I also play this deck, Nordic Relic Svalinn is good to counter Tenpai. But my version is more like "Rank-3 Nordic Adventure". I play minimum Nordic monsters, play more Rank-3 engine, and start my Nordic combo with M-X-Saber Invoker to summon Nordic Smith Ivaldi. Then, using that Xyz to setup Armor Xyz engine. Armor Xyz cards are good for "free" banish Gullveig of the Nordic Ascendant.
@renaldyhaen sounds interesting, I'd like to give it a try if you could send the decklist. I personally do nordic/Generaider. And no matter what hand i have, a boss monster is coming out. The best hand will have Odin and Harr out on your opponents first turn (if you go first).
For nordic, its good to have the spell "hippo carnival" for Gullveig's effect when you don't have Alviss in your hand. It'll prevent you from banishing your own cards.
