesn't hurt either.
@@tourbillon13 thank you!
I WATCHED THIS MOVIE 2 TIMES BACK TO BACK. I didn't want to miss a moment. Such a beautiful and adventurous story.
Me to. And I cried both times.
me three!
Lovely movie, no profanity, nudity, just a simple Lovely ghost story & acceptance of lost loved ones. ❤️
@user-sc3ts6lf8r Is this sarcasm?
You said it well, after my heart. I couldn't agree more.
Yeah, agreed. I'm only 36 bit don't like any contemporary stuff, I only watch old movies... I can't stand it then have to put identity politics, violence, drama, unkindness to make it more "exciting"
@@42kellys Thank you.
You are so right!
What a movie. WHAT a movie!! So sensitively and beautifully written, acted and directed. Brilliant cast. I'm so glad people are finding and treasuring "uncommercial" films like this. Thanks for the upload!
Such a lovely movie. Great acting and casting. The story was wonderful. The costumes!! Spot on. Oh, how I wish they made more movies like this! ✨✨✨✨✨
I knew this was gonna be good with Julian Fellowes Maggie Smith, Hugh Bonneville. What a cast what a story just beautiful!
Totally. Julian Fellowes never disappoints!
Academy award winning movie. It made me cry. Trust in God and everything will be OK. Thank you for well written story.
This had tears from my eyes falling slowly... what an absolute gem of a story 💕💕💕
I LOVE m'y Nana and I still smell her cofee from Time to Time💖
The most wonderful and beautiful ghost story ever. And a most wonderful cast. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you Screen Blaze for uploading this charming and heartwarming lark.
Google isn't taking that away from me 😜
I'm 69. Studied Theatre Management. Then harsh life took over & and I deprived myself of a good story on film for way too long. Thank you for this.😊
Just 10 min in and what a very delightful Quaint and wholesome movie! Intertwining the past and the present was perfectly done and captivating! Thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of it❤️
Delightful indeed
October 27th 2024 - what can I say. They knew how to write stories and make movies back in the day.
So well melded together - CGI nope - just excellent camera and editing skills.
Well done. Beautiful movie and yes I too had a tear at the end.
❤❤❤
Not too much and not too little. Quite the well presented storyline. A good folly fully formed, as it were. Sweetly ghosted by just enough romance and mystery. I enjoyed it very much. Thank you.
This film is a rare gem,like Maggie...R.I.P. Legend.All the cast are excellent.A must see...10 out of 10 ❤
“Don’t Ever Quarrel Your Children”
It’s a lesson I’ve learned from this Lovely Movie, and that will Treasure, Hopefully For Ever!! ❤
What a wonderful, wonderful movie. I`m 82 and have had my head in books my whole life. I`ve never heard of this Greene Knowe series.
How disappointing to have missed them, as I am now losing my sight and can no longer read, Thank you Screen Blaze for uploading this film..
I am 78. What a treasure this was. I enjoyed every moment of it thank you
Loved this movie. A true gem that popped up out of nowhere and just what I needed.❤
Maggie Smith is/was the best-ever actress!
I really enjoyed that .. and yes, I sobbed at the end. Truth be told, I started crying from the part where the children died young within hours of each other... And the little church... Touching film ❤
I love movies with Maggie Smith in them! Hope to see more of them here on this channel! Loved this movie!! Thanks for uploading it!
Yup Maggie Smith is brilliant.
How wonderful is this film; how beautiful the story. What treasures the family finds past and present. Bravo to the writers; bravo to the directors; bravo to the actors; bravo for uploading such a moving masterful journey.
I enjoyed this movie so much. Love the cast. Love Julian Fellowes very well done❤
I use to watch these kind of programs with my mum an dad. I loved them, now I'm in my 60s and I still love to watch them. ❤❤❤
This was a lovely experience. Family in the past and present. Belivable. The young man in the picture was superb.
God bless Maggie Smith she will be dearly missed by all her fans! RIP MAGGIE ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
This is a wonderful movie. I am happy to have been able to see this masterful story unfold on screen. From Time To Time is such an appropriately named title. Spirits moving from Dimension to Dimension in and out of time. It certainly does open a door to many possibilities. I honestly loved this movie. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.
Great movie! A young lad is growing up and learning what what love, life and death are! So moving!❤️🌈
Very nice to see the rainbow signaling - I think - faith in God as it has for thousands of years.
The books are the Green Knowe series by Lucy M Boston.. I loved them when I was a child
What a wonderful story!! Julian does it again!! I loved it!!
This is the third time I've watched this movie - what a gem! Thank you Screen Blaze 🙂
What an absolute fabulous movie! 5 actors from Downton Abbey too!
I thought I counted six, I will have to check further. Who knew this was sitting out there, I don’t know how I missed this.
@@tanasarahdesign3781 you're probably right, lol.
Hugh Bonneville, Maggie Smith, Allen Leach, David Robb (Dr. Clarkson in .D.A, Lord Farrar in this movie at about 1:00:09 and 1:00:16), Christine Lohr(Mrs. Bird in D.A., Mrs. Robbins in this movie at about 45:22)
ETA Daisy Lewis(who plays the 1700’s kitchen maid who notices 1940’s Tolly) also played Miss Sara Bunting in D.A. Thank you janwheeler!
ETA (7th D.A. actor) Harriet Walker(Lady Shackleton) who is in the dinner scene just before the announcement about the house being on fire
@@tanasarahdesign3781 I would love to know who the 6th actor is.
During the dinner scene, just prior to the announcement of the fire, at about 1:04:15, there is a lady with dark hair. Did this actress play in D.A. too, playing a gossipy role there also?
Her name is Harriet Walter. In D.A., she played Lady Shackleton(Henry Talbot’s aunt) who was a friend of the Dowager Countess(Maggie Smith’s character)
ETA the first kitchen maid from the 1700’s is played by Daisy Lewis. She acted as Miss Sara Bunting in D.A. Thank you janwheeler!
What a beautiful movie and so skillfully done. Magnificent cast, and how could it be anything less with Maggie as the 'Anchor'! Should be far better known.
Julian Fellowes, never disappoints the viewer..
Any movie Maggie Smith is in is worth watching !😊
Sudden change in an angry boy…
What a lovely little movie. I watched it in parts so that it doesn't end but eventually it did.
A stellar cast...
What a great story, what a great cast!
I watched this movie years ago. Have been trying to find it ever since. Glad I caught it here. It is such a timeless story - so well written and played. Tear jerker for sure…..
Very good Ghost story, no gratuitous violence or cursing, enjoyed it very much. Thank you for sharing.
This is such a gem. I find it so hard to get lost in rich story written movies these days because they are far and few between. Lots of click bait- make a fast buck movies. Thank you for featuring this beautiful story.
Thanks so much for this - I'm absolutely torn between immediately indulging or saving it for a Christmas bingefest!
Watch it *both* times. Just have tissues handy.
Love Maggie Smith. The movie keeps moving right along. Never a dull moment.
I’ve been binging these older movies over last few days. The innocence and brilliance are what’s lost in today’s movies. ❤️💛💚🙏🏼
I loved the LM Boston books as a child. To see her books in film is a lovely gift. Thank you to the producers, director, actors and staff.
I LOVE YOU JESUS! ❤❤❤
ST JOHN 3:16! ❤️✝️❤️
Really lovely,Thank You,Julian,and Liz,and Maggie,and Hugh....such a heartwarming story,with all those characters we recognize.Would like this to be true,meeting our loved ones who've passed...😢❤❤❤❤❤❤
ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS AND VERY LOVELY FILM! Dame Maggie Smith's performance is stellar as always. Can't help but be moved by such performances and the Young Lad who played Trolley, Alex Etel, was brilliant. Sir Jullian Fellows did an exceptional job writing the Script and directing the film.
Thank you for sharing this with Us.

The closed captioning is imperfect but it helps a bit. I also had trouble with the volume.
@@zzydnythank you for the closed captioning suggestion. Helped me very much. Worthy words to listen to: great script.
Turn the adverts off, on your settings. I didn't have a single one. I hope this works for you 😊
Beautiful!!! Two lines " What others say Never Interest Me". And "Never Quarrel with Your Children". Beautiful!!!
A very sweet and sad but lovely movie. An incredible cast, I kept spotting familiar faces 😊
Yes, Same here.. 😊 I even thougt in some scenes that Mrs Tweedle reminded me of Mrs Crawley..
I've been watching Downton Abbey too much 😉
But what haunts me is that this film popped up after having a quarrel with my partner... that is something to think about...
And aswell that this is the first night in many months that I am staying at my old house, where when I bought it I was told, that the first owner might have hidden a treasure somewhere, because before they sold it, the heirs where searching everywhere for it, but didn't find anything.... That's what the previous owner told me, when I bought it...
Maybe I should look for a hidden chimney 🤔😮
absolutely lovely film im 64 years old and this film just pulled my heart strings and had me in tears at the end what a wonderful film thank you for posting
That was a awesome movie! Wonderful story. To have that kind of family history would be amazing.
Couldn’t have been wonderful for the people who’s enslavement was heralded on an industrialised scale, for the financial profit of others!
We all have very rich family stories tho much of our histories are lost. I've read that everyone in the world is connected by 7 or fewer degrees of separation.
Films like this are the best and make me feel nostalgic for a time i have never existed in. Gives me secret garden vibes.
One of the GREAT movies. Absolutely wonderful. Have saved it to show my wife and grandchildren.
I remember reading the books as a child, loved them.
Absolutely beautiful movie. Brilliantly done in true Fellowes fashion. Wonderful cast of characters and yes a tearjerker at the end.
Thanks so much for posting this! What an amazing movie! So grateful and blessed that I got to see it! Wholesome movies full of heart, like this one, are so rare! Plus, what a treat to see so many of the Downton Abbey cast together! Thanks again!
Well, "Let the dead bury the Dead"... thanks for beeing able to wath this real gem once more, one of the most valuable Films on this topic ever ❤
What a superb story...happiness adventure tears and a wonderful ghost story to boot.
